I've bought more than a few guns from them over the years. They've always known what they're talking about and answered my questions honestly, which is what keeps me going back. I don't care about their social skills or if they're busy and don't wait on me right away, which has apparently been a concern to some on here. They can go somewhere else, or suck it up and get over themselves. If you're that sensitive, go to one of the box stores where they'll tell you anything you want to hear and sell you stuff you don't need. They do have quite a inventory selection. They are pretty pricey on their firearms, which I get it- it's a business, but $1k on a roughly $700 AR pistol is off putting. The atmosphere of walking in was a bit awkward, didn't get any kind of "hello, welcome in, what can I/we help you with"... But one guy was pretty chill and let me check out what ever firearms I was interested in. I'll probably give this establishment another chance in the future and hope to give a 5 star next time. read more

It's been 2 months since I've reached out to this business about finding paperwork for the gun the sold me and didn't bother registering to my name. Police thought it was stolen so they won't give it back without proof. I've moved a few times and can't seem to find my paperwork. They said it could take 2 weeks on July 31st. Went in Bizzare Guns to talk to someone about doing some upgrades on my Glock and John was a Glock certified master armorer. I asked for a trigger job and fiber optic sites put in. Got the job done no problem. John called me when it was done, I came in and picked it up. He told me if there are any issues take it back to him and he will fix it. Would recommend it to anyone to get your weapon looked at to get a polish and a trigger job. My pistol feels better when I pull the trigger. John did an outstanding job on the trigger, sites and the polish. He did a few other things to it and when I asked him as to what he did he said "it's armors secret". I suspect he did a few things on the springs but not sure. Anyways, I have shot over 1000 rounds through it since and no problems. Everything works 100%! Updated on the trigger and site job on the Glock. No problems still shooting strong after 1000 rounds. Would highly recommend them if you want something done to your Glock. I know they have other guys who can work on other weapons. They are pretty well rounded and they said that the could work on most weapons. They also have a great selection of weapons. For those who are active military and law enforcement they have discounted prices for weapons. I always feel like a kid in a candy factory when I go to Bizzare Guns. Parking is okay but it could be a problem if they have a full house. Plus they are attached to a guitar shop. The guitar area is where you will pay when you purchase weapons or ammo. If zero stars was possible, that's what I would give this place. Yes the ammo is over priced and I get that but the lack of customer service, the arrogant attitude and then talking to me as if I was an idiot was not acceptable. I won't be returning. The only reason you are still in business is because of the mark up on your ammo not the "service" you provide. Terrible local business. Shame shame shame. read more

Place has plenty of guns and ammo for your needs, what they don't have is a good attitude or customer service. If you're looking for good and friendly service then I would highly suggest you go to either Scheel's or Cabelas because the people who are behind the counter are some good SOB to say the least. They are rude and don't know how to treat their customers. Also if you go in make sure you already know what you want because they will direct you to buying a Glock as if they have some type of contract with them. Ammunition? The prices are WAAAAY to high and with 4 people working and no customers, they couldn't be bothered to answer the phone and we could hardly get help once we got there. Started coming in here about few weeks ago, came to browse ended up buying a Glock 22c the best customer service and process was easy! A week later decided to shop around for night sights, came back here for nights sights had them installed the gentleman who installed them was blessing me with some knowledgeable stuff on sights, as he's installing them I'm looking around and I see a Glock 31c I don't know what it is but I love the compensated models, so guess what I ended up buying it and just picked it up today, thank you guys! 1 star for the wide selection. Prices are nuts, and customer service is ass. I've been in 3 times, each time they got upset if I wanted to handle any of the firearms I was considering purchasing (which just made me feel like I was bugging them and just left instead). How good can it get? How about one half of the building is a fantastic gun store, with alot of everything that is bad in California but totally fine next door in Nevada. (be sure to pronounce Nevada correctly or else they will correct you!). I found some unique parts here. THe other side of the store is a guitar mecca with far far more inventory than you'd see in a Guitar Center. Maybe GC would have a bit more on the extreme high end of Gibson LPs. But for PRS, ESP, LTD, all other manner of shred guitars, these guys have insane inventory. I am pretty sure I am going to drive back here from SF Bay Area for a day of playing with their stuff and buying a guitar. They also have a few drum kits stacked up, and a quite decent selection of used amps/cabs. But it's rock guitar mecca here... Very nice people on both the gun and guitar store sides. If you are into either, I guarantee you won't be disappointed with the lack of stuff to look at. read more

