I've stopped by twice since I've discovered this place and it's a problem. I'm really trying to unbig my back and Freakin' Sweet Jars is making it difficult. Lol. The first time I stopped by, I grabbed a cookie. That day they had the banana pudding cookie. Since I love banana pudding, this was a no-brainer. I don't know how they got this cookie to taste like banana pudding, but they did. Adding the white chocolate drizzle took it over the top for me. The second time I had the sweet potato cheesecake. I love sweet potatoes and I have not had a sweet potato dish or dessert that I didn't like. This cheesecake kept the streak alive. I'm assuming this is a seasonal dish, but I really wish it was a permanent item on the menu. If there was a way that I could eat this every day and not gain weight, I would. I'm hoping I can catch it again before the season changes and they moved on to some other cheesecake flavor. I'm pretty sure I was helped by the owner both times. This jem is tucked back into a corner of Annapolis Mall- near The Container Store. I bought the banana pudding jar and a small snickerdoodle cookie. Both were excellent. I have been a fan of Freakin Sweet Jars since their earlier days when they had a small kiosk at Arundel Mills Mall. They eventually opened another kiosk at Columbia Mall. Then, they shut those locations down to now have this space in Annapolis Mall. I love that they now have a bigger space with what I assume is an attached kitchen. I moved out of Maryland almost 2 years ago, but recently found myself spending a weekend in Annapolis. Since I was in the area, I was hoping to get my favorite key lime pie jar. When I arrived around 2 pm on a Saturday, the jar pickings were slim and they didn't have the flavors I was looking for. I settled for a banana pudding cup and oreo cheesecake jar. Both were pretty good, but not really what I wanted. I think it would be helpful for them to label the fridge that they keep the desserts in as well so we know what they are. I had to ask what everything was because there's a menu of flavors posted, but all those flavors weren't available. Also, I think it may be helpful to have a daily or weekly menu or flavors of the day/week so we kind of know what to expect. I'm not sure if the other flavors sold out or if they simply just didn't make them available that day. Otherwise, I still support this business and I'm happy to see their growth. read more

Freakin Sweet Jars is incredible! My teen son and I visited recently, and we're still talking about how delicious everything was. The sugar cookies and cheesecake? I love this place! Anytime I'm at Annapolis mall, I always stop by to grab some sweet treats. It helps that they have a rewards program too so I've gotten free sweets before also! The customer service is the best that there is, and I love how sweet the owner and her family are. They've even catered my babyshower, my son's first birthday, and my cousin's wedding, so you know it's good! It was just okay. Wife got two chocolate chip cookies. No offer to warm the cookies up as they had been sitting on display. I had the brownie jar, the brownie pieces were hard even though it was freshly made. The biggest issue was the customer service.
