My only negative, and the reason for 4 stars instead of 5, is that Jeff (owner) is very busy and sometimes it's hard to schedule times when he's actually going to be in the store. He teaches the classes, conducts the range sessions, provides security for some businesses etc. all in addition to running the store. So I understand why he's so difficult to schedule, but I have to drive 35 miles to get there so dropping by is not an option for me.

Armed & Safe Yelp review…read more I called about taking a training class and reached Kelly right away. I got the most professional advice I could have hoped for from her, plus a follow up a few minutes later with added information. I like that I got detailed knowledge of laws and timeframes affecting my questions -- especially right in the middle of the COVID crisis. I was provided with options I found useful and I've acted on them. Unfortunately, the "pandammit" has stuck Armed & Safe -- along with so many others -- with barriers and hassles, but they are still cheerful and professional. Based on my experience, I'd recommend Armed & Safe for any training, technique and anything else they provide. I'm certain their products and services will be top-notch.

I look forward to taking additional instruction from Steve as well as getting my wife into a CCW class. You won't be disappointed.

Great gun store and even better range; best in Northern Nevada!…read more The service is fantastic. They are patient and really go out of their way to make sure you're comfortable and that you understand safety and what you're doing and make everything really easy. When you get there you complete your registration and rent a lane. Then you can either use your own firearm, eye and ear protection, and ammunition or you can rent or purchase everything. You can rent handguns and various semi-auto rifles for a flat rate plus ammunition, or you can rent automatics or belt fed machine guns by buying magazines or belts, no flat rental rate required. It can all add up pretty quickly but overall the rates and prices are reasonable. I had a great time, my favorite was firing the Thompson submachine gun on full auto, and will definitely be back for the M1!
