Buyer beware/ service beware Terrible company! Beware of this scam company! Long story short, I bought my truck brand new from them in 2020, it's 2024 and I've had my vehicle serviced every 5k-7k mileage. They charged me for the "works" and I paid it everything, come to find out they haven't been rotating my tires and now the fronts are wore way more than the rears! I have all service paper work in my file cabinet and they didn't tell me they didn't rotate my tires, still charged me for it, and in the back of the paper work in small letters they put, Did not rotate tires multiple times and no one said anything! I bought these tires new from them in 2022-2023, and an alignment! On another note they don't follow Ford protocol on service! Had them service the transfer case and didn't replace seal on drain plug and left all the residue on the transfer case! Also they did their multiple point inspection on my vehicle and decided to rip off the remaining windshield wiper, which still worked and was only tore about 6" at the time of drop off, just trying to get me to purchase their outrageously priced windshield wipers! What a great service to offer! My husband recently died unexpectedly and he was the one who usually took care of our cars. I was relieved to find this service where they actually come to your home. Gavin was the mechanic who came and he was respectful, friendly and efficient. He carefully explained his findings for both cars and answered my questions since this is all new too me. Another chapter in why dealerships suck. All you have to do to see why American auto dealerships are fast becoming obsolete is try to do business with one. Whether it is buying or leasing a new car, or using the service department, you need not look any further if you want to find a business completely designed to try to fleece as much money out of their customers as an American car dealership is. SanTan Ford is sadly no different. Took my Ford in for repairs. Eric was super nice, in fact everyone at the delearship was outstanding. Super friendly, super courteous, efficient. My problem is this. I had two things that needed fixed. If I had to guess, I would estimate the tech worked on my vehicle for maybe 1 hour, 2 max. Eric the service advisor did everything he was supposed to, he told me $155 to diagnose EACH problem. The repair required no parts at all. My bill to repair the 2 issues was $310.00. Reminds me of the scene from Vacation, when Clark is getting the family truckster fixed and asks what is this going to cost? And the reply is "How much you got?" Again, the price was quoted up front, and I could have turned around and left. Eric was spot on. Well this place went to shit! I've been doing business here since 2012, buying vehicles and sending family and friends in to purchase their vehicles here also. This won't be the case anymore. Apparently they have decided to drop customer service and instead prefer an aggressive approach and if you don't accept their offer, they flip the script and loose their minds. I said I didn't feel they tried very hard to make a deal, especially for a customer that has continued a relationship for so long and in truth saying I felt the offer was bullshit. So apparently that merits their desk manager named Brian Huglin to come busting out the doors as I was leaving acting like a thug trying to intimidate me getting in my face with his arms crossed asking if I have a problem. Real tough guy behavior from someone who was so nervous he was shaking. Bet he spends time every day practicing in the mirror. I had been saying goodbye to my salesman Larry Parker, the only one there who treated me like a person, when this punk tries his thug tactics. I kept my composure asking Larry if this guy is for real and Brian says you bet I'm real, standing here in front of you. I told him that I was gonna walk away before something happens that we both regret. What this clown was trying to accomplish, I will never know. But what he did accomplish was loosing a longtime customer and gaining all the wrong type of attention. Great job Brian!!! Your boss should be so proud of you. I called the dealership after this and asked for the GM or owner to call me and they apparently don't care and are obviously ok with the gestapo tactics as they haven't reached out. Zero stars. Reached to online sales team after seeing a vehicle on a third party advertisement. I made an appointment to go see it In person with Alejandro/Alex and again a second time for test drive with my husband, the second appointment to meet with Alex he was unresponsive to my confirmation earlier in the day and just prior to the appointment time sent a text saying he was passing me to his sales partner who would be able to help me in his absence due to needing to deliver a car to someone else during my appointment time. My husband and I didn't see the message until we arrived and were greeted by his colleague who said he had no