They've got tons of options and everything we ordered was very solid. We definitely went more of the carbs route, but you can deviate as well. Nothing of major note in terms of service or atmosphere. It's not the most upscale of restaurants, but it does the trick. I'd happily return, especially for some steamed buns!

Believe it or not, our Latino Uber driver told us about Quincy, MA on D2 of our first Boston trip a…read morefew weeks ago. He said that it's a predominantly Chinese community. So ofc I had to look it up and find a good dim sum place. I had low expectations going in. We called just to make sure they were open as we realize businesses in MA don't pick up their phones. Not only did someone answer but agreed to save a table for us during prime dim sum hours. (Excuse me...what?). Something is learned in MA is always factor in traffic, no matter what Google Maps says. It's nothing fancy when you walk in. You can tell a lot of locals hang up and meet up with friends here. Ah Wah welcomed us in, being seated immediately to the table along the wall, near the storage. The order sheet with pictures was given and immediately checked off our staple items. -Siu Mai This was DD's favorite of all time and she is the Siu Mai monger in our fam. I trust her opinion. Well balanced filling, nicely steamed. Not overly fatty or seafoody IYKYK -Baked BBQ bun Tradional baked bun. Slightly crunchy top (not the pineapple crust). I could have eaten a whole plate by myself had I not had to save room for other dishes -Har Gow (being that we're in a fresh seafood state) -Steamed Beef ball - it was steamed on a bed of greens vs dried tofu skin. Omg! It's been ages since I've had it this way -Sesame Roll The egg tarts were sold out and this was our consolation prize but OMG, I might have cried at the first bite. Yes. It was that good. Freshly steamed and them rolled bc it came out in the beginning and still hot on the inside -Tofu pudding -Rice Roll (Beef) -Sticky Rice (Lo Mai Gai) - "Ha moon choy mai" (kinda looks like Filipino pancit) A wok fried vermicelli dish I haven't had in over 30 years was requested and didn't think they'd make it. But...they DID. The owner said the chef was from HKG and could make anything I wanted . The flavors were so nostalgic. Not only did the owner and manager stop by to chat, but the customers sitting next to us joined in. Everyone was so nice and welcoming like the other Bostonians we encountered on our trip. Ngl, I considered moving here just for the food and atmosphere. Probably one of the best dim sums I've had in the States and probably in HKG. Everything was steamed to perfection. It's been weeks and I am still thinking about my meal here, wondering when I can fly back to Boston again. Hopefully sooner than later. Definitely be back be for another trip with my parents, esp after we raved about this place here Overall, 4.5

Big Fun Cafe has quietly secured its spot as my go-to neighborhood gem, mainly because their rice…read morenoodle rolls are completely unmatched in the area. Thin, chewy, and cooked to perfection, they hit that exact balance of simple ingredients and flawless execution. The sweet soy sauce ties everything together, making every bite ridiculously easy to devour. My usual rotation includes the classic plain roll, the shrimp roll, and the golden roll with cha siu, where an egg is scrambled directly into the rice noodle sheet. If you are looking for something heartier, their clay pot rice is solid, though it is strictly an dine-in dish--it loses its best texture if you try to take it to go. The service is fast, friendly, and delightfully efficient. The quick-moving aunties running the floor are total pros who come to work and clear tables with impressive speed, so it is best to just stay out of their way and let them do their thing. Despite how fast-paced the restaurant is, the attention to detail is remarkable; after years of regular visits, I have yet to experience a single messed-up order. Inside, the space is simple, functional, and spotlessly clean. It is designed like a traditional Chinese eat-in spot where the primary goal is turning tables quickly, but you never feel neglected. All the essential condiments and utensils are right where you need them, the tables are never sticky, and the overall setup makes it easy to pop in, enjoy a top-tier meal, and be on your way.

House Chicken 秘制沙薑雞: The chicken was tender and juicy, with a perfect balance of lean and fat. The ginger sauce was incredibly authentic; you could easily eat two extra bowls of rice just by mixing it with the sauce. Beef Brisket w. Radish in Claypot 蘿蔔牛腩煲: The parts of the meat not submerged in the broth were a little dry, but overall it was still very aromatic! Yang Chow Fried Rice 揚州炒飯: This dish had absolutely nothing to do with Yangzhou fried rice, but that didn't detract from its deliciousness. The rice grains were distinct, light but not bland. Wok Tossed Beef Chow Fun 乾炒牛河: A bit of a disappointment. The rice noodles were too soft, making them greasy, and the wok hei (wok aroma) wasn't strong enough.

