FORD - A Couple of weeks ago we purchased our celebrated retirement vehicle. We purchased a brand-new Ford Bronco for $70,000. One week ago, with only 1000+ miles on the vehicle it started making a terrible noise. We were told by the local service company that it had a bad Cam Phaser. In short this means taking the cab off the frame and removing the engine and going inside the engine for repairs. If they have to do this, it will no longer be a new vehicle. We barley have it off the sales lot. I have been trying for the last week to reach the level of Customer Relations Person that may be able to help us. For the last three calls we have been told they would get back to us in less than 24 hours. WE HAVE NOT HEARD FROM THEM!! I believe that Ford should be swapping this car out for another or returning our money. This is no longer the new vehicle that we purchased. A new vehicle comes out of the factory not being rebuilt in a local service shop. The Ford I used to know would have called and done all they could to make things right. I guess not anymore. My family has been Ford fans for many generations. If this doesn't get corrected, I will be the end of this allegiance. I can't tell you the amount of pain this is causing us. I should never have spent this amount of money for something that we now have no confidence. read more

we just got a new vehicle with Sanran Ford this past week and our experience was grea! We worked with Gilbert and he really took care of us. I had met him a few weeks prior to test drive some cars. Then as we kept going back and forth in deciding do we get a new car we finally decided to bite the bullet. Set an appo with Gilbert and he was so helpful in --walking in the deadbeat heat mind you--walking through each car on the lot that fit my needs. He didn't push me above my means we had expressed and actually honored our limits respectfully to the point where I kept drawing to a higher car and he honestly reminded me the reality of the costs out there that'd either keep us or put us over our budget. This guy even drove me car by car to check fo electric seats or manual seats bc I was so set on electric IF I could in our budget-- which at the end of day doesn't matte. He was thoroug through and through and honest to the en. We will work with him again in a heartbeat if and when we get a new car when the time come. The wait times for service are ridiculous. I was told on May 3rd that the next available service appointment would be May 30th. A 27 day wait for warranty service on a vehicle that was bought here! You have to be joking. This dealership is set up to maximize profits, especially on the Bronco. But there's no loyalty to the customer. None! read more

Totally rude and unreliable. I had called the day before and was told to come in the next morning for guaranteed same-day service. I show up the next morning and was told that no one had told me that as the "whole team knows" they're backed up for a diagnostic. I drove 25 minutes to get here and was immediately turned away as I can't leave my car here for 3-4 days for a simple diagnostic. I would have never wasted my time coming here had I known. They made a deal with us and then 2 1/2 weeks later they said the bank isn't approving it. I understand it happens but not after 2 1/2 weeks. This review is the for the service department. I will start off by saying this service department is probably the epitome of why people have negative feelings about dealership service departments. With that said, this place is a pile of shit. I originally had my car serviced there in 2019. I had a recall that needed taken care of and I figured I'd get the oil changed while I was at it. Since I have an Energi I don't bring the car in often so I opted for a package (filters, rotation, oil, inspection, etc.). A little of everything went wrong - most notably communication. Found something wrong and fixed it under warranty but offered no help while they kept my vehicle overnight. I had to buy a rental. After they did the package maintenance and fixed the transmission I was given the car back. Guess what, no recall was done. The primary reason I brought the vehicle in was ignored. When I finally did get the car back the inside was absolutely filthy with dirt and dust. I don't have time to sit around and wait for them to clean it as I have two small kids. Perfect. Now 2021 rolls around and since my car is an Energi I don't need to take it that often so I did the 45k mile service which is the same as above. Again. NO communication all day. End up calling late in the day and oh the car still hasnt been seen. So much for the QUICK lane. Eh? Again they want to keep the car overnight. Alright fine. No help with a courtesy vehicle so I buy a rental. Need a part painted. They quote me $40. When the bill is due it is $80. And again the car is returned ABSOLUTELY FILTHY. It is like they take the cabin filter out and smash it into everything inside because I now have a layer of dust on every horizontal surface in my car. So it is obvious that if you have this replace your cabin filter that your car will be returned absolutely filthy. To top all that off I dont know what they did but I can now do lane changes by simply taking my hands off the wheel. They fuba'd something on the tire rotation because now my alignment is absolutely fubar. I tried calling. Texting. Asking for a survey. Emailing on their webpage forum. Nothing. They genuinely do not care. At this point even if they call me back and want to "fix" their mistakes then I don't trust them. I'll be finding a new dealership. read more

