When it comes to firearms, tachtical gear & accessories, if they don't have it, you probably don't need it. This is a Northest Reno neighborhood locally owned business. Easy to find on MaeAnne Avenue, the staff is over the top knowledgeable & friendly. There are ton's of store pictures on their website. If you find yourself in need, give them a try !! read more

Such an awesome group/staff! They have heart & care when it comes to sharing the knowledge of firearms & the gear they have in store. I felt their pricing is fair. I feel that their pricing reflects their service & the quality of gear you're purchasing. Lastly, if there is something they don't have in stock OR is something they rarely carry, they were more than willing to order the product for you. Such an amazing experience & they definitely make new gun owners or soon-to-be new gun owners feel welcome. read more

We were staying in a neighboring city and needed to re-up on ammo for our trip to an outdoor shooting range the next day. I called in before driving up to inquire if what I needed was in stock -- these folks had what I needed (called several stores beforehand). We took the drive and was met with Scorpius Tactical situated in a business mall park. As I walked in, I was greeted immediately and the salesperson quickly gathered what I needed from behind the counter. It was straight to the point but he was extremely professional and helpful. There was a bit of small talk about how ridiculous firearm and ammo prices have jumped up -- it's a pain! I paid for my merchandise and was out the store within 10 minutes. These folks carry a lot of tactical gear too so it's worth checking out if you're in the area. Nice guys! read more

Great store. Great deals. Great selections in-store and on-line. Extremely knowledgeable staff. They make you feel like family.

Only store i do business with. I am former lot of things, and on new stuff am still learning everyday @ 72 years old. Staff helped me with: Mounting optics, M-Lok, vertical grips, installing Gisselle triggers in my 3 piston driven Sig Sauers. Prices are terrific! I am former Miltary, FFL/S.O.T., Deputy. If you want wrong answers & want to go somewhere else and PAY MORE, this is not your store. Integrity, knowledge, and price. As well as genuine down to earth folks! Helped with getting suppressor transferred in 24 hours! Thanks Joshua, Jason, Matt, Katey. De Oppresso Liber. read more

These guys are awesome. They helped me set my collection including an amazing Sig micro for concealed carry, an AR 223/556 that can't be beat, and an amazing suppressed AR9 that's quickly becoming my favorite gun. ...Plus, every time I come in they are friendly and helpful. You've gotta come in and visit with these folks. They'll totally do you right!!! read more

I usually have my serialized items sent here. The staff are always friendly and helpful. I stopped by the other day because I needed a 5/64 roll pin for my gas block. No problem! I was given a roll pin from the back free of charge. They didn't expect me to buy anything... I just thought it would be polite to pick up a couple reasonably priced quality mag pouches to show my gratitude. I'm very happy with them. I've never had a bad experience with the staff and the prices are fair. Please support your local small business. They definitely deserve their community's support. The build is going great thanks to these guys! read more

Matt was very helpful and knowledgeable, the prices are in line with what you find else where, and they have a custom fitting service so that you can be fitted correctly for everyday wear. If you're looking for soft armor (IIIA) with a custom fit they can do it, they also have a selection of carriers and plates. read more

These guys were awesome, went in for a new AR set up, answered all my questions and were very personable. Like friends you havent seen in a long time. Still need to go back for a light, but definitely recommend Scorpius! Cheers read more

This place is awesome! The 2 staff members were friendly & welcoming, and got right onto helping me with my AR. This shop has a huge selection of some pretty descent stuff that are reasonably priced. Normally I order everything online... But, for sure this shop is going to be my go to place. 5 stars deserved. read more

Awesome service from the guys over at Scorpius. Variety of selection on guns , clothing , and holsters. Really cool local shop to support. Even if you're in town visiting, the clothing is high quality for a good price so go snag a shirt. read more

I visit this store pretty frequently for my AR-15 building needs. They stock brands that I prefer to use as well (bravo co, Magpul, eotech) great parts! Great gear! And great customer service by Jason who was super helpful and answered all my questions. Five stars read more

Primarily rifle oriented but a comfortable interior. Did not make a purchase. Staff was friendly and welcoming.

