Awesome dim sum spot in Chinatown Boston. They offer many dishes ranging from xiu mai to cha siu baos that you'll be able to find a dish that accommodate everyone. Will need to retune to try their other Cantonese dishes such as fried garlic shrimp, salt & pepper pork chop, and veggie stir frys.
Food: house special fried rice, chicken Hong Kong style crispy noodle and fish filet with vegetables. The standout was the crispy noodle. Probably the best we've had in a long time. The other dishes were just ok. We will definitely return when back in Boston to try the dim sum and get the crispy noodle again. Highly recommend. Service: efficient. Ambiance: the tables we're extremely close together. So much so that I could barely squeeze by to fit to get to my seat. It also felt like we were dining with the next table. But don't let that hold you back. Parking: Chinatown so very difficult but we managed to score street parking a couple streets down.
I wish we had the time to go before 3pm so I could order their rice rolls. Their soup dumplings taste really good, but the skin was just a bit thick. The chicken feet are not as good as Ming's or China Star, but still flavorful. I love the pineapple bun, with it's runny custard filling and subtly sweet dough. I would have to try again earlier in the day.
Exceptional food, great service with a unique experience you can only get in Boston's China Chinatown. Dynasty is iconic. Known for a stem sum, we certainly enjoyed the dim sum offerings as well as traditional dishes . We've been there several times. This night, we had a table of 10 including a visit visitor from Germany for the World Cup. Unfortunately, I was so excited about the food. I missed several photos. It is all about the food. You can get some less common dishes. Two of my young adult children had friends who were eager to try the scallion, pancake crab Rangoon they had learned about on social media - it lived up to its reputation albeit a little messy! Dumplings of different varieties were amazing. Salt & pepper calamari was fresh, tender and a big hit! The generous portion of Chinese broccoli with garlic was amazing. The beef filet with pepper was one of the most popular dishes at the table and went quickly - the beef was tender with the right amount of spice. Every single dish was fully consumed. Most of all, it was a great value. Had I gone to the north end or anywhere else in Boston? It would've been 30 to 40% more expensive. We got great quality, food and service and an experience in the process. We didn't stray far except for Jelly fish appetizer that was crunchy with cucumber and a vinegar sauce that was tasty. The service is consistently attentive. As soon as you are seated, we had hot tea and drink orders. As food arrived, the table was always cleared. Nice to have this energy.
When I was planning this trip to Boston with my daughter, eating dim sum in a major city is a must! We eat dim sum at every new city we hit up. Our mother/daughter tradition. So after looking up local Chinese joints to eat at, Dynasty popped up. They also offer street parking so that is what sold me on this joint. Considering Boston's Chinatown looks pretty run down, you should never judge a book by it's cover. Walking in, this joint is really bright and clean. The young man working the register greeted us and got my daughter and I a table. The big list of food items was dropped off and we were ready to get the party started! We ordered a handful of things! It's been a while since we have had dim sum so we were ready to put in work. Our food was starting to slowly trickle out. We started off with the congee. It came out pretty fast since it was probably made earlier waiting to be served. Shortly after the rest of our dumplings were making their way to our table. The congee was simple, savory and comforting. It tasted like my childhood. The fried shrimp rolls were tasty, crispy and savory. I have had similar fried shrimp dumplings like this served with a sauce similar to walnut shrimp. That sauce would have been killer with these rolls. The long rice noodles were silky and filled with char sui. The sauce was more vinegar than sweet which is how I have normally had it. Still good! Har gaw and shu mai were fabulous once they dropped off soy and chili oil to dip them in. The turnip cake will always be one of my favorites. My daughter enjoyed the soup dumplings and the rice in lotus leaf. I was too full to try them. Customer service was ok. They got you what you needed but not a lot of exchange in conversation. I feel like most dim sum experiences are like that. The food was so good! I enjoyed every bit of it with my daughter. Parking might be free but very limited and challenging to find. I'm still happy we got to check this joint out and have a great meal here!
