This is the REAL deal. I was amazed how good a place ,tucked out of the way in a shopping center ,is. I had the drunken noodles at it truly was the best I ever had . The owners are on site waiting on customers and cooking. Very nice atmosphere and clean. They show their pride in the establishment . I wish it was closer to me I would go there weekly or maybe more. I've gone here several times in just a very short time... every time I've order to-go... the wonton soup is different but absolutely yummy! Wish there were a few more wontons in the soup but maybe I'm just being a glutton! The Kanomjeeb appetizer is wonderful! This used to be our go-to for thai food. Sadly, it is not as good as good as it used to be. Another restaurant that has gone downhill since COVID. Ordered Pad Thai it was mushy and very dry. The meat was non-existent, and the portion was very small. The price has gone up significantly, which I understand. However, noodles are cheap. There isn't much out in this part of Maryland, particularly for a vegetarian, but Yelp led me here. It's a modern-looking shopping center, and the restaurant's interior was quite pleasant, thankfully boasting some very comfortable armchairs. The menu offers a typical vegetarian slate for Thai, and the drunken noodles I got were capably rendered, with the bitterness of basil bouncing back and forth with the sweet and spicy notes, and a nice variety of fresh-tasting vegetables. The dumplings I added on offered a pleasant and green mix of ingredients. The only negatives I had were the actual amount of tofu in my tofu kee mao was not great, just a half dozen or so small pieces, and they were lightly staffed on a midweek night and not quick bringing water, which between my initial thirst and the appreciable bite and saltiness of the food, I rather needed. Not enough to stop me from giving them four stars and a positive recommendation for anyone looking for food around Annapolis that isn't seafood. read more

Absolutely the best Thai food in town. The gold standard when it come to Pad Thai in my opinion. The Panang curry is spot on and always a family favorite. Mod and Art are always welcoming hosts. My wife and I had dinner at M Thai after a number of days out of town. Traffic and weather made the drive home a real stress so we decided to go out for dinner. For context we love Thai food and in fact our late sister-in-law is/was Thai and we cook a lot of Thai food at home in her memory. M Thai is new to us. Walking in resulted in dialing back our expectations. There is something...utilitarian about the place. I makes you feel like you're eating in a college dining hall. A small one. Service from the beginning throughout was slow. We had to wave someone down a couple of times. My wife ordered Pad Thai and I had Pad King. The kitchen moved pretty quickly. The food was okay. On their own the kitchen gets three stars. Service and atmosphere knock a star off. It's really as if some old guys (N.B. I'm an old guy) and said "let's start a restaurant." A for effort, B- for food, C- for service and the overall experience. Our assessment may well be why there is such a bustling carryout business. I would rate them higher if we only ordered carryout. In the culinary wasteland of Annapolis MD we actually have a number of pretty good Thai choices (including our own kitchen) so we probably won't be back to M Thai. read more

This was the first time we ordered from here. We ordered carry out with no issue and the staff was very friendly. My three stars is for disappointment from menu inconsistency. We ordered dishes that we order regularly from Thai restaurants with no issues or menu accommodations. We have a pea allergy in the house and there were peas in all of our dishes except for the soup (side note: the Tomkha soup is delicious!). Those peas were not disclosed on the menu. We have been been coming to this hidden gem in Edgewater for over three years, and each dining experience has been excellent. Interior is very casual and simple, don't let it stop you, walk in find a comfortable seat and if you like Hot Jasmine or Green tea order it! The unfortunate thing about this review is that having eaten here multiple times, I know that the food is fantastic. The one star review is a result of poor customer service time after time. On several occasions, we have called for takeout over an hour before close and either never had our call answered, or worse had someone pick up the phone and put the call "on hold" indefinitely. On another occasion, we followed up an unanswered phone call by physically going to the restaurant around 8:10 to order takeout. Upon waking in, a man told an employee to "turn off the open sign." At this point, you win, M Thai Kitchen. You've lost our business. Maybe consider changing your business hours to more accurately reflect when you stop doing business. read more

I was excited because they agreed, even nicely tried to dissuade me by saying "it will be really hot.." Boy do I wish someone took a picture of the crazy smile that came across my face. You know that crazy GF meme that we used to see everywhere, she was an amateur compared to what I looked like. When the spring rolls came out (within minutes btw), I killed it faster than me taking an unintentional dump while being blasted into space - DANK DANK! Then our food came out a few minutes later... And my mouth was full of watery cum. It was delicious, flavorful, and perfect with the rice, even though I wish they gave us more rice off the bat. We arrived at 8:25 for dinner and was rudely "greeted" by an older man who was behind the cash registered who said loudly - "Wow" 8:30!" - as we continued to stand by the door waiting for someone to properly greet us, he proceeds to walk up to us, looking at his watch, and says "wow, 8:30? I'm sorry we close at 9:00, I mean you can order to go; because we would have to stay until 9:30!". He says this across the room, making us feel unwelcome, for sure. What a quirky little delight. We're new to the area and of course needed to try the highest rated local Thai restaurant! It's tiny but cute inside; the decor is unique -- like a takeout place gone eat-in. Some of the tables have *really* soft, comfortable chairs that were so unexpected and cozy that my partner and I were wondering why more dining establishments don't have comfy chairs. The waitstaff was attentive throughout. As we were eating lots of people came in to get takeout; this place is popular! Appetizers: Spring rolls were cut in half diagonally. They were warm and crispy and the sauce was good. My partner had wonton soup and liked it. My entree was veggie Pad Thai. I'm vegan and asked for it without egg and there was no problem. It was one of the more unique pad thais I've ever had -- "fresh and light" is the best way to describe it. It was PACKED with fresh veggies, including uncooked cabbage, carrots and peanuts to be mixed in after you brought it to the table (for the cabbage this was especially nice!) The sauce was really light. I wish there had been more tofu -- the tofu was a little overdone and small; I might ask for extra next time. The dish is definitely dominated by veggies -- sometimes the noodles seemed overwhelmed. But this was one of the few pad Thai experiences where I wasn't weighted down with a ball of noodles in my stomach after! My partner had chicken ladnar. Came with lots of gravy, and dominated by carrots and broccoli. She liked the noodles a lot. Will definitely be back; am interested in how the dishes convey to takeout.
