I first went to this shop when I was new in town. Didn't have much money at the time and was treated pretty poorly at a lot of other gun shops because I wasn't ready to make a purchase at the time...until I came to this store. The guys were more than helpful, they gave me a lot of great advice, and treated me like a real person. I was so impressed at their willingness to help, frank advice, and even gave me a trigger guard and refused to charge me. Fast forward a few years and this was where I went first to make my first big purchase and was once again, dually impressed. I refer all my friends here and stop by at least every couple months to pick up accessories and ammo. When it's time for another tool purchase, this is where I will go. One of the best gun places in Reno, not only for firearms but for ammo as well. While big retailers like Walmart, Cabela's, and Scheels easily run out of rare ammo like .22 LR bullets; this place always seems to have them in stock. They have an impressive selection of shotguns and handguns. And the staff are very welcoming and friendly, and are always open to share their gun knowledge with you. read more

Their selection is outstanding, the staff are all friendly and knowledgable, and most importantly, during the Great Gun Shortage of 2012, they have not gouged their customers with price increases, even though they certainly could have! i wrote a bad review recently about Bizarre Guns to say the least. Today i had a humbling learning experience, i went in to pick up a firearm that i had shipped to Bizarre Guns and was given the opportunity to speak to each employee that was working there tonight, Not only do i completely retract my previous review, I deleted it. John and his staff each took time to talk to me and explain how i was acting the last couple of times i was there. The Bottomline is not only did they gain my business back they taught me some lessons on how to behave in their store. which in my opinion is 100% their right as they have the ability to refuse service to anyone. John, his staff , and myself all spoke separately and they all said that they would appreciate my business. not only did they point out some of the ways that i was acting ( which was not Ok on my part) they also said that we all have bad days and maybe my bad experience was a combination of both. i wrote the previous review based off of emotion rather than rationality. it ended with a very positive customer experience and i feel i may even have the chance to become friends with John and his staff. Bizarre Guns has been around for a long time and has an amazing selection of just about anything related to firearms. ive become aware that these are my type of people and will absolutely continue to do business with Bizarre guns from here on out. I have never been treated so rudely. Called to ask about a derringer I was wanting to buy my grandmother for protection. The guy on the phone was put out because he had to walk across the store to check price. He said I needed to just come in. Sorry but why would I drive somewhere if they don't have what I want? Really the one star is because of there horrible return policy, you better make sure you have what you want. They claim no refunds is posted all over the store but I didn't see one damn sign that said no refunds. The receipt says no cash refunds but I bought with a credit card??? Apparently to them it's the same thing!!! They were nice to make the sale but when it was the wrong piece of gear they could care less!!! read more

I read the reviews and some had only one star. I was very concerned before going. After I entered the store, I was warmly greeted. The person behind the counter was very humorous. Unlike other places that got very low inventory, they have a lot of gun parts and accessories. I found what I was looking for and its a very pleasant experience. I will definitely go back. read more

Bored and decided to kill some time while I'm in Reno, so I decided to browse some gun shops. The first place I stopped was juggernaut. I walked into tiny shop and the guy working didn't even acknowledge I was there. After looking around for a bit I asked about a part for a gun and he looked at me like a deer in the headlights, so I left. I drove around and found Bizarre guns, when I walked in they greeted me like a business that wants my business should. The girl that I dealt with was knowledgable and very friendly. When I found something I wanted I bought it for that fact. I will always support a business that makes time for to the customer rather than buying online. read more

I went in yesterday to buy a gun for home defense for my family and had a lot of questions and Lauren an older gentleman in there was so helpful and answered all of my family questions and showed us a few different guns... So we wanted to talk about it as a family so we left well about an hour later I called Lauren and let him know we were on our way back but I have found some items cheaper and he said when I get back he would take care of it and we went back and bought a sccy 9mm semi-auto and it's a very good gun and we are very happy.... Not exactly the best experience with this gun store. I was faced with having to buy- back a rifle/family keepsake that was sold to the store by someone that didn't have the right to sell the rifle in the first place. Be that as it may, I encountered the worst possible attitude from the store manager (Mike). Mike seemed intent on intimidating myself and my friends that were with me. His demeanor was very unprofessional and demeaning towards my friends and I. It took everything I had within me to keep my composure and not to belittle this so called Store Manager. In the end we were able to recover the family keepsake not before enduring the worst possible customer service ever. I have just one question for the owner of this store and the so called manager. Whatever happened to having compassion for people? Not just people in the general sence of the word but primarily YOUR CUSTOMERS! To the owner of this business.
