I'm going to start by saying the owners are 100% top notch people they helped me out when they didn't have to and I am so grateful for that. However they have some guy working there claiming he is from Oakland and try's to put his views on everyone that walks into the shop. He's tried it with me and I've seen him do it to others. Your opinion is great man that's why they call it an opinion just do t try to make everyone else have your same opinion. I'm giving 5 stars because the owners are seriously great people. read more

Great service & value really appreciated the knowledge of the person who waited on us

Knowledgeable, honest, great group of guys. They won't lie to you to make a sale. Great to buy guns here if you are a beginner or if you are an expert. Great selection of handguns and rifles all the way up to latest models. My favorite gun shop period. read more

Went in to this store looking to purchase my first Akm. Ask the guy "I'm looking for an Ak under 1000 bucks ". He legit laughs at me and says good luck finding that and then proceeds to help other customers. I found a wasr for 675 right down the street. Straight clowns work here. read more

Dave and Josh were GREAT! My son and I used the shop for recent purchases. The transaction was flawless. After the purchase; Josh spent about a half an hour going through functionality/safety with my son. I will definitely be back! read more

My 3rd visit, the employee's here are the best, very very friendly and easy to talk about anything to do with weapons. If you are new or experienced, it makes no matter, they treat you well. Since I'm a retired LEO, they support our field of service and are truly great people to talk with. Very experienced in the pistol area and knowledgeable in the trade. Prices are fair but the employees are what brings me back. I feel like I'm family on my second visit. Going back to purchase a Rock Island XTM 22 magnum pistol. Been looking for a 22 magnum pistol that works, and this is the one. read more

I stopped in on Saturday looking for a box of Shotgun shells... showed my ID the to guy at the door, when the lady who was "in charge of ammo" ( her words ) demanded to see my ID again I chose to leave the store... the same lady decided to give me a lecture and get very rude. I told her I didn't want to hear it I just wanted to leave so she told me to "Fuck off" and "leave the store" Obviously I won't be going back... read more

Don't go here unless you are A) from Nevada B) you really like guns. NO CALIFORNIA RESIDENTS ALLOWED! Some CA visitors whine and gripe in other "reviews" about not being allowed to shop here. Too bad. As per Section 30312, no CA resident may legally bring guns or ammo across the state line. Treat them respectfully and intelligently, they respond in kind. Inside of 10 minutes, did me a favor for no reason at no cost. Be demanding and rude, and you'll get the same. These guys know their business. I'll be back! read more

These guys are pathetic. My problem isn't the masks, that was the other customer. Why don't you read my review before writing a comment back. And believe me I won't be going back to your store. I hope you go out of business. You're part of the problem charging people 3x the normal amount of ammo. I'm all about supporting small business but not people like you. read more

This place is absolute garbage. They refused to let anyone in from california, as specified by a sign on their door. I have been shooting guns all my life, and from one gun owner to another, I sincerely hope this place goes under! Shop somewhere that doesn't discriminate. read more

Wild Bill's Guns Too - A sign on their door. - Guns & Ammo Near Me - Carson City, Nevada

Well, ever since I Moved from California, everything I have bought has pretty much been here at Wild Bills, Dave, pulls no punches, he is straight and to the point. If you can not find something he'll go the extra mile and try to find it for you.. or if you already own something and aren't too sure on things with your firearm he will educate you. A lot of people complain because, he wouldn't let you in if you where from California, that's his choice, you don't like it, keep it moving. Dave, has always been fair with prices, and will go the extra mile to make sure your happy. I've seen some guns I've bought for a few dollars less, but, I don't get the same service if I choose to go else where. You people who are writing bad reviews, really have no idea, what your actually talking about. Why, should people of Nevada suffer, because California's don't want to change.. If you want an Honest Local (GSO) Gun store Owner, go see Dave. I bought a new handgun from him, got a descent price, and was treated fair. That's all I ask. Show this man some respect and he'll take care of you.. read more

No wonder why people are talking about this shithole.... Not from NV, don't waste your time. They refuse service to anybody not from NV They guys there are seriously overprice and inpfoeessional. read more

Wild Bills is is a great shop with a huge selection of new and pre-owned firearms. Dave is great and always helpful when you go in there. Highly recommend this place! read more

Staff funny and knowledgeable, lots of guns. Big smiles and felt welcomed. Definitely go there and give them a look.

Out of state review - Was driving around in the area looking to possibly relocate. Saw the gun store and couldn't help but to go in. Great place, great staff, ammo decently priced in today's time. I saw someone's review saying they were law enforcement and weren't let in. My experience was very different. I'm also in law enforcement I told them I was and they asked to see my credentials (for proof of course) and I was in the door. No questions asked. I got to look around and laugh and joke with the staff. I can honestly say I was treated much better here than in my home state as a law enforcement officer. Definitely made me consider this area to relocate. read more

They actually have ammo in stock it is obviously covid prices but if your looking for ammo today they have it in stock! If you have a California ID they will not let you in the door, you have been warned lol read more

I went in to look for a deer rifle for my son. As soon as I entered the store I saw two of the clerks at the counter give us a dirty look. Now, my son is going through a phase and has died hair. Whatever, I brushed it off. I asked to check out a .308 rifle and the guy (40's dark hair) asked me what I was going to do with it. I said hunt, and he pressed me to tell him what so I told him none of his business and asked to look at rifle from a different make in .308. Meanwhile another employee kept staring at my kid. The guy hands me a bolt action .22 and says "maybe you should start here". Yeah well my son has been shooting my hunting rifles since he was 10 years old and we don't need anyone to tell us what we can and can't handle. read more

Great customer service and they actually have AMMO!! The manager David is very helpful. No California's though don't waste your time

An interesting gun store operated by passionate folks. I was recently building an AR-15 and needed a little help finding a good way to drive the mag catch pins. The manager at the store showed me a super simple way which made my build much simpler. Using an Allen key to hold the mag catch while driving in the pin. Good shop with many choices in pretty much whatever whatever you need. read more

Wild Bill's Guns Too - Little advisement to my previous states inhabitants - Guns & Ammo Near Me - Carson City, Nevada

Friendly, knowledgeable and helpful staff, good product selection. Was just browsing but will go back to purchase.