It is literally across from a condo complex and offers 3 parking spaces in the front. Inside there is a relatively clean front room and a back room that is simply decorated. I highly recommend the wontons ($13 w/o tax) with noodle soup as it tastes very bouncy and not too salty. The beef chow foon ($16 w/o tax) has wok hei (smoky) taste to it. The lemongrass chicken on rice ($14 w/o tax) is okay. Service is friendly and prompt. There is one bathroom for customer use.

And her impact was proven while we were there last night because some kids asked their parents to come in as they were walking by just to say hello to her. Every time I come, she recalls exactly how I like my hot pot sauce and which unique beverage each of our family member will likely order. Fairy is an intimate setting. Not too loud. There's a strong following from the neighborhood. Their AYCE hot pot offering is reasonable in price and choices up against all the other hotpot choices in Quincy. Their ala carte menu is just as satisfying. We also enjoy a frozen smoothy to go with dinner. My favorite is banana avocado or red bean. There are ample free apps that come with AYCE hotpot. My favorites are fried oysters and coconut shrimp. From there is ordering from a huge variety of meats, vegetables, and other hot pot fixings. Love their hand made dragon fruit shrimp paste and giant clams. But for my family, it is really always all about the choice beef - fat cow. I never leave hungry. There's nothing like the taste of the unique broth resulting in all of the foods you cook in the hotpot. I love to enjoy a bowl of the broth at the end of the meal. The kids enjoy the included ice cream.

Though not a Thai restaurant, their Tom Yum noodle soup is just the best. They let you choose the type of noodle you want which is really nice if you want to customize and have a preference for noodles. Other favorites I recommend from the menu are the fried oysters and the green tea smoothie. Wish I could recommend more since it's such a big menu but I keep sticking to the same things so I can't personally speak to them. Others have tried the rice dishes etc and liked them a lot as well so I really don't think you can go wrong.

The dumplings had lots of filling and the dough wrapper was thin and delicate. The protein dishes were all well marinated. Nothing was too salty nor overcooked. The truffle dumpling was a surprise menu item and the wrapper did taste very much like truffles....very interesting dish. Overall a great place for dim sum. You order and they bring it to you. No carts. There is a nice picture menu so it's easy. A few improvements....WiFi was asked and the waiter said No WiFI, but afterwards we asked the cashier guy and he gave us the password. So they need to be better that way. The Siu Mai did not have mushrooms like other places, which made it a bit bland.

Probably my top choice for Cantonese and Cantonese seafood in the area, Wealth is a small place,…read morebut definitely punches above its weight. Despite its size, Wealth is good for larger groups, with its sizeable round tables with lazy susans. Plus the restaurant is quite clean and does not have that dumpster or unknown stench that I detect at some Chinatown spots. The seafood here is strong, but other offerings are good as well. Their noodles have good wok flavor and are generously-portioned. I like their salt & pepper chicken wings as a party food or appetizer. Though a bit pricey, their black pepper beef on a sizzling pan is a bit of a show-stopper, with pretty tenderized beef. Even the vegetable entrees aren't bad as well. Their stir-fried peapod stems are pretty good. They'll work with you if you are vegan/vegetarian. Service is probably its weakness, even with the understanding that it's a Chinese restaurant and I order in Cantonese. They'll try to hurry you along at the end of a meal. One waiter even asked, "Are you done?" Before I could retort he said, "We're running a business here". The FOH is pretty nice and is prompt. The restaurant is literally across the street from the Wollaston T stop, so getting here without a car is totally possible.

Nicely cooked shrimp. Black bean sauce was subdued, though with noticeable ginger every fourth bite or so. Good. -- Chau Chow Style Clams: The big winner, with flavor galore from the chives and the tiny dried shrimp as well as tiny shreds of pork and the namesake ingredient. Hints of black bean sauce in a thinned-down broth. Great on its own and mixed with white rice. -- Chicken with Fried Garlic: Stellar as well, but a repeat item, so the greatness wasn't a surprise like the clams. Crispy, juicy, strongly flavored of marinade that stood out even with the garlic (mild, not bitter) and salt. Some light heat in there too. Elite and a perennial must-order dish. -- Beef Chow Foon: First time offered a choice between wet and dry. I remember the last time it was soaked with sauce (delicious though), so went dry this time and enjoyed it more. Very soft noodles, beef very tender, and much more of it than you would expect for the fairly reasonable price. The bill adds up quickly but I contend there's good value-- unless you need good service to have good value. After three visits, I can say the food is mostly spectacular, but the servers are anything but attentive. It's almost as if they go out of their way to ignore your table even when it's literally on their way. I'm willing to make the tradeoff but not willing to pretend there isn't one.
