Dan has been around guns for decades, knows his stuff and is friendly. One nitpick is he's the only guy on staff, so gun work done inside 48 hours is not going to be reality. You'll drive a little out of the way to get to him, as he works from a 15 by 30 foot bungalow by his home, way off the beaten path. This also keeps his overhead very very low, and that is good for the customer bottom line. He's a reloading buff and is quite knowledgeable in that area. As for firearms sales realize you are going to seeing mostly vintage old west guns; revolvers, duck shotguns, and deer rifles. Not a bad thing; just an observation. The guns I've given him to work on are more tactical in nature, but no problems diagnosing issues and putting back together. Ammo prices seem to be quite reasonable here, though selection depends on what he gets into his shop, which is a smattering of various calibers. Overall, I recommend Dan highly and trust his work over the shops along the main drag that absolutely hammer you on pricing. read more

He is a good source for reloading information. Have had him work on an older Remington 742 deluxe that would not load correctly. He fixed it at a very reasonable cost. It now has a smooth trigger and smooth loading. I will continue to use his services. read more

Their website say's they open at 8:30am. I called at 10:00am. to see if they had ammunition I needed. Man answers phone saying I'am not open until 11:30. Gave caustic response about answering the phone before 11:30. Change open time on website if you do not want to answer your business phone as stated on site. ps: he did finally answer my question. Great local gun store. Dan knows his stuff. He's helped me with everything from stock length to reloading. He usually has ammo at fair prices unlike other stores who jack up the prices to rip you off. He does gunsmithing as well. Great guy great store! read more