David is really knowledgeable and always helps me out with questions and gives me his personal opinion on parts and accessories that I have bought for my guns. They always seem to have ammo in stock for my guns too. Just don't be an @sshole or from Ca and you are good. I also enjoy seeing the dog! Thanks for all your help David! read more

California pricing and I couldn't get any help even though they weren't busy. Which was OK because I bought the pistol I wanted right down the road for considerably less, Thanks! I only scored the second star because there is a really good inventory of firearms. read more

This isn't a corporate big box establishment, it's not managed by computer models. Its run by people who care about their business, and their customers. Who go to amazing lengths to ensure they have what you need. The kind of place which places their customers needs above a quick buck. I often tend to be very critical in my reviews, but in this case, my experience was just outstanding. On a scale of 1-5, I would rate them as a 10. read more

Great store, huge selection, reasonable prices. They even have cool masks. The staff is knowledgeable and their business practices are fair. read more

I have never had such a bad experience at a gun store. A homemade cardboard sign greeted us informing us that anyone from California cannot buy ammo there. Mr. Bill rudely demand us to show him our ID's. After telling him we were from California and asking to look around at some accessories this rude clown wouldn't even let us in. I am in law enforcement in California and needed to look at some holsters and magazines. Extremely unprofessional. Every other gun store in Carson City treated us professionaly. read more

So my review is mixed. Went in to check out a certain pistol. It had just been sold to a customer who had to wait for a background check. So the fellow let me handle the gun. I also wanted to break it down. Then we couldn't figure out how to put the slide back on. The owner/ sales rep? Stopped by to quickly try to help. And then he said he really shouldn't let customers handle the merchandise. He didn't know how to put it back together either. Really? I sure am not going to invest in a weapon if I don't know just certain basics. I must also say it was pretty busy, but that comment really set me back. We did get the slide back on and this customer won't find himself in a pickle when he is home to decipher the mechanism. I must say they do have a huge inventory and was told that pre orders are accepted. But........... again, I do think I should be able to handle the merchandise. read more

Was greeted at the front door by a man with mean look on his face who asked for my ID. When he saw that it said California he would not let me in the store and was very rude about it. I've had some bad experiences at gun stores over the years but this was by far the worst. read more

Make this your first stop for the best in the west selection of hole punchers !! Pew power , plinking , reloading, and boom boom. Make this your go to store for outdoor and indoor activities. Best customer service in the area !! If they don't have something, which is very rare, they can get it !! Dave and his staff have been a great help in helping with FFL transfers, Single Action Army .45's to everyday carry. Stop wasting time and money shopping elsewhere. Go here first !!! read more

Great people especially David and his Wife. Sometimes I go just to browse and talk with them about guns and other times I do get ammo. Some of the ammo is ridiculously high but it's worth getting due to not finding it elsewhere. Otherwise, fantastic shop and I appreciate the fact that they are only serving Nevada residents. I appreciate that in every way. read more

Best selection around. Employees help you to find and satisfy all your firearm needs.

Terrible customer service wouldn't sell me a gun due to my parents address totally unprofessional for a business owner he would think he would be different but that's obviously not the case Definitely not recommended gun shop in Carson City read more

I went into the store to purchase a handgun and the owner was super disrespectful because I'm pretty sure I was a girl that's the only reason I could see he acted like I didn't know what I was talking about and definitely needs a reality check anyone who comes into the store should second guess and go check out Christie at battle born she is a little more stern but knows exactly how to treat her customers and will also price match to a certain degree way better customer service from her employees read more

My first visit as Californian. Back 8-16-21 I was asked where I'm from and my answer was LA , Ca I had some questions and David answer them all I told him that wild bill's would the store that I will make all my purchase's, my second visit was about 2 mouth's ago and I purchased 2 firearms from David like I had promised, this's by far the friendliest and more knowledgeable store in Carson city,NV I walk in at opening and I walked out 25 min later. Thanks David I see you soon read more

This is the newest shop in Carson City but, hands down, it is the best. I've purchased three firearms here, new and used, each transaction handled without fuss and at a fair price. Biggest inventory of firearms you'll find anyplace that doesn't have "Cabela's" or "Scheels" on the door. If they don't have it, they can and will get it. The store manager is a subject matter expert on "black rifles", particularly Russian stuff and derivatives, as well as building them from the ground up. If your tastes run to AR's, AK's, SKS or any of their clones, this is the place you want to visit. Good selection of ammunition and accessories, the shop also handles archery, western period clothing and has a great selection of knives and optics. read more

Got harassed over a mask while 6 out of the 7 in the building had no mask on. Double standard, I'm done.

Awesome gun store run by good people. I really appreciate that they don't t allow CA residents to come buy all our ammo and guns.

They have horrible customer service and are selling bad ammo. Very rude prices also marked too high
