They came out in lightning speed. I ordered the first one and it was so good I ordered the second. I'll definitely be returning because of the food quality and service. If I could improve anything it would be the smell when I first walked in (it was fine but kinda like huh, but then I forgot about it.) The second thing I might change is the portion size. Of course, our noodles arrive so spicy, you can literally smell and see the fiery red pepper flakes all over the dish. We couldn't even eat the dish it was inedible and burned the mouth. Terrible. Food has a wonderful flavor and has some of the best yellow curry I've had in a while. Pad Thai has fresh veggies and has a nice flavor. Unfortunately, all the food was not spicy at all but perhaps that is because I am used to more heat as I'm from the southwest. The spices are used very well but it is very mild otherwise. The Thai tea is pretty good and the mango smoothie is even better. I don't have a photo because my party ate it so fast but the mango sticky rice is delicious, a little bit more on the salty side but very good. The water tastes odd almost metallic and I would suggest getting Thai tea for a more pleasant taste. Staff was fast and very friendly . Atmosphere was good too. The place is quaint when you walk in with two TVs on the walls one showing sports and one showing NCIS of all things. Our server was very nice but we each had trouble understanding one another. The food was hot and delicious. My wife ordered a dish called Ginger Ginger and it had an option of rice or noodles and it comes with vegetables. Unfortunately due to the language difficulties my wife got a dish that had drunken noodles rather than rice and it had no vegetables. Thai was on the menu on that Sunday in January 2023 while in Annapolis, Maryland. It was my treat to my friend who graciously picked me up from Rural Delaware that morning. I guess that's the least I can do. My friend actually recommended Tarin Thai Cuisine since it was a popular local spot. I'm loving Thai anyway so it was close enough that we came here for lunch before heading to the Baltimore international airport for my flight home. With that said, we arrived here around 12:15pm on a brisk Sunday morning. The restaurant was not as busy as I thought it may have been, especially because it's a Sunday in January, but still the weather was pretty good and it wasn't snowing. While the service seemed slow, we were seated promptly and ordered within 5 minutes of receiving the menu. It was interesting to see that you can order sides of duck, which I inevitably did. I did the yellow curry with beef with a side of duck. The slices of duck was amazing and definitely complimented my meal. I opted to have sticky rice as well. For the appetizer, I went for the spring rolls. It was crispy and freshly deep fried for my own satisfaction. I felt like it was a good experience here. Down time for lunch with a friend before heading to the airport to go home. My friend ordered the pad Thai, which looked pretty good when the food came out. The service here was definitely okay. Tarin Thai Cuisine is located at 100 Main Street in the heart of Annapolis, Maryland. They accept major credit cards as well as cash, which is good for me as a traveler. As far as parking goes, your best case scenario would be street parking where you can find it. Fortunately for us that day, we got street parking and walked to the restaurant and it was maybe 50 feet from the restaurant. If you are big on public transportation, I'm not sure if Annapolis has a local bus system or not, but you can check if there's routes that's favorable to your location and get here for authentic Thai food. Of course, there's always Uber and Lyft for your needs as well. I'm a fan of Tarin's Thai cuisine. Cons: Communication barrier with wait staff, and the spice level was lacking. The water isnt particularly worth drinking given. The price is not cheap, but understandable for the area. Bottom Line: Tasty Thai but not the most convenient spot for take out. I FINALLY got to try Tarin Thai Cuisine and both my husband and I really enjoyed it. We went pretty basic by Thai standards with Spring Rolls, Pad See-Eaw and Pad Thai but all of it was very tasty and we decided we liked it better than our local go-to spot. Currently during COVID Tarin is just offering take out and delivery. We were shopping in downtown Annapolis so we ended up getting take out on a Sunday afternoon as we were wrapping up some errands. Since we were already parked in the garage it was easy enough to get it to go and take it home but this isn't the most convenient spot for quickly picking up a meal unless you live within walking distance. One thing I've found challenging with Tarin Thai Cuisine is they don't seem to strictly adhere to their hours. I ordered takeout with a friend last night. I had a really nice conversation with the man across the counter who seemed to be the owner and were told everything would be ready in 15 minutes. When my friend and I returned, the line had grown pretty long. Even though it seemed the man was the only person out in contact with the customers he was very prompt in catering to us. I enjoyed my food when I got back home. The pad see-eaw was so delicious and spicier than I had expected, but I kind of preferred it that way. Very nice staff and lots of locals support with a lot of to go. The restaurant has seating and tables available if you'd like to enjoy your meal there. My overall experience here was pleasant especially for a place that's new. From what I can remember, this spot used to be a Vietnamese restaurant. I am no pro when it comes to owning a business. However, I know that when it comes to new establishments there's always trial and error. Tarin Thai has potential. The food quality was good for the most part. The drunken noodles blew my mind (I am big fan of drunken noodles)!!! The vegetable spring rolls were surprisingly delicious when you pair with their pickled jalapenos! The egg rolls came with their thai chili sauce, but the jalapenos paired very well with them. Finally, the duck noodle soup has potential I tell you. The only suggestion I would like to throw out with the quality of the duck meat. It is more on the dry side. I'm not for certain if they cooked the duck meat with the broth together. Maybe roasting the duck and add it to the soup as a finishing touch (like a topping) may help lock in the moisture of the meat. Parking wise, there's street parking which may be challenging in most cases especially on the weekends. It is one of the busiest spots towards the weekend. Anyway, the staff at Tarin Thai is very friendly and welcoming! They also maintain the cleanliness of the establishment (including the restroom). I hope for the best for their business! I think they were understaffed. They seemed to bring every entree ordered out individually so I think they were cooking them one by one. We waited an hour for our entrees. Tables of people who were seated after us got their food before us, which made no sense because we ordered the same food they did. I was disappointed in the watery taste of the pad Thai too. The papaya salad was tasty but my mouth hurt so bad after from the spice. On the bright side, the entrees are way more than generous enough for a dinner portion and the pad see-eaw and tom kha soup were very good. The waiter was really nice but he seemed to be waiting on every single table alone that night. Overall, most of the food was good but the service was too poor for me to overlook.
