My wife and I both enjoyed the Cashew Nut Chicken because it was grilled chicken and full of fresh vegetables & seasoned with a clear & spicy sauce. Enter new ownership: Ordered Cashed Nut Chicken, was not notified recipe had changed and was shocked to get home and open up container to find deep fried & breaded chicken with very few vegetables in a thick sugary sauce. Excellent Thai food. We've spent a lot of time in Thailand and can honestly say this was very good Thai food. Not greasy, good balance of flavors. We had carry-out so I can't say for dine in- but all of our family were very happy with their meal. We have been patrons of M Thai since 2013 and have always loved their food. Yesterday, we went for Father's Day. We had Pad Ped Talay which was excellent as always. Delicious seafood, fresh vegetables, and perfectly flavored sauce. We also had Pad Thai but the noodles were overcooked to the point that were mushy and flavorless(. The sauce was also too sweet. Their dishes are prepared in a somewhat different manner than commonly found at other Thai restaurants, with different cuts and styles of veggies. The Thai salads here are quite good, served slightly warm which is a nice touch. Another favorite here is their appetizer sampler which makes a good start for a meal. The interior is small due to the location, but they decorated it okay. Service is run mostly by a husband and wife team, with the gentleman out front and the lady in the kitchen. They are generally nice but can get busy at times. Otherwise, food is fresh and comes out on time with good taste and presentation. This site lists the hours of operation as open until 9pm - I believe they may have changed to 8pm, but don't expect to be able to order past 7pm, if they will even take the order. We went in one night recently at 7pm but were told we could do takeout only. There was a table with people dining, but they wouldn't accept any more customers. We ordered takeout and left. Several weeks later, we called to order takeout, but the line was busy. Since we were already out and were going to pick up the food on the way home, we stopped in, again at 7pm, to order and just wait for the food. This time, they refused to take the order at all, saying that they were closed. The lights were on, the door was unlocked, but the kitchen was closed, and the phone was off the hook. Someone else came in wanting to order takeout, but they too were turned away. Perhaps they should post their true hours, which are apparently 6pm, or maybe just shut the place down because they don't want to run the business anyway. My husband and I used to frequent this place as it has decent fresh Thai food. We used to order the large whole fish, however the owner who is an older stubborn man has the WORST customer service skills and is blatantly RACIST. Just recently I called to make a 6pm reservation for four. I told him it was my friend's birthday and wanted a comfortable table in the corner if possible because my party had two very tall people and if you've been there you know you don't want to be stuck in the middle. Anyhow, at 545 I realized that we would be 15 minutes late so we tried calling back multiple times to change our reservation. The first time they answered but placed us on a permanent hold and no one came back on the line. My husband and I tried calling multiple times and no one answered the phone. We got there around 615. Once we got there it was a long line for takeout so I patiently sat in line for 15 mins waiting. The restaurant was busy and there was one large table in the corner, my party sat while I waited to get service. Another party of 3 walked in behind us. Finally when the owner got to me I told him I had a reservation and gave him my name and he scolded me for being late. Because he's older and it was friend's birthday I didn't say anything back and asked could we keep the corner table for 6. He told me no, he asked the people behind me how many people they had in their party and they said 3. He moved us from the large six top and Sat us at the six top directly in front of the take-out line in the middle of the floor and when I asked why we couldn't keep the larger table he said it was for six people not 4, we didn't liked it but we moved. directly behind us was the party of 3 and he gave them the six top. The party of 3 was also confused and apologized about what happened. It was clear and evident what was happening. The party of three offered for us to keep the six top because it was just disrespectful. We left and went to our favorite spot Broadneck Grill. Their service was outstanding, when we arrived they asked us to pick any open table we liked. Btw this is not the first time this happened to us at M Thai, it was the third time but the first two times it wasn't as obvious and we brushed it off because it was a special family dinner prior to my daughter going back to college and the second time we were simply tired and hungry. So if you like to support racist people go and eat here, but this place will never see another dime from me. Btw my party was made up of four black and Latino professionals. My friend who we were celebrating is a decorated retired Army veteran and it was truly awful to be treated that way. Shame on you! read more

Another great hole-in-the-wall find! I was looking for Thai cuisine in the area and wow, this was amazing. Walking in, it was nothing amazing, but the decorations in the interior was very nice. Each table was already beautifully set. To being, I ordered the combo appetizer, Thai Ice Coffee, and root beer. The appetizer and drinks came out very quickly. The owner spilled the drink on the table when he set it down, but he was very quick to clean it up and sweet. The variety in the appetizers were delightful; I got to try something new and all of the different foods were done well. I ordered pad see ew and pad kee mao (drunken noodles). I loved both of these dishes. The flavors were delicious and the portions were perfect for its price (I went during lunch.). Overall, the service was fast and the food was absolutely delicious. I am an avid Thai food eater and I love trying new Thai food restaurants. I ordered a spicy eggplant with chicken and Kaprow chicken. My mother got larb gai and green curry while my grandmother got the fried duck. We were disappointed with the portion sizes. We paid a lot and our entrees did not have a lot of chicken or meat in them at all. Also, my mom's green curry was filled too high and spilled everywhere. I was caving Thai cuisine and this restaurant was nearby my hotel, located in a large strip center mall - parking was no issue during the week. Started the meal with the po tak seafood soup that was loaded with shrimp, scallops, calamari and veggies that was stellar tasting. Followed with entrées of fish Panang and Pad woo sen noodles -. Both entrées were delicious with large portions. We saved room dessert - fried banana with vanilla ice cream which made for a happy ending to a awesome meal. Service from the older waitress which I suspect is a family member was attentive and friendly. This Thai restaurant exceeded my expectations and I highly recommend this establishment. read more
