They are patient and really go out of their way to make sure you're comfortable and that you understand safety and what you're doing and make everything really easy. When you get there you complete your registration and rent a lane. Then you can either use your own firearm, eye and ear protection, and ammunition or you can rent or purchase everything. You can rent handguns and various semi-auto rifles for a flat rate plus ammunition, or you can rent automatics or belt fed machine guns by buying magazines or belts, no flat rental rate required. It can all add up pretty quickly but overall the rates and prices are reasonable. I had a great time, my favorite was firing the Thompson submachine gun on full auto, and will definitely be back for the M1!

She has always been afraid of guns and came out of this range wanting to learn more! Alex and the staff were very helpful on recommending a beginner gun and how to reload. They were very patient on answering any questions and super informative on how a gun works. We started off with a rifle and had such a blast that we purposely made a detour and came back the next day to shoot a glock. I've been to other ranges before, but this was the best range to bring a beginner to. This is now my favorite place to go to whenever I'm in Reno. It was worth driving from San Francisco to this!

The shooting range is his private property, and it feels extremely free and relaxing here. If you want to have an excellent shooting experience rather than just simply firing a gun, then choosing Josh will definitely be a great option.

I was pretty nervous about handling and shooting the firearms at first, but the staff there ensured safety by going over their rules and procedures. After being taught how to properly handle the guns, we started shooting different handguns at the paper targets. After feeling comfortable and confident with those, we moved on to using some bigger assault rifles and even got to try out their gatlan gun. When looking for a shooting range in the Reno area, this is exactly what I was hoping for. The outdoor experience is was nicer and more fun in my opinion. The staff here was great at knowing when to help out and when to give you space and let you figure things out on your own. I would 100% recommend this place and will be coming back here the next time i'm in Reno. I would suggest this as one of the safest shooting ranges and perfect for beginners. Having the open desert behind most shots the depth perception can be slightly challenging (but this is where we hunt so the practice is spot on). Man I wish they had some space heaters hanging overhead in their outdoor ranges. My hands! LOL The service is straight forward. From stopping in, signing a waiver, picking up some rental items like ear or eye protection--it's all tremendously affordable and under $20. This alone offers a tremendous value. In terms of a selection per se, you can sign up for a membership which ranges from $30-$40 a month depending on the plan or you can go for a single day visit. Adults about $15. From there it's all about the training. From as little as 3 yards to as much as 2000, go for it. Pistols, shotguns, ARs, bring it. They also have some firearms you can rent while you're there at an affordable price (but there's a range fee required when using their firearms). It's a bit of a journey out to head out to Pyramid Way where they're located, but you should consider the journey and training there if you're serious about firearm training and understanding these tools in a wonderful outdoor setting that puts you in the mentality of growing your skill and proficiency. Shout out to Dean who was our Range Safety Officer that day. He was courteous, professional and that's what you want when working with firearms. Check them out!
