The shop is great, but this review is specifically for my recent experience with Vega in the…read moresnowboard section... I rolled into Tahoe with two brand new pairs of Burton Step On boots... two different sizes. I bought them online sight unseen. Kind of a last minute trip. So, I went to Tahoe Sports Ltd. and asked the guy in the snowboard section if he could help me get them sorted even though I hadn't purchased them - he said no problem! I spent about an hour with Vega trying them on, tweaking them with inserts, talking through how they felt, using a toe box during the heating process, etc. It was a great experience! They charged me for the inserts and a nominal fee for the fitting help. I rode them all that afternoon and all day the following day - they were perfect! And, I hope he sees this review so he knows that :-) Just as he said, when I was riding them, the toe box was fine, and everything was comfortable. Because the bindings are essentially built into the boot (I had the Pro Shot X's), they are super snug and so when I wasn't riding on breaks, I would loosen the BOAs and take a break. But anyway, the experience with Vegas was perfect. If you have trouble with your snowboard boots, or want new ones, you should definitely go see Vega in the board shop... even if you bought your boots somewhere else... they literally do not care at all about that part at all... they just want to make people comfortable in their boots! Thanks Vega and your colleague (I didn't catch his name) - you guys were awesome Trevor

This was hard to give a one star but they absolutely deserved it…read more I have purchased gear here a while ago when I was a ski patroller. The service during that interaction was excellent and I still love my fitted boots. I came in today because I am due for a new pair of boots and know this store has an excellent selection. I was unable to really take a look at any new boots because the management was conducting a job interview in the boot fitting area. Not sure that is the place for an interview bit that was not even the bad part if you can believe that. While looking at some boots on sale a worker identifying himself as a boot professional and fitter walked up. I told him I had purchased boots here before and loved them. I started to talk about the boots when he interrupted me and stated he will not talk to me about boots (yep I was thinking the same thing you are right now WTF!). He then said he had to look at my foot first or he had no recommendation. Ok I understand that but you can still let me know what the new boots are different pricing etc. He absolutely refused to discuss any boots and then said he has to charge me to look at my foot. There is no way I would let him do anything for me if he was the ski boot foot guru of the world. I had $1000 ready to spend on a boot. Instead I walked out never to return to Sports LTD. In case you are wondering it was an older gentleman in his 60's with a grey beard and no name tag. I will find another boot fitter.

I don't usually write an update so soon, but after today's (3/12/26) amazing event, I just had to!!…read moreI am sure you can tell from my excess photos, we shop here too often... We are very loyal customers. Quality/Quantity - Here for the Wax and Watch event DIG. My first time and what an amazing event. Fundraising for so many nonprofits, see pictures. Also sponsored by Fifty Fifty Brewing Co; I had a few too many beers, too good of a time. I also found out about Fifty's Grand opening at RPM, which we also supported and attended the next day, see other Yelp Review. Non alcoholic drinks were also available. Too lazy to have brought our equipment for the wax. Plus Mt Rose gives us each 4 free waxes that I rarely use up. Raffle - We did NOT win. Atmosphere - Clean and organized location. Love the NV art on the side of the building/in the parking lot. Cool! See pictures. Open 7 days a week from 10am to 7pm and on Sundays from 10am to 6pm. Small parking lot, but because we came in off peak (weird) hours, it is rarely an issue for us. And today we got lucky as the lot was full but a car gave us his space. Service - The team is so welcoming and friendly. This is the #1 reason we are loyal customers. Events available - See website. Again, my first but NOT last time that I will attend an event. We will probably come back Sunday for the Mt Rose Passholder Spring Sale. Price - Expensive, but worth the quality, service, and culture. Owner Comment - Congrats on your success since 1973. And thank you for also giving 1% to not-for-profit workers "to defend the earth." And having programs that raise awareness of environmental and social issues. My favorite program is Worn Wear. You can either sell Patagonia your used clothes or trade them in so they can fix it. I believe that reusing is better than recycling. Furthermore, they give you credit ranging from $15 to $150.

Coming from Ventura, CA, I have fond memories of the Patagonia store there - where it all began. Love the outdoorsy style. This shop, downtown, was busy on a Saturday. Helpful staff.

Great service, i bought a shock collar for my dog and the lady who helped me was really helpful…read more I purchased the Garmin collar which was on sale for $129.99. Got it home, charged it and tested it on my dog and it wasn't enough to cause my dog to flinch. I tried it on myself and it was administering a shock, but my dog literally winked at me every time i zapped him. I took it back that day and they gave me a full refund. Thanks guys, i would shop here and suggest this place to others.

I wanted to sell a small weapon and I was told that sportsman warehouse Carson City would buy…read morecertain guns. I called them. I spoke with Greg who told me that my gun qualify and to bring it in. If I had sold it privately, I would have to go with the buyer for registered gun dealer, and pay for the transfer fee. But I figured out how much I would get for a private sale less fees on background check it would be much better for me to deal with sportsman's warehouse. When I arrived, Greg was there he checked out a gun which was practically brand new and had all the original paperwork, he gave me a top line price, which was more than what I expected, and the processor was very quick. Paul H And Chris took care of all the paperwork and within about 35 minutes I was out the door with cash in hand. I was advised if I had done a trade-in they would've been able to give me more money but quite frankly I'm very happy with what they offered. Sportsman's warehouse has a huge inventory of every kind of weapons and ammunition you could ever imagine. They are all so knowledgeable. They know their stuff. This store has everything from weapons to clothing to camping goods hunting goods even down to the best snacks you can imagine. While I'm at it, Debbie, who I believe is the software supervisor and handles all the clothes and shoes and things like that is a wonderful customer service person. The minute you walk in the door someone says hello, and they are extremely helpful. I highly recommend them.