Maybe one star is better for being a condescending ass hat. Thirty years shooting. Two combat tours. But yeah I'm totally new. Oh yeah we ALWAYS dry fired into the fucking ceiling with our legs up. Brilliant. read more

Brought my AR in for what I thought would be some serious repair. The BCG wouldn't retract. Staff did what's called "Mortaring" and the BCG retracted immediately. These guys are stellar. Extremely knowledgeable and helpful. But most of all what keeps me coming back is there is no condesending attitude. I don't know what I don't know and the staff doesn't hold that against you. I learned something today. Earlier they helped me build this AR and didn't sell me what I didn't need. They took the time to help me understand the build process and what was needed, pros and cons and reasonably priced parts. This is my go to shop! Thanks guys. read more

Great shop with a courteous and very knowledgeable staff. These guys know their products inside and out and have a great selection of Parts, Accessories and firearms. They also have the best selection in town of body armor and accessories. If you're into Ar15's and other fun stuff you should check this place out! read more

Knowledgeable staff. Very helpful. Excellent products and a great variety. Highly recommend for your tactical needs.

My 7.62x39 locked up for an unknown reason. The Scorpius staff took it apart, found the problem, and fixed it within minutes. Their service and knowledge set the bar as tactical firearm shops go. Their prices are reasonable as well. I won't trust my firearms with anyone else. Great staff. Great shop! read more

Friendly and knowledgeable staff. Scorpius tactical has a better selection of accessories than any of the big box Reno stores. The staff spent time with me demonstrating accessory options, which the big box stores would not be aware of. Prices are also good / fair. read more

I don't have enough information to give them an actual rating. But My boyfriend and I are extremely frustrated, as we live an hour away, and drove here to look in their store. And after an hour we see they are closed, and the only notice they have posted is a hand written piece of paper on the door. It would be professional and courteous to your customers to at least update your hours online. So people like us don't spend 2 hours out of their day driving to a store that isn't even open. read more

Dropped by for the very first time just a few days ago to purchase an upper and a gas system for my build, and Scorpius Tactical has become my new favorite local gun shop! The gentleman who helped me was super friendly, knowledgeable, and went the extra mile to answer all of my questions. I've been to a few other shops in town, and let me tell you, some of the vibes were straight up intimidating/uncomfortable and just a tad bit off. But this place is like a breath of fresh air! The people here are just awesome, down to earth, and genuinely want to help you. I will definitely be back for my next AR10 build. Thanks again guys, and keep up the good work! read more

Every time I call before I stop in, these dudes are happy to help me. I'm a noob in the gun world and this store is super welcoming. They don't have the ego and attitude that seems to be prevalent in the gun world. They always have the things I need when I need it and they only sell quality. You won't be disappointed. read more

Awesome local shop with super knowledgeable staff. These are my go to guys for all things AR.

I come here all the time for various builds and random parts I need. These guys are really awesome. Always super knowledgeable about anything I ask them, really nice and respectful. These guys are nothing like some of the fudds you'll see at traditional gun stores. They have a great selection, advice, and prices. I recommend anyone getting their first gun, exploring gear/suppressors, or their thousandth gun to come here read more

I have been here a couple times, each time Jason spent a bunch of time explaining answers to the questions I had. I recommend this shop, and to the owner... Jason is an awesome employee. Great job gentlemen! read more

I needed some new targets to shoot at, and after a lot of googling and online shopping I came across Scorpius Tactical. I was getting ready to order a gong when I noticed these guys are actually in my home town!!! I stopped by this morning and was pleasantly greeted by a friendly man at the counter. I shopped around for a bit (lots of cool toys) and ended up talking with the guy about shooting and targets and metalworking for like 20 minutes. Awesome place! Friendly staff Great products Great prices Will be back! Their target stand system is pretty awesome. read more