NO MASKS or SOCIAL DISTANCING practices. Come on people, the pandemic is NOT over. This was a frightening place to visit last week. I had to halt an approaching car salesman and ask him to put on a mask before he got too close. He begrudgingly did so. As I looked around they weren't enforcing mask wearing with their customers or their staff. They gave me a very low-ball offer on my truck. I was able to get $9,000 more by taking it across the street to Carmax, which throughly practices mask wearing and social distancing. Ironically THIS company will likely be taking more bailouts for low sales during the pandemic. They seem to be the cause of their own problem as well as the bigger cause in irresponsibility as a public business. First time coming to San Tan Ford recently and have had good experience ever since. Sales team are good, Angel over there helped me a lot purchasing my new 2022 Maverick. Straight to the point, no beating around the bush. Inventory is tight right now but that isn't their problem, simply the world trying to catch up on material shortages. Service team is great and friendly. They helped me with an issue and put no stress on my shoulders. Their service schedule is tight, usually 2 weeks out but they do a good job at managing it. Beware. This dealership still uses the o'l "Bait & Switch" tactics for their sales. Went in to look at a 2020 Nissan Sentra that was Advertised for $21k. Talked them down to $20,500 on the phone the morning of. Drove and hour and a half to get there. I already had financing secure and just needed to walk in and sign papers. We get to the dealership, let them know we were there and they brought the paperwork stating the price of the car is $20,500 "agreed" and then they hit me with the mandatory dealer add ons that apparently are advertised in the fine print on the way bottom. Let's talk about these "add-ons" for a second because I don't mind paying for decent add-ons. 1st add on is the Desert Protection package. $1500. That will give you Window tint, Hydrogen in the tires, paint protection and door guards. Ok STOP. First of all, Tint was already on the vehicle to which he even told me they bought the vehicle with the tint already on. Hydrogen in the tires? Really? Discount tire will fill your tires with that at $2 bucks a tire. Door guards? $5 bucks on Amazon and the Paint Protection? They wax your car and claim they will fix any dings later on. Also told me they can't NOT charge for it because it's a spray they already put on the vehicle. Hahaha! STOP. So basically you are paying $1500 for window tint that was ALREADY ON THE VEHICLE. The next thing they charge you $599 for is the LoJack system install.. We still living in the 90's? Everyone knows you can hide an Apple car tag I your car and get the same thing for free without a subscription. Next thing they charge you for is the Etching at $599. If anyone knows about this product, it's a COMPLETE WASTE OF MONEY but if you still wanted to do it, You can take it to a place that will charge you $50 bucks to get it done. At the end of everything or Price we agreed on of $20,500 turned into $27k! Now I know I was gonna have to pay almost $2k for Tax, Title License but GEEZZ! What a complete rip-off. And of course the Assistant Sales manager kept trying to play the game with us. "Well what do you want to spend? What can I discount to make this deal happen?" I gavehim my final price I was willing to pay and told him "Im not here to waste my time or yours, this is the price I am willing to pay and not a dollar more" and or course he kept playing the game "Well how about this much?" Stay FAR away from this place. I do have to say that the sales team was really friendly of course but of course they are! THEY ARE YOUR FRIEND RIGHT?!?! I have purchased all of my Ford vehicles from SanTan Ford for the past 9 years. I needed a new High roof van so I went to SanTan like always. They didn't have anything on the lot but had a mid roof coming in at the beginning of September. Mallory said I could put a deposit on it and if I didn't like it I could get my money back. The van got delayed so Mallory said they had a high roof that would be available the first of October if the mid roof didn't work. We'll it was available for me to look at today and it won't fit my needs. Mallory handed me off to Manny so I told him I'd take the High roof that's coming in. Now Manny said the High roof got sold a couple of days ago and they don't have anything except the mid roof. I told him I'd just like my deposit back so he said I have to come back tomorrow because there wasn't anyone that could refund my card. DO NOT DO BUSINESS HERE. TLDR:They Lie and alter financing math hoping you won't notice. I was looking for a F150 and came here. Not stoked about the $5k above MSRP up-charge due to supply chain but I was in a pinch so we haggled and settled in a $2k up-charge. We agree on a "total" price and he goes to talk to his finance guy. He comes back, and quotes a monthly payment about $400 a month higher than it should be. I ask him why and he won't tell me and just says "that's how much it is. We argue and he goes back to his finance guy and quotes me a second price $350 higher than it should be. I ask what is the interest % you are using? He tells me 3%. I get out a payment calculator and show him what the monthly should be given the price we agree on, the term, and the apr. He then tries to tell me "those are never correct, they mess with stuff in the backend, etc.." Conclusion: This dealer is trying to steal money from you and WILL lie to you to accomplish that. They literally wouldn't let me leave to go to a meeting that I told them 3 times I was already running late for. "Well let's pull up another truck" is all they kept saying. My wife and I have a total of 5 vehicles at this dealership since 2008. Each time, we were treated with the utmost respect. The last time was the icing on the cake. My 2011 Edge's compressor died