Today my husband got very sick while we were out on a ride I called Salesmen Jim to ask for help to get my husband's Trike and him back home from Minden to Dayton he told me don't worry I'm sending Kevin and the truck to him it's going be a while but we got ya. ROLLING down the freeway in Carson City when a scraping sound begins as I slightly lean into the right hand curves. I see BATTLE BORN Harley-Davidson ahead at the next off ramp. I dismount at the Service Center to find the lower exhaust pipe hanging on by only two bolts at the cylinder head. The after market Vance & Hines staggered pipe assembly requires a "dog-bone" nuts and bolts mount that has completely disappeared. The service technicians were professional and immediately walked me over to the Parts Manager. He introduced himself and walked outside with me to see exactly what I needed. Within 20 minutes, I was back on the road. Accolades to the entire staff at BATTLE BORN especially the new Parts Manager. I think he said his name was Rick. read more

Went in there on a Saturday to complete a purchase on a brand new 2024 street glide. They had an event going on so it was a little busy which I understand. After letting them know what time we would be there we still had to wait about a half hour before we can even sign paperwork to take the bike home. I thought I was helping out by rolling the bike in side to do the picture but instead got about five people, whistling and screaming at me and making a big scene. I was with my wife and child at the time. So instead of pulling me to the side and maybe say something, they decided to embarrass me in front of the whole store. I even talked to my sales person on the side and he continued on embarrassing me. After that, we were sent to accessories and clothing area with the salesman behind the counter there just talked down to me in a condescending way like I didn't know anything. Got out of there as quickly as possible. Just very rude to their customers. I don't understand it. This is the second bike I have purchased from them. If I could give no stars, that would be more accurate. We dropped off bike, completely detailed clean, for service. After paying just under $8,000, and picking up the bike was filthy . The customer service was deplorable. We got the bike home, bike was leaking oil. It never leaked before. (See attached pics). Their customer service, well they had none. I had never spent this much on any vehicle repair and have never had a vehicle returned in such poor condition. I would recommend going elsewhere for service or repairs. Better communication, hire people in service department that don't lie to you or try to get over on you. They need all around better customer skills. They had my trike for just over 2 months for a job that would have taken 1 week maybe 1 1/2 weeks, it was a warranty job and they started complaining that I might have to pay more than my deductible because of their screw up. When I picked up trike I told service writer that I wasn't happy with taking so long and his response was, the bike is done it's clean I can't go back in time and make up time that the bike runs great and just take it. I will never recommend to anyone this shop for anything, I will never take my trike to them again I will go to Reno Harley or Folsom Harley, probably Folsom. read more

I've stopped by this HD twice in the past 6 months, today being the most recent. The first time I was alone, so I figured the fact that not a sole said a word to me the entire time I walked the entire dealership looking at bikes and clothing could be overlooked. I mean, who wants to be bothered by customers when you have a comfortable office chair to sit on or texts to answer? But today I bring my wife along as she was looking for a HD hoodie. We walk in, didn't notice another customer in the place and started browsing. I looked at the bikes while she looked at the clothing. I even wore my HD hoodie! We happened to notice a young lady putting clothes away nearby and it was obvious she worked there. I walked by her once, my wife a couple of times, even making eye contact. You'd think we would get a "hi, can I help you?" or at least a "welcome in". Nope. Just turned and walked away. And for me, I walked by at least 3 different salesmen (I know because they came out of their empty offices) and not a word! My wife and I both noticed the lack of service and said, let's walk around the entire store together and see if anyone says anything to us just for its and giggles. Walked right by the same female employee and a salesmen and not a flipping word!! We were there maybe 20 minutes, never saw another customer inside. We won't ever return to this HD dealership and you may want to save yourself the same experience by going elsewhere if customer service matters to you. read more

They blamed it on the national Hog rules. We have been riding with this group for 2 years with no problems until now. This appears to be very underhanded and unfortunate. I will be contacting the National Hog to complain about this local dealership and the battle born HOG chapter. I had my 2001 heritage softtail serviced for the 50, mile maintenance! I got it back & noticed oil on the oil pan a week later commuting back & forth to work! I figured maybe it was just coming from the servicing. I took it on a 300 mile ride a month later & noticed it was spraying oil heavily halfway through the ride when I was gassing up! There was just over half the oil left in the oil tank. I rode it back to Battle Born Harley Davidson where they fixed the leak which was a leaky seal on the push rod tube. They didn't attempt to clean the bike or add the oil I lost because of their mistake! Spending $5400 on everything I needed done you would think service would be much better! This story is almost unbelievable. I have a (new to me) 2014 CVO Breakout with just 1,400 miles. I pulled into a breakfast diner at 8:30am on a Saturday. I immediately noticed fuel leaking from the fuel line below the tank. Gushing out. Luckily, the bike did not catch fire. I called Battleborn and left a voice message, knowing they did not open for another half-hour. Within 3 minutes Wayne called me to say he was on his way with their huge Ford truck with a cradle-snatching ramp to pick me up. He was there in 15 minutes of my call! It gets better. Normally I would get the bike home, watch a few YouTube vids and try to diagnose and fix myself. It is fun and saves money. But I didn't want to mess with this CVO; what could be wrong with such low miles? (the issue was dry-rot of the o-ring inside the fuel line connector at the tank from not being ridden by previous owner). Anyway, later on I was apprehensive about the pending cost of a tow, diagnostic labor, parts, and labor to fix. My friends and I took bets what the cost would be. $350-$500 was the range in costs from the group. For all those who call Harley dealers "Stealers", etc. can drink a quart of shut-up juice. Why? The dealer total cost was $123. All-in. What? I was shocked as I expected much more. Get this; they also cleaned up the bike from all the fuel that covered the engine. They also cleaned up and detailed the entire bike. They filled the damn gas tank too. This dealer has more than earned my business. A big thanks to Wayne the paramedic, who rescued me and the bike BEFORE the dealership even opened, and to Jordan at the service desk who stayed in touch with me, and the tech who knew what to do (whose name I forgot) and the entire service team. That is what one calls exceeding customer expectations. read more

