My husband was sick for 18 months so I didn't really drive my car the way I should and we all know if you leave a car sitting in a garage especially a high-performance car things happen. I knew there was a problem with the starter and there was a high-pitched sound coming from under the hood. My son is a mechanic and told me it was the serpentine belt and that I surely needed a new starter, but the car needed to be checked out. so based on a dear friend, who has many collectible cars, I called Robbie at Shelton racing and fabrication and talk to him about my problem. He was so nice and assured me that they would check my car out so that I could feel confident driving it. when the tow truck and I arrived, I was greeted by Ryan who is the mechanic and fabricator and son of one of the original owners with Robbie. I told him I wanted to be able to drive my car without worrying about it since my husband was gone, and I wasn't that familiar with being a mechanic on my own. he explained to me the car before me was taking a little bit longer, but that he would get to my car as soon as possible, which was not a problem and a few days later, today I got a call that my beautiful Corvette was ready. I really didn't have any idea when I dropped the car off how much it would cost, but in my mind, I was thinking maybe $1000 for all the things that had to be done and checked. when I told Ryan, I would have to find someone to bring me there to pick up the car he said no problem. I will come and get you and within 15 minutes. I was in his truck and we were heading back to the shop. Ryan showed me the old parts explained what he did in detail and presented me with a bill for $700 which was amazing. I have a couple of small leaks, but he explained to me that the seals get hard when their car isn't driven and that typically once I drive it and they get hot, they they will soften up and the leak will stop. he said not to worry about it at this point drive it and see how it goes, and I asked him how much it would be if they had to fix those leaks, and he told me what it would be, but not even to think about it right now because it's not an issue. show Shelton racing and fabrication was highly recommended to me by a very dear friend who has several collectible cars so if they told me they needed to do more extensive work for the leaks, I would have done it. I know many other shops would probably see a woman without a lot of experience figure they could make a bunch of money, but not Ryan, he told me exactly what was going on and words can't express how grateful I am that he didn't try to take advantage of me. this summer, I will take my husband's Corvette in for a new water pump and a check up, and I feel very confident that they will give me the same wonderful reasonable service that I got this time. thank you, Robbie And Ryan, you made this experience less stressful, and I certainly appreciate your kindness

A few days ago, my mother took chip off to wash her hands, and it fell into the garbage disposal. Unknown to my mother, who turned on the disposal and whose heart dropped the minute she heard the awful noise only metal against blades makes. Retrieving the ring proved her fears right. Mangled and bent, the ring was bad...but it still had its diamond in place!! Therefore my sister took to Yelp in order to find a jeweler. The good reviews here led the family to Carson Tahoe Jewelry. My sister went in and was greeted by Mitch who was busy at work fixing other jewelry. She told them the story of the ring and Mitch stopped what he was doing and says..."Let's do this now!" She handed him the ring and legitimately 5 min later it looked as if the ring had never even fell into the disposal...aka the place where jewelry seldom returns. Family. Due to the business's failure to complete the agreed-upon services and return my property, I have filed a Code Enforcement complaint with the Carson City Community Development Department against the licensed business. On May 29, 2026, I entrusted my ring to the business for a limited, agreed-upon modification and provided reference photos of the requested design. The agreed-upon work was limited to: * Removing the center diamond. * Setting the center diamond into a plain solid white gold band. * Soldering the original ring together so the remaining side diamonds formed a continuous band, with no other modifications. The estimated completion time was two weeks. After repeated delays, missed deadlines, and lack of communication, I requested that Mrs. Kynett stop the work and return my ring in its original condition. On July 9, 2026, Mrs. Kynett agreed, assured me the ring had been restored to its original condition, and repeatedly promised to return my property. Despite these assurances, the ring was never returned, and the promised return date continued to be pushed back week after week. Finally, on July 26, 2026, Mrs. Kynett scheduled a meeting to return my ring but failed to appear. She later stated she would personally deliver it to me that evening but failed to do so. As of the date of this review, despite numerous requests and repeated assurances, my property has still not been returned. I am documenting and sharing these events so that other consumers can make informed decisions before entrusting this business with their personal property. ** I have 2 police reports filed against them and on July 28th, My property was partially returned in damaged condition, not all diamonds that the ring once held were given back and what was once a ring they turned into scraps of metal balls.