My absolute go-to gun shop in Reno. The reason for this being their stellar customer service. So...story time. I price shopped for a new 9mm Shield, and the lowest price was found at another store. I called Bizarre and asked if they would price match the gun, and they said they would. When I showed up they sold me the gun at the lower price no questions asked. I usually leave gun shops with a bitter taste in my mouth; this is because most gun dealers have bad attitudes and aversions to talking to customers. I've now purchased 2 guns from Bizarre and been in many times just to admire their inventory, and every single time I've been greeted with friendly, helpful staff. I came in here looking for a sweet ass shotty and all I got was attitude from the staff! What's the point in having service staff if you have to be an expert on everything before going in? Also, I asked the guy behind the counter if I could buy a cool Glock baseball cap like he was wearing, and he assumed I was mocking him. If you aren't secure enough to wear firearm apparel, you probably shouldn't work in a gun store, just sayin'. I should probably mention that I wasn't completely unprepared. I had several well researched questions lined up like, "Which boom stick has the best kill radius?" "What hand cannon will look sickest when I turn it to the side and make 'blap-blap' noises?" and "Which firearms are most easily dual-wielded?" Overall an unpleasant experience that really turned me off to the idea of packing heat. The only reason I didn't give Bizarre Guns one star is that I couldn't bring myself to give an establishment that sells something so awesome such a low rating. One positive: next door is Bizarre Guitar, so anyone who needs to fulfill all their Antonio Banderas/Desperado fantasy needs can find it all in one place. read more

Bought a firearm about a week ago still on wait, I only paid for the background upfront, since their busy, I understand and respect the waiting period. I called yesterday to see if my background had gone threw, the guy who answered the phone, had a attitude, I ask if my paper work had be processed, first response "did we call you to let you know it was ready, no , second response but did we call you, third response if we didn't call you then it's not ready, the whole time his attitude over the phone was so negative. I understand you guys are busy and dealing with A lot of people, that's why I decided to call and check. But I learn a lesson you guys can't handle the pressure from the customers. Went to Bizarre Guns twice with 2 totally different experiences in the last 3 days. I was looking to do a firearms transfer for a factory direct order (by the way, factory direct can be weird!). The first individual I spoke to on 29 April basically told me "No" to the requirements of the transfer (-1 Star). He didn't seem like a subject matter expert though, so I gave them another shot on 1 May. I spoke with "Todd" there and he was able to work with me and eventually we were able to get on the same page and make a deal! I was an oddball customer with an unusual request, but Todd was able to come through for me and didn't treat me like a dang number (most other shops did). I'd love to give this review 5 Stars, but the first individual was not conducive to making a deal at all. Very poor salesmanship in my opinion. His saving grace was that he suggested that I could return during the week where they had people more knowledgeable about transfers. If that was the case, then he shouldn't have told me "no" to the transfer... maybe try "You know, I'm not certain, you'll have to speak to ______ who is a lot more knowledgeable on the transfer subject than I am." All in all, I'm happy with them, but if you get a cold shoulder or a weird vibe, just talk to someone else there. read more

Really just the best gun store in town. Friendly staff who will NEVER make you feel dumb, will go out of their way to explain things, and will find the exact weapon you are looking for. Good selection, fair prices, and they keep their word. They held a shotgun to the side for 2 weeks just because I mentioned i'd be interested in it (I did come back)...refreshing to see business run like that. I've purchased one other rifle from them, just top class place. Will be back sometime for a new Glock! read more

One of the 2 best & well stocked Gun shops in Reno. These guys are very friendly, know the business of Guns, & do not "price gouge" in times of public panic due to threats from the gov on our RIGHTS. Bought 2 guns from them in the past month. They continue to offer a good selection & have hard to find guns when no one else in Reno including "the big boys" have them.
