    Pork fried rice

We have been here dozens of times since our first visit. Just went here 2 days ago and every single time the food is absolutely amazing. Without a doubt one of my favorite restaurants in Edgewater!

    62. Grilled Chicken Vermicelli Bowl

I was happy to find this place on Yelp. I love a good vermicelli bowl and this one was very good. It's a nice restaurant with lots of seating, clean restroom (women's) and friendly host/server. I also had a freak-squeezed lemonade that was very nice. I will definitely be back to explore the menus - lots of variety! I am gluten-free by choice and although there is no GF designations on the menu, I noticed they often describe the dish stating "rice noodle" or "flour" wrapper" that is helpful.

So the place is run of the mill as far as interior furnishings, it appears to be a 2 person operation with a slower than crap guy out front and a pretty quick guy in the back. Either one of them had any kind of personality, no help, good bye, or even a thank you. The place smells nice but almost overbearingly clean. As far as the Pho and spring rolls are concerned. The spring rolls were nice and crisp and lava hot. But are the smallest spring rolls I have ever eaten. 2.5/5. The Pho was pleasantly fragrant with just the right amount of spices and temperature. The side of sprouts, peppers and basil was on the small size, but it will do. The broth was fine but, the lack of meat was disturbing. The The price is a few dollars more than other local pho places, but it is a local favorite so that make it worth it I guess. definitely Definitely a good place but not the best in my opinion in the Annapolis area. I eat at them all. 2.8/5

Had an awesome meal here! We started with the spring rolls, and they were fresh and delicious. For the main, we tried the Vietnamese beef stew, and it was so tasty with tender beef in a rich, savory broth. We also had the spicy lemongrass beef noodle soup, and it had the perfect kick. Everything was spot on! The service was super friendly too. Can't wait to come back for more!

    Seafood Pad Thai

When you enter it's your typical Asian style restaurant kind of outdated but a very homey atmosphere. The waitress who is unorthodox to say the least sat me and my father in a booth. She handed us menus and boy was it full of choices. I chose the seafood pad thai and my father pork w/mix vegetable and we both got an appetizer of steamed wontons. They were both home runs. My pad thai was very flavorful and lots of seafood of mussels, shrimp, scallops and squid what you hoped for and the noodles were cooked just right. My Father's pork with mix vegetable was juicy with tons of flavor as well. I'd definitely go back in a heart beat. If you're looking for a good Friday, Saturday or Sunday night meal go or get takeout you won't be disappointed.

Very cute and well decorated interior.

The best dang Bahn Mi in SoMD! Also, I must comment on the delicious Pho broth...flavorful and rich. This place is beautiful. In a cute little plaza right in Edgewater. They have amazing customer service, everybody there is really fast to help you and each other out. They have a pretty good beer selection too especially if you like to sample beers from East Asia.

We are very much Thai fans, and the possibility of a great Thai place with great sushi was sounded almost too good to be true. And it was. Perhaps it's the dearth of quality Asian cuisine here in the Annapolis area that has falsely produced such high marks for Nova, but we found our fare to be adequate at best. (Two from our dinner party opted for the descriptor of "meh") The ambiance is cute - clean, bright, with exceptionally friendly (and numerous!) waitstaff. Our servers were helpful and attentive and we had high hopes for the experience. We started with three sushi rolls: Edgewater, Yoda, and one other whose name escapes me . The rolls were good. Not earthshatteringly good - just solid. Like a dependable Chevy truck. We also tried the sizzling steak and the chicken pad Thai. Both were almost over sauced. The pad Thai had a nice sour note (a hallmark of the dish) but it almost felt like the noodles were swimming in the sauce and, in my opinion, the noodles began to break down as a consequence. The sizzling steak felt cloyingly sweet to me - but the others in the group were quite as put off as I was. Again - making the meal simply "fine" As much as we hoped to find that hidden gem - we found that we need to continue our search for Asian cuisine in the area

Set in a strip shopping center there is plenty of parking. The interior is very clean and attractive with many of the traditional oriental touches. There were 5 of us and we were seated near the front window. I was somewhat surprised at the steady number of customers on a mid-week afternoon. Four of us ordered off of the lunch menu which includes egg roll, fried rice and entree. Our daughter started us off with ordering a "Volcano" cocktail for the table. It comes in a large bowl with a flaming center, very impressive. You get extra long straws to hopefully avoid setting them on fire. I took a sip but opted out for a more traditional cocktail. I started off with hot and sour soup. It wasn't listed on the menu as part of the special but seemed to be included. It was spicy! For my entree I had the chicken with cashews which was delicious with plenty of cashews to keep me happy. All of the others also had chicken dishes except our daughter who had the crispy beef which was not a lunch special. She loves the crispy beef at Jack's and it's her go-to dish of choice. The service was good and the owner who was also working the dining room was delightful. If Jack's Fortune was closer to us it would definitely be on our regular dining out rotation.