again at 182k. While it was in the shop, I rented a 2020 Edge SEL. After getting a quote for repairs, I decided to replace it. After looking at their CPO vehicles, I found a 2018 Edge SEL that was actually more loaded than my 2011 Limited. I got it for a decent price, no money down. and she's been humming along just fine. The next day, my wife did some shopping of her own and scored a 2020 Escape with a smoking deal including a VERY low 1.9% interest rate and no money down. EXCELLENT customer service from David in the Parts Department at San Tan Ford. We drove into Gilbert from the Los Angeles area in a 2017 Ford Edge titanium (rental car) and I discovered the brake fluid (as well as the windshield wiper fluid) was totally empty. We tried to contact Enterprise Rent-A-Car and they gave us the run around on where to bring the Edge so i can be serviced. I wasnt going to take a chance on a 6-hour drive back to LA that the brakes fail on us so I just decided to buy the brake fluid and top it off myself. I called David prior to heading there and he informed me they have the DOT 4 brake fluid I needed in stock. It was only a $12 bottle but was priceless for my peace of mind. He also set us up with some distilled water and the windshield wiper fluid concentrate to mix with it. Gave us the heads up on how to mix it properly and everything. He really went the extra mile for us and I just had to write this review to let people know we totally appreciated his help. My wife and I went in today for a 2021 Mustang Mach 1. My sales rep greeted us and was very friendly when we first arrived. He even carried on a conversation during the test drive. When we got back to the dealership to start the paper work, everything was going fine till we saw what they had down as the price ($79,995) even though the price on their site is listed at $61,999. When we asked where they got the number from, they said they're going off of "market value" and the MSRP is just what Ford recommends. I understand market value for USED vehicles, but marking up a new vehicle at almost 33% of it's listed price is just plain ridiculous and very unethical. Not to mention they came in almost $10K lower of what was recommended by Kelly Blue Book for my trade-in. We then spoke with the sales manager, he tried to justify the mark up but would not show us where they were getting the 33% increase. He even said he could not come up in the trade-in value because then "they'd be losing money". We've bought several new cars, with our most recent being a Cadillac, and this was by far our most frustrating experience and a complete waste of time and gas. Where do I start? First, do not go here for service. Second, if you do, do not work with James Rubio. Third, if you forget, go somewhere else. I should have known when my service advisor called me an hour after dropping my truck and said I need a new motor, to find another dealer. How did he know? His experienced ears and non-mechanical background? When I questioned him on this he told me I should talk to the mechanic. Long story short they found mystery metal (go figure) in my combustion chamber even though it only has 55k miles and is covered by the Powerstroke 100k mile powertrain warranty. Or so I thought. Since they can't identify the metal as an internal piece of the engine, the responsibility falls on me of how it got there. Why is that? With a new engine quote of $18k and 3 weeks of back and forth, they finally open a case with Ford warranty to see if it can be covered. I wonder why they did this right after receiving a complaint from the AZ Attorney General? Maybe because they were counting on my insurance claim to cover the cost or my bank account. I will update this review if anything changes but so far my opinion and recommendation has not. Go to Larry Miller or Earnhardt. Look at these ratings and read the stories. I should have before I towed my truck to San Tan. I firmly believe that service advisors working on commission (or anyone outside of sales) is a bad idea and a recipe for deception and dirty practices. They will quote book labor instead of actual labor so we can pay their kid's tuition. Document all of your conversations and their actions. They left my truck outside in the AZ elements with the window down for days before I noticed and complained. The plastic they put over the window should keep it safe. One star is an exaggeration for an auto dealer who is unresponsive, won't provide a price breakdown, doesn't answer emails or texts - even when showing up at their site twice. No matter what industry you work in, there are basic professional courtesies, even when the days are packed. Unfortunately San Tan Ford's entry level folks, and surprisingly, the midlevel and senior management, are not using these basic communication skills for their potential customers. Their loss as two Dodge Ram dealers were super responsive and we bought a Ram 1500 within a week of serious truck shopping. In all fairness to other Ford Dealers, two other local dealers are closer to two stars for at least an effort at customer service. (Don't bother talking to Shelby, it is an AI bot and there is no review or forwarding of the email exchanges .) read more

