Lemongrass Too is our favorite local place for Thai takeout. Their food is absolutely delicious, they have reasonable prices and big portions. I haven't eaten inside yet but their location always looks very cozy and clean. I ordered a side of fried rice, spring rolls and their beef called the Waterfall if I'm not mistaken. Very good, flavorful and soft. It could be a little bit spicy but I'd suggest telling them you don't want it to be too spicy if you don't like spicy beef and they'll do it for you. Great place! Order was placed online on a weekday evening. It's not a fancy restaurant or anything. Fried rice had no taste of salt. Just mounds and mounds of greasy rice with occasional morsels of meat and silvers of onions. I guess they forgot or skimped on fish sauce. I had to use the salt packet included in the plastic utensils it came with. I've never done that before! This restaurant looks tired! The outdoor seating is plastic and dirty. The plants are dead. In the inside, the floors are overly wormed and unpleasant to walk on. While working in Annapolis I was looking for Thai food lunch specials in the area via Yelp and found Lemongrass Too. I ordered my fav Thai dish, Drunken Noodles with chicken & a Thai tea To-Go. I normally get Thai Spicy but because this was my 1st time eating them from here I opted for the level before Thai Spicy and the gentleman taking my order offered to provide additional spice on the side. I arrived within 10 mins and my order was ready. The location is in the back corner of a shopping center with many shops. Plenty of free parking, indoor & outdoor seating available, a small restaurant with ample seating and a full bar. I was not there long but it appeared clean & tidy and the staff were pleasant. I paid and went on my way. Inside my bag was the additional spice and chopsticks as I requested. While the noodles were a bit softer than I would've liked, there was plenty of chicken and the vegetables were fresh, boasting juicy tomato and crunchy onions & peppers. Overall the dish was good. I did not need the extra spice provided since the spice level was to my liking (Runny nose (LOL) but I could still enjoy the flavor). Craving Thai, decided to give this location a try. What a mistake. Cashew chicken was terribly bland, dry and tasted old. The spring rolls were rancid and so was the beef pad se ew. That was tasteless, didn't even have soy beans in it. The beef also tasted rancid. Our entire order was Just bad in every way. The steam rice was not cooked all the way either. How do you mess up rice? Some were grains were still medium hard. Awful! The worst is their pricing. I totally feel ripped off and have decided not to patronize any of the Lemongrass restaurants from here on out. Tired of throwing away money. Seriously, don't go here. I have never been more disappointed in pretty basic dishes. I ordered crispy green beans, which were ok, but the sauce was gloppy and no real taste, larb gai, which was ok, and pad see lew which had the worst noodles (mushy and overcooked)I have ever had and not any real flavor. We are returning to Annapolis after many years away. I remember Lemongrass when it first opened and it was a runaway hit. The food was to die for and not long after, Lemongrass Too opened. The Housley Rd location was more convenient so most of the time, that is where I went. I don't know if this place is in it's last throws or if it is on the cusp of revitalization. The table was so sticky that the plate was practically glued on-I had to use some of my pathetically limited strength to pry it loose. Everywhere we touched it was icky. I went to the bar to ask for a hot cloth to clean it and was informed that it was the actual table finish that was deteriorating. (and all of the tables were in similar shape) We used napkins as placemats which solved the immediate problem but gave us grave feelings about the status of its future. I truly hope that they are getting ready to renovate... Service was cooperative-4 people came with varying tasks-it was a good sign. As for the food, most of it was top notch fantastic. Appetizers were the Green Beans (a sad come down from what they used to be) and the Crispy Chive Cakes (surprisingly wonderful!) The shrimp tempura dish (Shrimp Prik Klua) was one of the best I've ever had. I tried 6 different sauces and the sweet and sour was my favorite. The Khoa Soi was exquisite and huge-definitely one of our favorite dishes in town! I just wish they could recapture the original glory of the Green Bean Tempura appetizer. It used to be so amazing and I suspect it was resonsible for launching the trend elsewhere. It's a gloppy, rather bland shadow of it's former self now. But most of all, I hope this place is going to be given a spruce-up soon. It is just too good to lose! read more

With only one waitress for the restaurant you might want to consider take out, not to mention our table was incredibly sticky. Utensils and plates stuck to it. So, my fiancé and I took a small getaway to Annapolis. It was not too far but not too close so we thought we can enjoy our brief vacation. We went there after contemplating whether we should go Lemongrass or Lemongrass Too. The only reason we chose to go Lemongrass Too was because we were exhausted from being out cold. We wanted to be a quick dinner. Anyways, it was interesting experience. We ordered for lettuce wraps as an appetizer. It described on the menu that dish would comes with ginger sauce which never did. I had to ask for it. The server (I assume he is a manager or owner) never asked what option we want out of choices (chicken, talapia, and steamed tofu). We then ordered entrees: drunken noodles with beef & Khoa Soi with beef. All bowls and dishes that we were served with were chipped like as if the management of restaurant does not care, but they were certainly generous on the amount of beef that we got. The drunken noodle that my fiancé got was not spicy at all. My dish was hearty and thick curry noodle, which I absolutely loved. Even my fiancé loved it! I had to order a bowl of rice because I enjoyed the soup so much. The dishes were filling and not bad, but not the best. It was not satisfying experience. However, I want to give another chance to try when I visit Annapolis next time. Not this location though. read more