Which is wild, because I know I've taken a bunch of food pics here that I've never posted... complete waste lol. We walked in and were seated immediately and ended up getting the second-to-last available booth. Most of the room was couples on lunch dates, plus a group of friends, and later a party of about 7 took over one of the tables. Noise level was mostly moderate, with a quick sprinkle of loud when that bigger group got going, but nothing crazy, still totally fine for a date or a relaxed lunch. My wife ordered the A2 (slices of eye of round steak, well-done flank, and soft tendon). I got the A6 (eye of round steak and soft tendon). The pho was good, the broth had a lot of flavor. I did order extra noodles because while I like the pho here, the portions are a little smaller compared to some other spots we go to. I loaded mine up with bean sprouts, tore up some basil, and let the jalapeños sit in the bowl for a bit for heat. Lately though, I've been more about the chili oil, which they'll bring out if you ask. We also got shrimp summer rolls, which are always a go-to for me when eating pho anywhere. These were fresh, great texture, and the basil really pops. The peanut sauce is one of the best parts. Honestly, I could come here just for the summer rolls and that sauce. I also grabbed a taro smoothie, lightly sweet and creamy, solid choice. Food came out fast, maybe 8 minutes after ordering. Service here is consistently good. The staff is friendly, not pushy at all, and they actually check in on you without hovering. You can always get someone's attention if you need something. They even let a couple move from a table to a booth once one opened up, which I thought was a nice touch. The place itself is very clean, the tables and floors are always well kept. I don't really remember music, but there was a TV on playing college basketball. Overall vibe is relaxed. Parking can be a little tight since it's tucked behind a Rita's and the layout is kind of awkward, but even when it's full you're not walking far, just a compact lot. Price-wise, our total was about $40, but that included an extra summer roll and an extra smoothie. Without the extras, it would've been under $30. My only real critique is portion size for the price, specifically with the pho. It's not a deal breaker, but it's why this isn't my go-to spot when I'm really hungry. I'm a big guy with a big appetite -- my wife would be fine eating here any day of the week. Would I come back? Yeah. The food is good and the service is solid. For me, this is more of a quick lunch spot or a stop when I'm on the move, rather than a full dinner destination. Consistent, reliable, and never a bad choice, just depends on how hungry you are.

The family with the girl and boy that ran the front is not there anymore. So if you used to come here like me, I'm doing you all a favor and letting you guys know this place is TERRIBLE now that they switched owners. Not only that but much more expensive for a poor quality imitation of what this place used to be under the OLD owners. Small bowl is more than $18 now!!! Insane. I got a small bowl asked for half noodles they didn't do that and only had fatty brisket in it even though I got #11 which included also tendon and flank. YALL THIS PHO WAS COLD. The temperature was as if someone left hot tea out for 30-40 minutes. No more piping hot clear good broth, this broth from the new owners is MURKY AND BROWN and cold/lukewarm. I didn't say anything but just know I will NEVER come back its simply not worth it. Pickled onions was drowning in a weirdly sweet vinaigrette. Go elsewhere for better pho. I feel like these new people know they are not as good as the old people so they didn't tell anyone about the owner switch and are basically tricking people into coming and paying more money for worse pho riding on the coattails of a different owners reputation and I feel weirdly upset about that, like I've been tricked. If you guys used to come here all the time with the old owners then you will understand how upsetting this is. This place survived through the pandemic in the middle of PG that's how good they were. Pillar of the community just gone now. Also they won an award for being one of the best woman owned businesses but it's not woman owned anymore and the new owners haven't changed anything and they still have that sticker up even though it's not a woman owned business anymore. Like I said they are just riding the coattails of the previous owners.

It was our last day visiting fam in MD and we wanted to get some grub before the trip back to NY. There's a regular VN spot we frequent whenever we visit and it seemed to be closed so we didn't want to risk a drive out. We found Pho Tai 63 and called ahead to make sure they were open. Once that was done, we took the 20 minute drive to the restaurant and placed our order. The parking lot is SCANT. There are minimal spots. In this particular day (Black Friday), the place was packed, save for one spot and we got it. Upon entry, their dining room was full to capacity. We ordered some pho (that's all they have and I'm not mad - was a l'il disappointed at the time but we'll get to that). It too some time to get our food, much longer than expected, but I was not mad because there's definitely a reason for that. We brought every back home. Each pho dish was enough to feed two people my dad and brother ended up showing up at my sister's house the same time we got back. We had enough to feed everyone. The food is FRESH! the broths are clear and full of depth. You can make out the star anise and other herbs and spices. I split the shrimp pho with my brother since he doesn't eat meat. I got my sister the brisket pho. My son ordered the special pho and split that with my dad. Hubby also got a brisket pho and I got my daughter the chicken pho. The broths differ but each taste amazing. All of the pho came with the usual suspects: Thai basil, bean sprouts, hoisin sauce, lime and hot sauce. The accompaniments were plentiful so having extra mouths to feed worked out in our favor. My next trip south, I might have to do a taste test with both locations and see which I prefer. I wish they offered bahn mi sandos but honestly, with the caliber of pho they're dishing out, they are reigning supreme at the moment. Sometimes, it pays to focus on one thing and be REALLY good at it.