I came here on an early Saturday morning and got the dim sum. They did not have a cart here unfortunately, you order off the menu and they bring it out. I got many dishes and they were all delicious! Loved the soup dumplings and noodle dishes. Staff were quick with cleaning finished plates. I got 8 dishes for two people and it was about perfect with some to spare. It was about $70 dollar. Overall I was happy with the food here! Food(50%): 8.6 Staff/service(25%): 8.5 Value(25%): 6.0 Overall: 8.0/10
The portions for the entrees were huge. This was enough for my wife and I to split comfortably, we still didn't finish it all. Some of the best sweet and sour chicken I've had and the buns were soft and fresh. The restaurant is set up nicely and clean. It took a very long time to be helped and to get our check so I am removing one star. I had to flag down a waiter after we had both finished for more than 20 minutes. But as far as food, I was very happy
Got here right at opening in a Saturday and was seated immediately. I love that everything is made to order. Each dish was FRESH! It started filling up around 10AM with families and friends. Coming from a bao lover you MUST get the pineapple roast pork and custard buns. Everything about them was perfect. Fresh out of the oven, with the perfect amount of sweet crust on the top. This is how I'll remember Boston.
Found this place thanks to Yelp reviews. It's right in the heart of Chinatown and was fantastic. My wife and I enjoyed two different dishes and both were great. I had Har Gow and she had Xiao Long Bow. There was quite a delay in getting our Xiao, but without any prompting from us, the restaurant brought us out what I think was coconut pudding blocks and something else as a nice gesture. Great service, great atmosphere and wonderful food.
First meal in Boston Chinatown was dim sum. The portions are large and the flavors are decent. Bland would be how we would describe it. We tried the "go to" items that included: Shrimp Dumpling Pork and shrimp Shao Mai Ribs with taro Xiao Long Bao Steamed Bbq Pork Bun Overall, it was decent and good enough for a meal. We weren't over the moon with the flavors compared to other people who tried it.
My friend found this place from a viral item they are serving--scallion pancake crab rangoon. They were not on the menu so we were worried we were at the wrong place but they assured they had it. They were super good--gooey and cheesey and still like a crab rangoon. I would come back for these. Someone next to us also ordered them. Now I did still want to try their traditional dishes so we split Xaio Long Baos which were really good soup dumplings. They were fresh and tasty. I also got a general gau chicken which I know is more Americanized Chinese food but got it since it was offered as a plate with rice. It was tasty, a little spicy and a large portion--I had leftovers. I would like to come back to try more of their authentic dishes as the food was of high quality and it was busy inside so that's a good sign! Dynasty was my first dim sum experience 20 years ago and it was great to bring my kids and show them the restaurant that made me seek it out every time we are traveling (there isn't any where we live). The shrimp steamed dumplings are the largest I've ever seen with huge chunks of shrimp. Baked BBQ pork buns are amazing and the fried turnip cakes are a great balance of sweet, salty, and spicy. Restaurant is decorated beautifully and on the smaller side of the other dim sum restaurants which I like.
Food: SO good! The shrimp and chive dumplings were my favorite. The combination of fried dough and congee was also 11/10. Service: No complaints. Food was fast. Ambiance: Very clean, especially the bathrooms. I was impressed.

Let me tell you, this just about revived me when I was in a bad way. Food was so good - the service was fast and lord knows I needed to eat stat since I had been fasting for over 16hrs. Genuinely one of the best dim sum experiences in Boston I've ever had - loved that it felt communal. Folks of all ages were inside, so I could tell it's a neighborhood gem. Shoutout to the manager who cut the wrapped shrimp food item with scissors automatically (thank you!) so I could eat it easier! read more
I saw a lot of recommendations for Dynasty, so I came in with pretty high expectations, but unfortunately the experience was disappointing The pineapple BBQ pork bun was served cold. After we mentioned it, the staff reluctantly took it back to reheat, but it came back extremely hot and soft, with a very obvious microwaved texture The custard bun was also unusual. After removing the paper underneath, the bottom of the bun was noticeably white instead of yellow. I can't say what caused it, but it definitely looked strange The rice noodle roll, spare ribs, and chicken feet were okay, but nothing special read more