Major warning for peanut allergy people: peanuts are even in dishes where peanuts aren't listed!!! We ordered a pad see iew which (pictured) had no peanuts listed on the menu, but after bites of eating it, I found peanuts- I have a peanut allergy. By the end of dinner, I was flushed in the face, hot, and my throat was itchy. Not a commendable experience at all. Aside from the literal deathly situation, the food took 45+ minutes, no drink refills were offered AND a dime sized beetle flew into my hair at our table- WTF! Found this place when I was craving some Thai food later in the evening. It's at the end of a plaza and looks to have a nice looking outdoor eating area. There were a couple of small groups inside and I was served promptly. My go to appetizer is a crispy tofu and thankfully it was on the menu. I ordered that and a Thai tea. The dip was a sweet chili sauce with peanuts. I usually love pad Thai or a duck curry when available, and I almost got the duck curry, but I saw the Chesapeake pad Thai and was too curious. It was a pad Thai with lump crab meat and old bay seasoning. When it arrived, the smell of old bay was very prominent. There was no heat levels indicated on the menu for this item, so I asked for some heat on the side and was given a spice rack. The rack has chili garlic sauce, chili oil, ground dry chili spice and a 4th that I can't remember. I took a bite to get a taste and it was different for sure. Then added my sambal oelek and it was perfect. I ate a portion and took the rest home. Was deciding on dessert so I asked about the mango sticky rice. There was one left, so I decided to just get it because it was fate. The sticky rice was nice and warm, while the mango was a little underripe. Still tasty. Would definitely come back as I need to try that duck curry. read more

My husband and I enjoyed lunch today at Lemongrass Too, on their outdoor patio. During this season of Covid, restaurants with outdoor dining spaces are at a definite advantage. This patio space on the end of the restaurant is not new, but now it is really in demand. They are using disposable paper menus and the staff is masked. The excellent menu is mostly the same. We shared a bunch of appetizers, and had a delicious, satisfying lunch. The sun was shining and it is a beautiful fall day. So get on over there and enjoy-- they are doing a great job. read more

Lemongrass has great food but awful delivery service through GrubHub. I ordered for delivery at 7:30 tonight. Delivery came before 7:00 and both of us were not home. I did not want cold food and instructed the GrubHub driver to redeliver fresh/hot food and he said he would call GrubHub and make it right. Well, it was NOT made right. I asked for a fresh and hot order at 7:30 and guess what? Will not replace order, redeliver order, or refund the money I paid for our order. The only thing provided is a $5.00 credit towards our next order. REALLY?? I have attached a screen grab from the customer support representative at GrubHub. I'm a Thai food addict and this place just wasn't doing it for me. It's menu boasts "modern Thai food" and maybe I'm more of a traditionalist? I ordered their Thai iced tea and it's was tasty, but $4 was a steep price. I ordered my go-to Panang curry with tofu and it was just...average. The spice profile was kind of neutral and not as flavorful and robust as I'm used to. I finished off my meal with mango sticky rice, and like my entree, it was just average. The mango wasn't super ripe and the sticky rice was lacking flavor. Service was great, and staff were extremely friendly. Just wasn't in love with the food. read more

One of establishments in this local chain, the food here is good but not authentic Thai. Although the flavours are intense, most dishes tend to be way too saucy and sweet. Protein portions are decent, but vegetable choices are limited. For example, a lot of dishes have large chunky slices of bell pepper that are barely cooked, indicating most entree ingredients are pre-cooked and barely warmed with the appropriated sauce. Basil dishes do come with a nice amount of flash-fried basil leafs though. The atmosphere is nice enough. Facility is clean and modern, with a large outdoor seating area for when the weather is nice. Staff is very friendly and provides good service. We haven't spoken to a Thai person on any of our visits however, which may go back to the lack of authenticity. I wanted some stir fry with Thai basil and the waiter recommended the Ka Pow chicken and then to round things out, I threw in some spring rolls and the vegetable fried rice. The dish was certainly not what I expected. It seemed more like chicken in quite a bit of broth giving it almost a soup like consistency rather than a stir fry ? We stopped in here while we were staying in Annapolis on vacation. The restaurant was a little bit crowded, however it was very inviting. They could use a bigger dining room which I know they would fill up easily. We came here to mainly get a snack. We ordered some garden rolls which is about 2 rolls cut into 4 pieces total. I also ordered a cup of the lemongrass soup. It had many pieces of seafood in it which was definitely more than I had expected. Everything was delicious. Went in the other day and wasn't sure what to expect with COVID and all. There where places to sit down and eat. I had mine to go. I walked into the restaurant and was greeted and I made my order. Staff was SUPER friendly, with my group of 4 we all placed our orders and food was ready in about 10-15 min.
