The first thing on the work order said: Get the bike running. Did i pick up my bike running? NO! I had to pay for a bike i received back with parts hanging off it. The wiring was undone and complete mess. I had to take my bike to another shop. They charged me for actually fixing the bike and getting it running. I was billed for work they didn't do. You cant bill people for wishful thinking. You can only bill for the actual work performed. read more

Not good option for older road bikes, especially over 20 years old. They charge double shop rate. Took 4.5 hours at 200/hour to change oil and filter, replace both tires, flush hydraulic fluids, check battery and gear oil and do safety check ride. I have had a great experience dealing with Testa. I am a senior the last new motorcycle I had was a 1973 Maico 250 at the time nearly a works bike. Recently at age 74 I wanted to get back on a bike not as a racer but a putter. I purchased a 2004 wr 450 f that I have now transitioned to a dual sport bike. Loved making all of the upgrades necessary. I started with Testa changing tires to dual sport. From the moment I walked into Testa their whole staff was welcoming, knowledgeable and just northern Nevada friendly. Today Kai I hope this isn't the wrong spelling inspected my bike for all of necessary equipment modifications to change title from off-road to trail and road bike. The inspection was done quickly and very professionally making sure every I was dotted and every t crossed. Before I knew It I was headed down the road to yerington dmv where everything was checked out now my bike is titled as a dual sport bike. Hauled both our quads down here (down meaning south out of Carson City to Minden). We were getting new tires on both of them, and Wifey's needed some carb work. Oh, and my 4wd switch went out, meaning NO 4wd. GASP! These guys are professional. They know their quads, dirt bikes, and small engines. It took a bit over a week to get them back, mainly because Arctic Cat (our quad manufacturer) is slow to ship out parts, and mine needed the 4wd switch from them. We got a good deal on 8 new tires (ITP MudLites), but even at that, we could outfit our cars for less! It's like buying motorcycle tires or anything 'boat'. Break out your wallet... But nonetheless, these guys do a fabulous job. We'd been looking for someplace to take our quads for work, and we've found it here. We'll be back. read more

Took them 3 times to rebuild my forks properly. They cross threaded every nut and bolt on my forks. Then called the cops on me saying I threw my door into a mechanics door out of revenge. I sent it to my insurance and they said the paint never matched neither did the measurements on my door. Looks like his gf hit a fire hydrant and blamed it on me. When the owner tried apologizing for the fork seal mistake, he told me my bike was being used to train a new employee. I said my bike isn't a training tool. He made me buy new fork seals anyway. Only thing I'd ever get here is oil and you can't even do that without JB talking your ear off for an hour even though there is a mile long line behind you. I would never return to this shop. I've seen bikes on line that I would have bought it if wasn't posted out from of Testa. read more

So I called late friday afternoon with what I thought was a bad brake line. There was fluid dripping onto the ground. I asked if I could come in saturday at open time. I was told the could at least diagnose the problem but couldn't guarantee a fix that would work with our schedule. We are on s cross country trip to New York. We arrived at 9:30, they assessed that it was not a brake line but a bad fork seal. Not sure if they had the part, the searched the shop and found 1, one pack of new seals that would work on our 2005 GW1800. The quickly took it in and began work. The also suggested new brake pads as the fork oil had saturated the pads. Again, not sure if they had pads as "we don't stock many GW parts as the don't break down often" they found 2 pads at the very back of the over 100 that they stock for everything else not GW. Long story short, we are very happy with the wonderful service we received. If 10 stars were possible I would have given ten. Great group of guys, thanks TESTA. read more

Got my Yamaha quad picked up at my home and returned for its annual maintenance - only $25 for the pick-up and delivery. Then on Sunday afternoon, after a few days, noticed a dripping fuel valve and texted a video to Rob the owner. He texted back that he would be over in 30 minutes with the part! He showed up, fixed it, and showed me how the old rubber gasket had failed. "How much do I owe you?" Nothing, just want happy customers. Without having to beg 'em they realized the pickle we were in and dropped everything they were doing to install a tire. I bought a motorcycle (2 stroke) on consignment from Testa for my son last week. He took it out riding the next day and the back breaks kept locking up. I took the bike back to Testa thinking that something went wrong with the bike. Not only did Rob, the Owner, personally help fix the very simple adjustment ( the back brake peddle had been set for the previous owner), he also instructed the boy's on what to look for if this situation happened again and how to fix it. We took my 1997 Kawasaki 1500 Vulcan Classic in to Testa's since it hadn't been ridden for a few years and wasn't running good prior to that. We were impressed with the turn around time. Dropped off on Saturday and was ready to be picked up on Weds. afternoon. Great turn around time and price for work done was very fair. Bike runs like new now.
