T S L is among the very best retailers and staff I have encountered in a lifetime. That is @ 50 years of action sports immersion, on both sides of the counter. T S L has it all, all the gear, all seasons knowledgeable, ski shop tunes and repairs, and demonstrates passion and care about it all, especially dialed into consistent and engaging Customer Service. That's a WOW... and why I actually look forward, rather make a point to patronize the store when I visit South Lake Tahoe. Scheels is the mother of all sporting good stores. They seriously have everything. Even a cafe!…read more I wandered around for over an hour in a stupor. They have sporting goods, an aquarium, a Ferris wheel, animatronic presidents, stuffed animals and more! I think there's something for just about everyone at this store. Even a small grocery section with things like coffee and snacks! I stopped at the cafe and ordered a salad for $10.00. It was fresh, crisp, and had a bunch of bright red strawberries on top. Afterward, I bought some beef sticks, for only $1.00 each. What a deal. I'm looking forward to my next visit.

Whenever looking at something a staff member usually will come up and ask if I have any questions or if I need assistance. Theirs prices just a little higher but their quality is very good and if you should have any problems you definitely can bring it back. I love coming here.

It's absolutely what I'd call a one stop shop but I did notice that a lot of their smaller sizes, at least within the women's items, were not in stock. Mind you I did go right after Christmas so possibly that's the reason but I did end up getting a phenomenal cow print faux fur jacket that stretches from shoulders to toes and my friend also got one too. It was listed at a fantastic sale price and there was no question once I found out it was discounted that we both HAD to have it-- and now that it's home with me, I absolutely don't regret it and cannot wait to wear it! While there, I was also looking at a really great distressed cowboy hat, but my friend decided she had to have it as well so as there was only one left, it was absolutely going to be for her!! :)

I needed a 2.5 barbell plate and pulled it off the rack with a sign clearly advertising $5.99. The plate does not have bar code on it. I bring it to the cashier (Keoni, according to the sales slip), and she looks it up in the computer and rings it at $48.99. I advise that the sign shows $5.99. She calls for assistant Manager, who takes the plate and I show her the sign. She tells me that she must "call corporate" to check price. I again point to the very clear sign showing 5.99. She disappears into an office with weight plate. Now, 2 other people are in front of me. While waiting, I see that on the computer screen is a TWENTY FIVE pound plate with the price showing $48.99. I advise Keoni that my plate is 2.5 pounds and she entered the wrong product in her look up. She does not apologize and I suggest that she go tell the asst manager of her error. She does not. Finally, a nice young man comes over to the front registers and I show him Keoni's error. She never admits she made a mistake. I show her on the plate where is clearly is stamped thart this is a 2.5 pound plate...and advise her that she did not enter the correct weight of the plate. She tells me to "quit whinning"..! Finally, the young man gets her to ring the item up at the correct price of 5.99 Several customer service failures: Keoni: entered the wrong item in the computer never admitted her error to the assistant manager Told me to "shop whinning" Never apologized to me Ass't Manager Knowing that Keoni is new, never verified that Keoni had entered the correct item in the look up Never looked up the item herself As we both were looking at the very clear sign showing the price, she should of "honored" the price show on the sign Went into the office and I never saw her again I want to talk (no voice mail) to the store manager...Please have him call me

You can be first in line when the lifts open! There were several families there, but service was fast and efficient, and we were on our way in no time. The equipment was in decent shape. They have full Rossi rental packages. The boots were comfortable if not a little basic. The skis were in good condition. Everything looked fairly new. The poles were a little cheap, but who cares--they're just sticks right? We also got a demo package. Nicer Rossi boots plus Atomic skis. The previous week I tried the premium Rossi skis somewhere else, but these Atomics were hot. After I returned them, he offered to sell me a new pair that were on sale. Not this time, but I was tempted. The staff was friendly and knowledgable, without being overbearing or know it all. The were fast too. They sped us through our paperwork, we paid up front, and returned our stuff by 5:30 day of. Great experience overall!

We are very loyal customers. Quality/Quantity - Here for the Wax and Watch event DIG. My first time and what an amazing event. Fundraising for so many nonprofits, see pictures. Also sponsored by Fifty Fifty Brewing Co; I had a few too many beers, too good of a time. I also found out about Fifty's Grand opening at RPM, which we also supported and attended the next day, see other Yelp Review. Non alcoholic drinks were also available. Too lazy to have brought our equipment for the wax. Plus Mt Rose gives us each 4 free waxes that I rarely use up. Raffle - We did NOT win. Atmosphere - Clean and organized location. Love the NV art on the side of the building/in the parking lot. Cool! See pictures. Open 7 days a week from 10am to 7pm and on Sundays from 10am to 6pm. Small parking lot, but because we came in off peak (weird) hours, it is rarely an issue for us. And today we got lucky as the lot was full but a car gave us his space. Service - The team is so welcoming and friendly. This is the #1 reason we are loyal customers. Events available - See website. Again, my first but NOT last time that I will attend an event.
