I ate everything because it was so good. I got a burger with fries, thousand island sauce, and ranch

The food, service, and Ambiance was amazing! The customer service was very quick and the shakes are so good and they come with all the leftover so it is two shakes for the price of one. Would definitely recommend.

My family and I love coming here! We truly enjoy the fun retro style, welcoming atmosphere, delicious food, and the amazing staff. Alondra and Manny always make us feel right at home! Alondra was absolutely wonderful during our visit tonight -- so attentive, friendly, and genuinely joyful in the way she serves. You can tell she really enjoys what she does, and it shows. She was on top of everything and made our experience even better. And Manny, the manager, consistently goes above and beyond. He makes sure everyone who walks through the doors feels welcomed and well taken care of. He's attentive, kind, and clearly great at what he does. We also appreciate how involved he is in the community -- it makes supporting this location even more special!

This is a $22 combo with small cup of clam chowder. The chicken is bad. There is more batter than the actual chicken. There's too much pepper in the batter as well. The service was great though.

The classic cheeseburger with fries.

While more and more fancy and pricey burger joints are popping up everywhere, there is nothing more down to earth and American than grabbing a classic cheeseburger and a shake or a Coke from a Ruby's. This 1950's themed diner has been a part of many local communities for over four decades and very little has changed through the years. The restaurant still features the same booths with bright red and comfy sofas, the servers still wear the same vintage retro-style uniforms, and memorabilia from the days of Big Band music still decorate the walls. Their burgers are always good and accompanied by fresh and piping hot shoestring fries that are properly salted. The meat is flavorful and not too greasy. I also like the toasted brioche bun. I usually go with the classic which comes with American cheese, lettuce, tomatoes, and Ruby's secret sauce. Sometimes when I want to add some flavors from south of the border, I'll order the guacamole burger. Another one of my favorites is the hickory burger which comes with smoked bacon and BBQ sauce. I find the prices here reasonable and affordable for a treat at a local diner. Their service is usually prompt and courteous. The atmosphere is bright and cheerful and is certainly family friendly.

By far my family's favorite restaurant, Ruby's is truly special. It's hard these days to find a throwback diner with that real "Happy Days" vibe but they've nailed it. From the decor, menus literally everything is 1950's magical. This specific review will highlight Christmastime at Ruby's, which is a family tradition for us to break away during all the busy busy and just enjoy a nice dinner in the midst of all the shopping and wrapping of the holiday. Any train lovers out there? They have a model train not just on display but running in the dining room towards the back (walk in go far right) and the decor is subtle, very small town but with enough touch for a beautiful photo op. Food is always amazing, best burgers this side of town and by far, the #1 spot in So Cal for shakes. Come by for the holidays and believe me, you will be amazed!

I came on a Thursday for dinner and it was a steady flow of customers and lots of families. Not too loud and had the old school music playing in the background. Good service. Loved the that this place hasn't changed and become modernized. Still true to the years of diner experience. Oreo milkshake was a must and it did not disappoint. I ordered a cheeseburger with fries and let me tell you the way it was put together was eye appealing. I go to many burger places and Ruby's presentable burgers are incredible and delicious. I don't know why I haven't come here sooner!

Still not a problem, as we just joined the wait list and it was accurate down to the minute. It's a small place that is one big sushi bar. You can watch as most of your food is made in front of you. There's a reason why the crispy rice appetizer is repeatedly mentioned by other diners - it is really good. The salmon appetizer and cucumber salad were also worth it. Dont skip the fries. Dusted with furikake and perfectly crispy on the outside. I didnt like the sauce it came with my others in my party did. (They compared it to the Raising Canes sauce?) The hand rolls come out pretty quickly and at a decent pace that keeps the seaweed crispy. We ordered the salmon, salmon crunch, spicy tuna, crab and california rolls - all were delicious. It was surprising to us how full we were, because it feels like when we go to a regular sushi spot we eat so much more. The yuzu drink (non alcoholic) was refreshing and if you're just having water, they'll keep the glass full. We noticed the family next to us had two "Kei concepts" boxes that look almost like happy meal boxes. They said it's the kids meal that has chicken nuggets, fries and apple juice for only $8. Not a bad option, if your kiddo isnt into sushi yet.

We came here for lunch on a week day so it wasn't too busy, but we did see people start piling in right around 12:30 pm. The parking can be pretty diabolical, so I would try to come here for an early lunch and avoid the hectic parking. The staff here were all so nice. We were greeted and food came out at a reasonable time. They did run out a few items on their menu so just make sure to check with the waiter/waitress. The lunch specials are a good deal where you get an app and a main for $25. I went with the meatballs and the chicken parmigiana verde, which were both delicious and flavorful. Pasta was cooked perfectly. In addition, the calamari was good, but was a little bit overbattered. The ricotta cavatelli was room temp when it came out and the funghi pizza was just okay. There were some hits and misses but overall a solid place to go for lunch. I loved the interior though, very clean and simple. The natural lighting that shines in is amazing, makes it a great spot to eat and relax on work day. Is it the best italian food around? No, but it gets the job done.

The classic cheeseburger was very good! A little on the plain side, but still good. I got the green chile queso fries and the queso was too extra in my opinion. It belonged with chips and not fries. The fries are good on their own! The vibe feels like a brewery and busy but it's not too overstimulating. Overall, a good place to watch a game and get a meal/drink!

Cuz nothing on planet earth -save for my wife's lovely figure, of course- will get me going quicker than a well made burger, executed flawlessly. Hopdoddy Burger Bar gets a LOT right: Well made glamburgers that could grace the cover of "Bon Apetit" or "Playboy" what with their glistening, fluffy brioche buns; Creatively christened names; Vast arsenal of craft beers ready on tap; and quick, fast-casual service. Like Jerry Maguire, these folks had me at "Hello!' However, your favorite Yelp correspondent has savored well made burgers on two continents and in 42 states. Here's some tasting notes that my (probable/likely/one day) future son in law and I co-devised: The brioche buns, despite their pillowy softness and foodie-porn good looks, make a lousy vessel for any of their "wetter" burger choices. On Eli's Caddy Wagyu and my Good Night Burger, we both were left with bottom buns soaked like a sponge with various toppings incl bacon jam, house sauce, tomato juice and grilled onions. These were both soggier than my bride's handkerchief after watching "The Notebook!" Please consider offering picky burger snobs like Yours Truly a more suitable bun choice that can withstand the assault of wet ingredients! Suggested vehicles include potato buns, ciabatta, sourdough or even pretzel. Also, pls consider selling customers a small side of fries that ACCOMPANIES the burger- Charging folks $7-13 a la carte when they're already spending $11-$24 for a (glam)burger seems mildly exploitative. Pro Tip- Try dipping your fries in their housemade Chipotle Ketchup is a flavor bomb! My bill, for two gourmet burgers, a large fries and a diet coke, was $47 and change.