information on the car but was just asked to have us test drive it. He couldn't answer any questions and ultimately I decided I wouldn't be moving forward with the sale until Alex were able to provide answers to the questions I had asked him the day prior. I messaged and called Alex/Alejandro the following day letting him know I was motivated to buy the car and needed him to get hs more information regarding the sale. He told me he'd have it to me within a couple hours and then never followed up or responded, to my text later that day. It wasn't until I called the dealership multiple times to be transferred to his direct line until he answered. He then said he hadn't heard back from his sales manager and would follow-up... it was late in the day at this point and I didn't receive the sales write up until the following day. He refused to negotiate after giving me the online advertised price which was lower than the sticker price ..I'm not an idiot but he sure treated me like one. He incessantly interrupted me, his speech was rushed and tone was irritated for each question or push I made on their ridiculously inflated dealer add ons. At one point I had to stop him to let him know he kept interrupting and I would like to finish my sentences, he immediately told me "well we're lightyears away from each other on price so good luck on your vehicle search" and Hung up on! I couldn't believe it... I waited over a month to write this review as I believe it's important to reflect and allow the opportunity for a business to make it right or own their mistake- yet when I received a follow up text about my appointments we made from his sales manager, who I'm sure was just hoping I was still in the market to purchase a vehicle, I was left on read when I told them about my Terrible experience. The worst car shopping experience I've ever had. I popped in to check out the new trucks and went on a quick test drive. I was about to leave and the salesman asked me if I would just wait for him to bring me his business card. I said ok. I waited in my truck for about ten minutes which in thought was strange. He returned not with his business card but with the rudest car sales manager named Cameron Miller. He walked straight up to my window without smiling or introducing himself he said "So you're just going to come in and joy ride our truck and not buy one?" I said I liked the truck but I'd like to have my wife see it also. He said "What's not to like" very rudely. This guy needs to go to management school and learn how to talk to customers. Everything you hate about a car shopping experience in one spot. I popped in on a weekday to look at a Maverick. There was a group of maybe 8 sales people lurking by the customer spots waiting to swarm. The one I talked to didn't know their inventory. She said they didn't have any of the trim level I was looking for in stock even though the website said they had several. She asked for my price range and then proceeded to show me models $10k over what I told her. When I told her I wasn't buying today and was just starting to shop, her attitude became very poor. I came in the middle of a weekday so as to not waste anyone's time, but was treated as if I was anyway. If I do decide to buy the Ford, I'll drive somewhere else. read more

This was one of the stranger experience for a dealership when it came to the sales department and that's the main reason we chose not to purchase a new truck from this location. First of all there selection was next to none when it came to what our expectations were for the F250. Second an older gentlemen who worked in the sales department who was showing us different trucks couldn't seem to answer any questions we had when it came to incentives or trade in yet he told us that he had been selling cars for over 40 years? After negotiating for a couple days with Eli and Roberto at the dealership for a Ford F150 lightening I was told that we were able to get the payment and price that I wanted. I drove to the dealership and sat in the lobby for over an hour before deciding to leave. To be told the following day that the payment would be substantially higher than what was promised. The sales reps acknowledged the oversight due to learning the new incentive being offered and system issues but I wouldn't feel comfortable working with a company that feels like they use bait and switch tactics. My final straw was when Eli required me to leave a positive review in order to receive the deal that was offered, which was still 50/month higher than what brought me into that dealership under false pretenses. read more