This is a nice small business for your tactical needs. They have pretty much every piece of condor gear you could need. Specifically plate carriers and accessories. They also sell a variety of AR-15 parts and custom builds. Metal targets are another focus of this store. They are also known for sell a variety of quality metal targets and stands. I'd recommend stoping by if you are looking for anything condor related, so you can see it in real life. Also if you're looking to upgrade to a high value metal target, this is the place for you. ~BMO read more

First off, the guys who work there are awesome. Second, the store is just as awesome. Pretty much has all of your tactical needs. Now, off to the reason for this review... the 2 in 1 modular target stand. This is as good as it gets. Today was my 2nd time using it since buying it last week. Today I was shooting a new rifle and scope for the first time. Was able to sight my scope in on the paper target. Once zeroed, I moved straight to the gong without having to run down range and set up a new target. I put 2 .308 rounds into the rubber straps, and nothing. They completely self healed from a .308 round. This honestly takes 1 minute to completely setup. Super easy to carry once it's packed up. I will NEVER go to the range without this read more

Glad that these guys are in Reno. I will be buying some gear in the near future. Met them at the gun show and they were great. See you guys soon. read more

I've been going to this store for years now and have never left the store feeling like just another customer. Brian and staff have always guided me in the right direction with great knowledge and experience even when I just go in their to ask questions and not ready to buy. They don't mess around when it comes to performance builds either. They have built up two of mine and they are a night and day difference compared to other builds I have shot. Flat out if your looking for a new shop to go through, I'd highly recommend Scorpius Tactical. Thanks guys ! read more

Very nice store, very nice employees. My boyfriend bought me a nice belt, and the guy who rang us up seemed to enjoy talking to us.

I decided that I want to build an AR for my next firearm purchase instead of buying a generic rifle off the shelf. The next step was to find a place that actually carried AR parts, specifically the lowers. Not too many places seem to carry parts like lowers. After a few days research I came across Scorpius Tactical on Google. I face palmed when I realized they carried AR parts and they were only about a half mile down the road from my house. I assumed they were only a tactical gear/ military surplus store until I decided to stop in and take a look around for myself. I immediately found the part I wanted at a very good price. Decided to buy right then and there. Scorpius Tactical staff was very friendly and knowledgeable. The sale was very painless. I have been in multiple gun stores in Reno including the big box stores and I have had bad customer service experiences with the majority of them. Many places make buying a gun or shooting supplies very weird and uncomfortable. Shopping at Scorpius Tactical was a good overall experience. They are professional, friendly, their store was very clean and well presented. They have inventory on everything you need. No price gouging. All the products are great quality and priced reasonably. The staff was very helpful and knowledgeable. They have everything used to complete a rifle and way more. The most important thing for me was that I had a comfortable shopping experience. It was way better then I had anticipated given my previous shopping experiences elsewhere in Reno. I highly recommend this business. read more

Get here people. Scott knows what's up with tactical gear. Custom designed shirts, too. My personal favorites are the Nikolas Tesla themed shirts and the Die Hard quote shirt. " ho ho ho, now I have a machine gun." Awesome. read more

I've never actually bought anything from this place, but have been in a few times just to look around while getting my car worked on across the street. The employees seem super knowledgeable and are always happy to chat with you about firearms and equipment. They're always willing to help you with any questions you may have and give you guidance if you're looking for it. It's honestly always a pleasure to come into this store. If I ever buy a rifle, it'll most likely be here. By far the best service out of any gun store I've been to in Reno. read more

Can't say enough good things about this store. First Brian is very knowledgable and very friendly and doesn't mind answering any questions about any of the products they offer. He was very helpful when I purchased my plate carrier/plates and answered every question i had about my first set up and even offered suggestions about what works best from his personal rig. Im extremely happy to see they offer Ak accessories because there aren't any stores in town where you can get Rifle Dynamics Ak Stock adapters or ALG AKT Triggers. Fantastic store have been back many times since my plate carrier purchase and will be back again and again. Has a huge selection of accessories for your plate carrier as well as AR parts. Everything you can want! Absolutely love this place, keep it up guys! read more
