I would recommend this gun store very highly, the owner Eileen Ferguson is very accommodating. When I happen to have anything come in and I am out of town, she is very good at holding on to items until I come in to pickup. I was calling all around Carson to find a part and called Carson Armory to see if they had it. Not only did they have it, the associate on the phone said, "It's our last one, want me to put it aside for ya?" He did! It was my first time there, and the store is very organized, the staff there VERY helpful and professional and friendly. After calling them to get the ok,I sent several firearms here from a gun dealer in Alaska.A week later the owner calls and says she has received them.....but one of the firearms was a old trappers pistol, with a wire fold out stock. First she says it will cost $200 to get me registered. Then she says the ATF has outlawed the firearm unless I had it registered. It has been in our family for 50+ years. How was I supposed to know that... but she sure reported it to ATF. So long story short, it was sold for parts thru her company. Do not trust this old bat. She does not look out for anyone but herself.She knew I was sending the antique to her. But she chose to accept it,and reported it. Buyer beware. You have been warned. read more

Always friendly and helpful, they don't have that "gun shop guy attitude" . When I am looking for a gun I always call and check if Carson Armory can get what I'm looking for. Sometimes they can and sometimes they cant. Whats great is how understanding and affordable Carson Armory is if you have a gun sent to them that you bought online. Most gun shops don't like you shipping online guns to them and charge you a ton of money. This shop is very friendly, they don't have that "gun shop guy attitude. Usually they have some unique items, and fair prices.... this place pre sandy hook/Obama's was my go to gun store... but then they stopped haggling, their used/consignment gun selection went to hell (I know not their fault, but ultimately it affects their store) and it's just turned into another hodgepodge store with misc stuff strewn about. Which is fine I don't mind looking, but my wife and I went in this weekend looking to spend some cash and 2 people at the counter didn't even bother to greet us. After 15 minutes of puppy dogging the counter try to look at a gun we walked out. The store standard kind of slipping I can cut some slack because of the current gun climate, but sub or selection and bad service I'll shop else where. read more

I like that they have an inventory of guns on display, but am disappointed that they don't display any ammunition. Currently, they won't sell any due to the shortage -- unless I buy a gun. If Eileen isn't there, I walk out. The male staff never smile or greet me when I enter and never ask if they can help me. Even if I'm the only customer in the store, they act like the cat's got their tongues. I hate being ignored. read more

This is by far the worst gun shop I've ever been in.... I'm guess because I'm a woman with kids they decided my business wasn't needed.... walked in with over 1k in cash in my pocket to spend on holsters, ammo and possibly a few fire arms if something caught my eye.... walked in today around 1pm to shop for my Hubby's bday there were at least 3 men standing around working talking to one customer about his dodge but didn't greet us ask if we needed any help just peeked around the corner like we were trying to steal something. The inventory is not great and not well organized I was in their shop for about 10 mins found a few things I wanted but decided to walk my happy ass with all my money right out the door. NEVER EVER will I ever go back here nor will I recommend them to my many friends whom are avid lawful gun owners. My family is always in the market for fire arms, ammo, etc. we buy on a monthly basis but will never give them a dime. Try and step up your customer service fellas!!!!! read more