BAIT & SWITCH!! John Dye is your typical, sleazy conman, car salesman. San Tan listed a 2018 F-150 King Ranch on Autotrader and the Santan website for $49,987. When I got the deal paperwork, John Dye added $2,293 to the vehicle price. When I questioned this added charge, he told me it was added items on the vehicle that he cannot remove...scam stuff like VIN window etching, etc. When asked how he could list one price for the vehicle and then add to the price for items already on the vehicle, that he says can't be removed, he couldn't give me a straight answer. This is a classic bait and switch scam. Advertise a good price with no intention of selling the vehicle at that price. It's sleazy and it's illegal. When I sent him the Arizona Consumer Protection Law, they quickly changed the price of the vehicle to reflect the "real" price instead of their bogus "sale" price. I'm a retired police detective, having worked years in both homicide and fraud / financial crimes. I've seen my share of scammers and John Dye is a classic conman. After more than a dozen hours on the phone between Santan Ford and Ford, Santan has refused to accept responsibility...they won't even concede to making a mistake...because it wasn't a mistake. Zero stars if possible. On 3/5/24 I called in to see if it was possible for a walk in service, and I was welcomed with open arms. I came in to change my driver side headlight bulb, and for a replacement door handle, easy peasy. I was promised that the service team would have this done in 3-4 days, which was perfect timing since I was out of town for a trip so we shook hands and turned in my keys. The 5th day rolls around, which is Sunday 3/10/24 and I never received any update or feedback about the status of my vehicle. It is now the 6th day, Monday 3/11/24 and I still had not received any notification about my vehicle. I called in and was told by Mike the manager who investigated the reason and found out that there was a delay but he let me know that I would receive my car the next day. The next day rolls around which is now Tuesday 3/12/24, and still I had no call, text or email update about my service. I had to pry and reach out, calling yet again with nobody picking up the phone, and so I had no choice but to leave a voicemail. I received no feedback whatsoever. It's the end of the day, I still heard nothing back at all and again I called to speak to Mike the manager, who I nicely addressed my concerns. I even apologized for my tone, my frustration, and instead of getting any sympathy, some sort of comfort or relief, I was told by Mike that he knows nothing of this situation and that he will have Jesus Diaz contact me. That is not what a customer wants to hear.. At this point I said to Mike that I'm willing to pay even the ridiculous service pricing because I urgently need my vehicle to commute to work. Now it's costing me even more to get to work! Not once was I offered to rectify their mistake, no discount, or any remedy as the paying customer. This was absolutely the most garbage customer service I have ever received in my life and how I'm supposed to accept this mistreatment, be under valued, and poorly treated as just another transaction. Update: It is now the 8th day, I was told by Mike that my car would be available Wednesday morning 3/13/24. I had left a text message the night before, requesting that my vehicle be delivered to me as part of your mobile service and consolation for the inconvenience since I never received a call from Jesus Diaz the night prior to address my concerns, but he was willing enough to text me with my out the door price of $876.60 on the service for a headlight bulb and a door handle. Then when I tried to reply back to the text, I was blocked from replying when I tried to leave messages out to the phone numbers (480) 237-2003 and (866) 540-6289. My message was: "Since I cannot have my vehicle until tomorrow morning, I will need it to be dropped off to me asap! Please schedule the delivery to my work address, and this is my personal cell phone number, feel free to contact as needed." Still, I did not receive a call to address my concerns or any reach outs except getting a text message at 12:59pm with the following: "Aaron, we want to let you know that your car is ready for pickup! Jesus. San Tan Ford" It wasn't until 5:15pm that I was able to be dropped off by my wife just to pick up my vehicle where I spoke to Mike Martin about my experience and thanked him for being a soundboard. I even apologized to the service clerk Olivia who helped me with the pickup transaction and how she had to hear my story. You would think after all this, I would receive a car wash or complimentary car detailing for keeping my car for 8 days! I know at least other dealerships where I owned previous cars, that it was the standard. Never was I apologized to even though I did. Not once was I given any consolation, discount, or remedy. It seems like at San Tan Ford, everyone couldn't care less and yet the slogan says "It's All About You"! I am so traumatized by this experience and I can't even look at Ford the same any more. Went in to look at a used 2023 Maverick (with a $32k window sticker price from the original sale), the sales puppets kept try to sell it with not only $3,600 of a dealership add-on scams of a