2021 F-150 was recalled by Ford. Dealer took the vehicle and installed all updates. Vehicle idled at 300 rpm before "fixes", and now idles at 900 rpm. Dealer says this is normal. Dealer is full of shit. DO not do business with San Tan Ford. They do not know how to maintain their vehicles. Ford spent too much time on EV's and now can't maintain a gas-powered truck properly. Bob K was amazing in his professional conduct, his forthrightness and his willingness to get me the best deal ever. Bob actually got me a below MSRP price on my new Mustang. I saved a lot of money buying my car thru San Tan Ford. I honestly didn't expect to pay the low cost that I did. Took my 2020 F 250 for an oil change on Wednesday. They called and said vehicle was ready and I picked it up and brought it home and discovered the oil filter was dripping in my garage.Sent them a text to let them know that was unacceptable and I'd bring it back to fix it. Upon my arrival I noticed greasy finger prints on the door panel as well and that too was frustrating. Missing tire caps and just a lack of detail you would expect from a Ford dealer. Great experience! Purchased a 2018 F-150 and everyone did a great job taking care of us. Felt like we had a team of people helping finalize everything so we could get on our way in our new truck. We went in on Saturday and the salesman that helped us did an awesome job educating us on trim levels and options. He knew we weren't buying that day but still took his time to make sure we were taken care of. We returned on Tuesday to buy the truck and the person we talked to the first time wasn't in, so we were taken care of by another salesman who also did an amazing job. 100% would recommend that you buy your Ford here! read more

Right from the moment we came in to look for our new pre owned expedition right through keeping in touch afterward to make sure we were good and our expectations were met with the maintenance needs. In my opinion he has definitely set himself apart from the standard mundane salesman scenario by being honest and personable, doing away with the usual Schtick you'd expect. Brought my 2014 mustang in for the airbag recall (after having to order it and wait for it to be available) in November 2016, was told i had to leave my car for a day for them to do the airbag replacement, and perform a Sync update....2 days later they called me and said they installed the airbag, performed a sync update, and my car was ready to be picked up. Today i removed my airbag to discover that the airbag in my car has a MFG date of 2014. They never replaced my airbag. This explains why ford has still been sending me notifications to replace my airbag. I contacted San Tan ford about this, and they cannot explain why my airbag was never replaced, or why they had my car for 2 days if all they actually performed was a sync update. DO NOT BUY FROM THIS DEALERSHIP! They are swindlers and crooks! We had heard that 2022 was the last year for the Ford Edge. Because we are retired, we decided we should trade in our 2020 Ford Edge (with all the bells & whistles) as this might be our last car we buy (and I LOVED my 2020 EDGE). Knowing why we wanted to trade (we said NUMEROUS times that this was the last year, in 2022, for the Edge), they NEVER ONCE corrected us (they made 2023 Edges this year!)! In addition, they sold us a 2022 Edge with FEWER amenities AND only gave us $17,000 toward our trade-in (which we we're still paying on). So now I have a car I HATE (the hood edges curve up so much that me, being short, have trouble parking, turning, etc. without running into the curb). Our payments are over $600/mo. and starting in June, 2025, we start BALLOON payments of over $900/mo for 39 more months! I would love to trade this car off and could care less if I EVER have another new car since we got burnt so bad on this one! Our only saving grace is that I gave up the warranty and maintenance plan we had been paying for so I haven't been required to make any payments for a few months BUT I AM CONTINUING PAYMENTS ON MY OWN TO GET THIS BEAST OFF OUR BACKS!!! Zero stars. These people are shady, dishonest, downright despicable and flat out liars! I spent 6 days dealing with them and although they started out to be nice, they turned into complete jerks. Anne Pierce and Bob K specifically. Anne had quoted me an Out the Door price for a vehicle but then Bob got involved and said they could save me some money if I have it shipped from AZ to IL by taking some of the taxes off without explaining to me that when the car comes to IL I will have to pay taxes. Now, I know I had to pay taxes, so we decided to fly there to pick it up, it was more feasible for us. The price of the car online was $26k, I sent them a screen shot of exactly how much money I have TOTAL to work with, but later was told by them that I never said anything like that to them, hence the lying. The email shown shows exactly what my out the door costs would be, including taxes and the email states driving off the lot with a 90 day plate, which can only be done by paying taxes. I initially questioned the "Added Equip" charges because they didn't make sense to me and added $2700 of unremovable options to the online price after the fact. This car went from $26644 to $32095, an increase of $6000! They got me in the door with their online advertised price, then bait and switched the whole deal. I have never been so mistreated and lied to than when dealing with these people. And after all of that they said if I change my mind to let them know. Anne turned into a bear. She got caught and then got pissy and tried to lie her way out of it. I want to let all of you know that this place is horrible. Everything happens for a reason and God was looking out for me. Looking into things I've discovered that in the state of AZ this is illegal and fraudulent. They should be disgusted with themselves treating people like this and playing games. Classic bait and switch. I was interested in a vehicle they were advertising on multiple platforms. CarGurus, Carfax, and their own website, for $13,994. When I contacted them for further information I was given a quote nearly $3000 higher, based on some "added on items". Mind you, these items have supposedly already been added and cannot be removed, Yet they continue to advertise it for a price they WILL NOT sell it for.