Solid dim sum option for Boston Chinatown, which means a lot coming from someone who grew up going to Hei La Moon (their original location). I have gone to Dynasty for brunch (typical dim sum time) and dinner and both were solid options, serving the classic dim sum dishes like turnip cakes, custard buns, cheung fun, chicken feet, hargow, and fun things like minion-themed buns. Service is quick and ambiance is classy and elegant! While it's not my favorite dim sum in the Boston area, it is definitely a great option in Chinatown. Solid dim sum spot in Boston Chinatown. You order off a menu and the food arrives piping hot. The dried shrimp Cheung fun and braised beef brisket on sizzling plate were particularly flavorful. Pig ears were crisp and had the right amount of spice. Xiao long bao (soup dumplings) were juicier than you'd expect of a Cantonese restaurant. Would have been nice if there was shredded fresh ginger in the black vinegar dipping sauce. read more
This restaurant has a lot of positives! The food is well seasoned and delicious! We started with hot and sour soup for two high was served in a huge bowl that would have worked for more than the two of us. It had a nice peppery tang that I would definitely recommend. The kimchi was fresh which I really enjoyed. My shrimp and chive dumplings were heavy on the chives. The overall flavor was good but if you don't love chives I wouldn't recommend them. The service and serving sizes were also quite good. The interior was clean. The hot tea was loose leaf and fantastic. Overall I would highly recommended this place read more
Sit down restaurant where it's a minimum 10$ per person, but after informing the waiter we just wanted the crab Rangoon he suggested just placing an order to go. 16$ for four Rangoons but oh my gawd. It was cheesy & crispy, and definitely explodes in your mouth. It spills out the sides so careful when eating, but it was so delicious. The location was nice but service was very dry. read more
I have been sleeping on this place! My new favorite dim sum spot in Chinatown. It's casual, located in Chinatown, with shared tables. They take credit card. My favorite item was the Shrimp Noodle Roll which was truly the best version of this dish I've had--I could just eat this and be happy! They put the biggest shrimp in and really fill it up, and also have a really yummy sauce. The shrimp and chive dumplings are also yummy. The shrimp and fish roe dish was also good and filled with shrimp but not as flavorful. The congee was also a sleeper hit! We got a plain version since I don't eat pork and it was sooo flavorful. I'm not a huge congee person but this was great! Additionally, my friend with a nut/peanut allergy was able to eat safely here! We've come multiple times and the staff has always taken the allergy seriously and helped us talk to the kitchen. read more
I wasn't super impressed during my latest visit to Dynasty... I had dined here once before ~2 years ago for a special event and really enjoyed my experience so the expectations were maybe too high. First of all, the arrangement they had for queueing for tables was a bit confusing and unclear. We were given a slip of a paper with a number on it, which the hostess eventually called out after about 10 minutes. I wish they had a more seamless system for handling this (in an app or taking phone numbers instead). We ordered lots of dishes to share.. pineapple buns with roast pork, the viral crab rangoon scallion pancake, soup dumplings, rice rolls with ribs, etc. The standout for me was definitely the crab rangoon scallion pancakes. I 100% get the hype! It's ooey and gooey and perfect for any crab rangoon lover. I was however pretty disappointed in the pineapple buns (one of my favorite dishes) and soup dumplings, which honestly just tasted like they were frozen and reheated from the grocery store. The service was also very absent and it took awhile for us to wave someone down so we could pay our bill. Not sure if we visited on an off day or something, but I wasn't very impressed. read more
First time last weekend I took my elder parents, husband and little one to try. I stopped by on the way to check on the restaurant really quick as I am not so familiar with its location. Pretty busy when I came in and was told all of their 11 tables are full. I was pretty disappointed as I want something new for my family to try when I was visiting Boston. Luckily, very last min, the young man at the counter able to get us in ( thank you so much, my family were so happy!). Food are delicious, same quality as other Dim Sum place I usually eat. Restaurant looks new & clean, staffs speak English pretty well. Chicken fried rice is yummy, huge portion. We all shared that plate. I definitely will be back when i will take my other son to Boston again. Total is around $51 for a huge chicken fried rice plate & 4 dim sum plates, awesome price! read more
Loved it! We went to Boston's Chinatown last night to have dinner at Dynasty. One of the four of us is Chinese and she knew what to order and was able to speak (Cantonese) with the staff. We ordered a couple of mains and then a number of Dim Sum dishes. I enjoyed them all. The service here was very quick. Dishes came out fast, fresh pots of hot tea magically kept appearing. Finished dishes were quickly cleared from the table. And we felt for all the food we got, the fresh, authentic flavors of it all - that the cost was quite reasonable. I'd return to Dynasty! read more