Desert Pkg, Lo Jack, Nitrogen tire fill and other crap but a $5k market add-on also !!! Our 2018 F-150 required some repairs before our extended warranty expired. This is the first AZ service since moving from the PNW. Eric Thompson was our service advisor. He communicated often, keeping us in the loop while he submitted warranty coverage requests for our failing transmission and sunroof. All work was covered by the extended warranty that cost us 4K. Fully we received $19,850 in repairs, and San Tan performed flawlessly in their repairs, communication and Eric went to bat for us with the warranty company ensuring our out of pocket expenses were minimized. Brought my car in at 7am for recall notice. Called them at 1115 to see what was going on, and was on hold over 5 min. No one answered. At 1204 got text about needing battery replaced. Still no call from service. Called them again, no service person answered. Husband finally made 2 more calls and someone answered. Went to pick up car, no service person went over anything they did to my truck. Then in109 degrees, I had to hike across the parking lot to find my truck. No courtesy to at least bring it to the service doors for me. San Tan Ford never ceases to be the worst place to take your vehicle to!! Never never again!!! read more

I purchased a 2022 Ford Edge ST in November 2022. Five months later, San Tan Ford is denying that a repair that is going to cost in excess of $700 is under warranty. They say it is because it is due to impact damage; however, I have been the only driver of the vehicle since it's purchase, and there have been no accidents or other impacts (curbs, etc.). The vehicle was a "manager's special" used at promotional events with a few thousand miles before purchase, and any impact damage likely occurred before purchase. San Tan Ford does not stand behind its product. I will not purchase another vehicle here or from Ford, and I would recommend thinking twice before you do. EDIT: After a significant amount of effort and posting this review, San Tan Ford took the corrective action that they should have taken in the first place. I am pleased with the outcome but very disappointed in the process. Because I purchased the car about six months ago, I will still have it for some time now. I am cautiously optimistic that I will have better experiences moving forward. read more

I had to tow my expedition to the dealership from home because of a bad fuel pump that almost left my family and I stranded. They were attentive, quick to respond to my needs, and exceeded my expectations when it came to fixing the problem! Here is my experience with this place (Interestingly the owner Tim Hovic sits atop of the Ford Dealer Council) I guess he has some work to do with his team in basic customer service etiquette with a customer who buys a lot, and has a very high demand car on trade.. Okay, so a friend of mine traded in his 2021 Rapid Red Mustang Mach E GTPE for his previous ordered 2021 Mustang Mach E GT (non PE) I am very aware of what they gave him, which is fine and up to him.. So immediately as he posts the car is available at San Tan, I reach out with a BOT first, then Moe Faragallah responds with an email from San Tan. I indicated I have a 2021 Mustang Mach E GT (non PE) 2400 miles, that I may be interested in trading on that GTPE in stock.. I asked what the price was, what their OTD costs are, before I get a value on mine. I have spent millions on cars, and always do my due diligence first, so their time and my time is not wasted. Immediately he said it's sold. Hmm, I found that strange, so I reached out with another email and it's been available, and has pics now online, priced at $12k more than trade, before all their "options" and fees (BTW the options were previously installed by owner) anywho.. so I email back, asking why is he playing games? He was going to get back to me and never did, then makes up a story, that the car had to go for an inspection, but forgot he already lied to me and said it was sold. Do yourself a favor, and avoid these Stealership clowns. My experience outside the dealers are so much better, with no games from inexperienced, ignorant sales people.. This model is dying, Ford hates the markup games all these guys are doing, and so direct sales will be the future with service centers.. Time is running out! This is my second bad experience with working with this dealership. They are yet another dealer falsely advertising vehicles at msrp and the adding a markup for being a specialty vehicle. A Mustang Mach 1 is in no way a rare specialty vehicle. Also if that is truly what they believe the price show be listed a "call for pricing " and not msrp. They also add nearly $3k in protection items. Do your self a favor and find a dealer that does not use these tactics and have the real price up front. I went down there with the window sticker for a vehicle that I printed of their own website. After driving the vehicle and deciding that was the one, we sat down to get ready to pay. Next thing I know there's an additional $2,588. 