When you notice other people greeted but of course you can definitely tell why... disappointed. Had my bike serviced last month by this dealership - had the worse experience as a consumer. Service Advisor Bert, did not like that I was asking questions about my bike and the service. He was rude and condescending - I am a business owner and if I had an employee like him, they would not be working for me after the way he treated me. He was rude the entire day and at the end when I asked for the bill so I could look at it, he tossed it to the service advisor next to him and told him to finish me and stormed away like a child. This store is quite large - especially compared to the Reno location. I was out on my Harley taking a ride and decided to stop by the Carson store. I've driven or ridden past it many a time but never stopped. The parking lot was a big odd - right before you enter their property the driveway has a decent size lip. I wasn't expecting the road to dip and the driveway to raise so that lead to a painful bump to my keister. That didn't seem to be an ideal entrance to a motorcycle shop. Shop was clean and staff was friendly. They had a much larger bike selection as well as apparel and trinkets. The bathroom was clean and the parking was plentiful. They had some beautiful custom bikes as well. Staff in the bike sales area were indifferent at best but since I was only there as a pit stop I wasn't too bothered by their failure to engage. So as far as the bathrooms and the browsing went - solid. Anything past that I can't say. read more

Excellent customer service!! Our HOG chapter was headed to Tahoe and on the way up from Pomona Valley, CA., our CVO started having clutch issues. We called from Bishop and Clint told us to bring it in so it could be checked out. We pulled up to the dealer about an hour and 10 minutes before closing and they clearly had several events happening. Clint has the bike taken right in and clutch was fixed and we were out by closing time. We were able to enjoy the rest of our time for the next few days riding with our friends. Very poor customer service in the service department. I bought a battery from them just over a year ago. 6 months in the battery was dead. I've always kept it on a battery trickle charger. Took it in and they said it was fine. Fast forward 7 months to today, battery did the same thing. Bike has been on battery trickle charger. So, I had ordered alloy rims and new tires for my Moto Guzzi. The rims showed up on time - but the tires were a day late, and there were no motorcycle service places open on Sunday except for Battle Born. Despite my not owning a Harley, and not buying rims, tires, or any other parts from their dealership, they mounted and balanced my tires in about an hour for a straight labor charge. I use this bike to commute 600 miles a week, and I save more in gas in one week over the cost of using my car than the labor cost of having my wheels mounted. Plus, you know, I get to ride my motorcycle to work. Thanks, guys, I really appreciate the help. read more

Bought a 2021 street glide from them and it came with the dirt bike style shifter that I didn't like, so I bought the shifter peg from them and they installed it. The bike has 1000miles on it. Few days ago I made a trip to Sonora California half way the shifter flew off and the rest of the trip I had to shift like I was riding my dirt bike ( pain in the ass) anyway when I returned from my trip I called the service manager to let him know what happened he got all defensive and told me that I'm responsible for not checking the loose parts on my bike he was very rude and unfriendly! Then he handed me a shifter told me to put it on myself!! I couldn't believe it. I would have been happy if I had heard ( sorry man sometimes shit happens regardless of whether you do your best or not) that's all would have been plenty good for me. But no he is very ignorant ( BTW ignorant is not a cussing word) is someone who ignores the facts. I think Attitude at any job is 50% of qualifications and this yoyo has a bad one. I'm a 70 year old man , master auto technician and German car certified, had a biz for 35 years in cartoon city that I love and lived 42 years, I'm capable of doing the work on my own bike but I don't cuz I leave it to pros to do it for me, same principle when I have a bad tooth I don't go to my tool box to look for a vice grip!! I wanted to give a 5 Star Rating for the excellent service and professionalism which was extended to me and my wife on our 9 year anniversary. Cory Aparicio within the Rental department was awesome to work with. I was so pleased and the experience was awesome! We wanted to ride around Lake Tahoe for a day, making no plans prior to our trip. In October, it's the off season for Harley Rentals and basically all the bikes are put away, Cory made is happen for us, got us a beautiful bike and riding around the Lake was by far the highlight of our Trip. One of the worst service experiences of my life. I have been lied to repeatedly and I was told a week ago the bike would be done in a couple of days. They have had the bike over a month now and all I brought it in for originality was a flat tire which they had in stock. Don't get your bike serviced here you will never get it back... July 4, 2020 I was really wanting to change my review to reflect a better rating because they genuinely seemed to try and fix the problems I was having but still the communication was very lacking and when I finally did pick up my bike after a month and a half for the 3rd time and rode it home it started shaking and making a clicking noise and low and behold whoever worked in it didn't tighten the drive belt.