I came here for dinner with my family and had a positive experience. The xo noodles, mapo tofu and clay pot beef were my favorite dishes! The service was a little bit sporadic but they were pretty busy even for a Thursday night. read more

I happened to book a hostel room in the neighborhood near Chinatown, and after doing a bit of exploring during the day, I got hungry, so I checked out Dynasty. It was ok. I ordered shrimp har gow, Xiao long bao, shu mai, and other items. The food tasted very plain compared to other places. The service was great, and I loved the waiters and staff for being super helpful. It was just myself and maybe two other groups, so it was pretty quiet. I wanted this place to be really good, but I just can't say I loved it. read more
**Delicious Dim Sum in Chinatown!** We had a great meal at Dynasty Restaurant in Boston's Chinatown! The shu mai were fantastic--perfectly steamed with flavorful filling. The BBQ pork buns were equally delicious, with tender, sweet pork wrapped in soft, fluffy dough. Fair warning: the portions are generous! We ordered what seemed like a reasonable amount and ended up completely stuffed. It's definitely a good value for the quality and quantity you get. If you're craving authentic dim sum in Chinatown, Dynasty is a solid choice. We left satisfied and happy. We were looking for some good dim sum in Chinatown and found this place. It has a clean, modern vibe which is unusual for legit dim sum places. You order off a checklist menu, so no carts rolling around, but everything came out hot and fresh. This is what we ordered. 1. Char siu sou bbq pork flaky pastry - OMG. These were so buttery, flaky and melt in your mouth. I wish I got more orders. This was by far my favorite dish. I'm still dreaming about it. 2. Har Gow Shrimp Dumplings - these were solid. Piping hot and delicious. 3. Siu mai pork and shrimp dumplings - also solid. Large and juicy. 4. Bean curd rolls with pork in oyster sauce - I didn't love these. They were kind of chewy. 5. BBQ pork noodles rolls - very light and yummy 6. Xiao long bao soup dumplings - these were not too soupy but had good flavor. 7. Molten egg yolk buns--These were surprisingly delicious. The molten yolk oozed out when I punctured them. 8. Red bean minion buns - almost too cute to eat, but they were yummy The service was quick and friendly, but we had to ask for a lot of things because there were no condiments on the table. Parking in that area is a nightmare, but that's Chinatown for you. I'll definitely be back the next time I'm in town. read more

We were visiting from out of town and wanted to check out Chinatown. We chose this place due to the high reviews but overall, food was just mid. The restaurant itself is big and spacious. We arrived on a Wednesday afternoon and did not have to wait. Service was quick. We ordered some of the dim sum staples like har gow, sieu mai, tripe, vegetables, shrimp rolls, pork spare ribs, etc. I will say that the portion they give is bigger than what we're used to back home in Los Angeles but I find the flavors lacking and bland. Nothing to really write home about but worth checking out if in the area. Price seems to be fair. read more
My friend was feeling for some dimsum, so we ended up here. We didn't wait too long. We ordered the T4 Quail Egg Shao Mai (new to us), T7 Beef Tripe with Tofu Puff (always love to get tripe, but had to try with tofu puff), T12 Bean Curd Rolls with Pork in Ouster Sauce, T23 Fried Dough Noodle Rolls, T32 Poached Seasonal Vegetable (needed some veggies), T8 Spare Ribs with Taro (never had it cooked with taro), and tea to accompany everything. Everything was cooked fine, but the flavoring wasn't there for me. It tasted too light for me. In addition, we didn't get the Spare Ribs with Taro. However, that worked out in the end since we were getting pretty full. Unless I'm really craving dimsum, I probably wouldn't come back when I am in the area again. read more
This is the new and revamped Dynasty on Tyler street in Chinatown/boston. The place is clean, and seems to offer dim sum all day? We were there on a late weekend afternoon. They give you picture menus and a pencil so you can order dim sum, then they bring it to your table. No dim sum carts, at least not during our visit. Parking in Chinatown is always a difficult challenge. Food was okay. Nothing spectacular that warrants a call out, but not bad either. This place also offers traditional lunch and dinner too, for which we did not try this time. read more

I loved the fried dough rice noodle rolls and molten egg yolk sesame balls. I also enjoyed the scallion noodle rolls, custard rolls, and red bean minion buns. The steamed vegetables were a little boring. My review has pictures of those dishes!
Is dim sum available for dinner?
I was in there the other night having a Chow Foon and brisket soup which was absolutely delicious and I believe they said they stop dim sum at 2 PM and they have it every day