00 tacked on for "extras" which includes LoJack, nitro in the tires (which I hate and would've taken out. They should have informed us, when I handed the printed out window sticker, that there were add ons before I ever drove the car. Walked out after 2 hours of having my time wasted. In November 2023 I purchased a brand new Ford F150. It was a hybrid model. The salesman lied to me from the beginning. He sold me a truck that did not have all the promised equipment. He told me to take the truck and we can fix it when I come back. It was approximately 9 o'clock at night and I had to be in Northern California the next day. When I returned from California the sales manager, the store manager were completely unresponsive. Since then, I've had several problems with the truck, including, two new transmissions. Keep in mind this is August and I am going on my third transmission. I've had several problems in addition to that, including my screen, going blank, the alarm binging from California to Arizona and several other misgivings. Keep in mind that all my contacts with the line staff have been very good. The supervisors and the management has become an issue. Approximately two months ago I decided to turn my truck in under the Lemon Law. It has been very painful and very time-consuming. my truck has been in the shop for over four months at different times but over four months. Today I was supposed to pick up the truck from the dealership and the service manager called me and told me that after they replaced my transmission, they took my truck for a test drive and a rock hit the window and broke it. Also, the lawyer ( Kaye Frye, Paralegal from Erskine Law ) sent word to my lawyer today "Hello, the offer stands, as in my previous email, please let me know if the customers accept, thank You." My experience with San Tan Ford unfortunately hasn't been the best. When I first purchased my truck, there was a chip out of the paint on the door handle. They said they would have it fixed and to bring it back in. Brought the truck back on a scheduled visit which was after the first 500 miles. There was already a recall which happens, but they also notified me that the break lines needs to be repaired since weee almost rubbed through. So they kept the truck until it was fixed. A few days, during the service I asked them while they had it to just repair the chip since would have it a few days. They said they would add it to the work order. Needless to say upon picking my truck up it wasn't done. Asked them why and they stated was a mix up between paperwork and they and it wasn't actually added to the work order. Told me I could drop it back off only on a Friday for a hat type of work since didn't get it done. Second experience was today. Noticed a plastic piece on the roof that runs down the side was broken where the screw holds it down. Since am at 39k miles brought it in to see if they can complete it under warranty. Since I Just received the email about extending the warranty. Seen 36k miles for the ford F250. So brought it straight down since barely over 3k miles to see if wools work with me on it. Was told no your out of the warranty and will be $700 plus labor and taxes. Said there is nothing that can be done since past the warranty and will be the $700. Said if I wanted it done to go inside and let the glass people know. Then walked away. Needless to say with this experience will be the last time I buy or send anyone to ford. Sad part is over the years I have purchased a ford ranger, mustang, two F-150s, Explorer, and the F250. So much for being a loyal customer to Ford all my life. A couple of weeks ago when I got in my Ford F150 truck at work to go home, I started my truck and the parking brake light came on and an error message displayed in the dash. The error message said "PARKING BREAK MALFUNCTION, SERVICE VEHICLE NOW" and then the parking brake engaged and locked on its own. I kept messing with the parking brake switch in my truck and finally got the brake to release however the error message and the parking light stayed on. I started driving my vehicle home with both lights on. During my drive home both the error message and the light finally went off. A week later while I was driving on the freeway to work, the parking break malfunction error message and the parking break light came back on, as I was driving my truck on the freeway. I braced myself for the emergency brakes to engage but they never did. Eric Thompson is the sales advisor and came across as having an attitude and immediately told me that my 2017 Ford F150 does not have a recall on the parking break malfunction based on the VIN. I told him that I looked it up online prior to making my appointment and this is why the appointment was made and this is why I am here. Bottom line is that Eric Thompson told me that there is no recall for my truck and that I will need to pay all expenses for a diagnostics and the repairs. Ford has a recall for the Parking break malfunction for ford 150's. In regards of my truck being on the recall list or not. My truck is experiencing the same malfunctions as the Ford F150s that are on the list. Ford needs to honor this and fix this major safety issue. Ford is clearly aware of this problem, Clearly! Great overall service but the dealer add-ons when purchasing a new car are just vailed up charges for nonsense stuff on your new ride. Just call it what it is. " I'm so glad I had my windows etched" or "it's wonderful having nitrogen in my tires." Said no one ever. Then added some nonsense GPS baloney. This dealership has ruined my love for Ford. They are poor at coordinating warranty work. Slow to get parts, and downright rude. My F350 has been in their shop for more than 100 days in 5 years. Mostly because they continuosly failed to fix it right the first time. I highly recommend you take your business somewhere else. Management and supervisors lack basic customer service skills. I would give this dealer 0 stars if I could. I ordered a Maverick about a year ago. I specifically stated that I only wanted certain accessories and nothing more. I just picked up truck with almost $4,000 in add ons I did not want. I got angry and told them I did not want any of them. They told me that is what I ordered. Everything was already installed. I should have walked out but I waited so long and paid cash for it. I later found out that every vehicle they sell has a LoJack installed. I am not sure why the $995 was not removed from the price since I did not want it. I would have walked out if I had known every vehicle has one installed. I was so upset that I went in a couple days later to complain, and all the manager would say is that it was discussed with me, but he could not produce my signature. I would have never agreed to pay for a tint job I could have gotten for a fraction of the cost. $2,000 for a desert package is a complete rip off. Tires filled with nitrogen? You know how car dealers get a bad rap? Well, my experience at San Tan Ford not only reinforced the bad rap, it makes me question the integrity of the dealership as a whole. TLDR: here's what happened on my recent visit, which was less than an hour ago. We arrived at the dealership to meet with the sales representative who we'd talked to on the phone and my wife spent time talking to yesterday. What brought us in was the internet advertised price, we had the ad with us. When we got there the price had jumped up by $4,240 from the advertised price. Now let's go back to the prior day. When my wife arrived at the dealership no one could find the vehicle. They searched the lot and discovered it was in detailing and she couldn't see it. She did "see it" on a rack in the service bay. The sales rep tried to explain that it was listed before it was Certified Pre-Owned and the dealership had done a bunch of things to warrant this new, higher price. I said, "what brought us in was the advertised price" and was told that price was before the dealership did "all the valuable add-ons". The add-ons included: Desert Protection Package GPS (subscription to track the vehicle) Window Etched Serial Numbers Window Tint Door Edge Guards Paint & Fabric Protection 7-year, 100,000 Mile Warranty After presenting the new best price and the reason why the price jumped, the manager came over to play the "what price has us shaking hands game", a game I simply won't play. I told him we didn't come here for the new price, we came for the advertised price and that the jump in price put it out of budget. They could have had this car sold today, but here's where our confidence went south and we walked out the door. I asked to see the work the dealer had done, the print out of ALL the above mentioned add-ons. I wanted to see the records since dealerships keep meticulous records of all work done to a vehicle. After a few minutes our rep came back with 6 sheets of papers from the service work done on the vehicle. They did a 172 point inspection, replaced 2 leaky shocks, covered under Ford's warranty since the vehicle only had 3,000 miles on it, but couldn't show ANY of the above mentioned add-ons, except for the GPS. I asked to see the work orders and he did everything in his power to keep them in his possession, I never did get a hold of them, instead he pointed and showed me all the valuable work that had been done. That work amounted to installing a useless GPS system and replacing 2-leaky shocks, that was it. The reality is, none of these items were done at San Tan Ford because they had ZERO documentation of the work. These were already a part of the vehicle. They wanted $4,240 more in their pocket, that's it. In my opinion San Tan Ford lacks integrity, they are dishonest, and play the games that give car dealers that reputation, a reputation San Tan Ford deserves.
