Dynasty is perfectly good, authentic Cantonese. The XO, xiao long bao, shrimp noodle roll, and barbecue bao buns were all good. Definitely order the XO rolled noodles; I can't remember the last time I tried something new, that I enjoyed as much as this dish. My one qualm about the experience is the service--it wasn't terrible, but the server didn't check in on us, when we had obviously finished eating. My friend found this place from a viral item they are serving--scallion pancake crab rangoon. They were not on the menu so we were worried we were at the wrong place but they assured they had it. They were super good--gooey and cheesey and still like a crab rangoon. I would come back for these. Someone next to us also ordered them. Now I did still want to try their traditional dishes so we split Xaio Long Baos which were really good soup dumplings. They were fresh and tasty. Dynasty was my first dim sum experience 20 years ago and it was great to bring my kids and show them the restaurant that made me seek it out every time we are traveling (there isn't any where we live). The shrimp steamed dumplings are the largest I've ever seen with huge chunks of shrimp. Baked BBQ pork buns are amazing and the fried turnip cakes are a great balance of sweet, salty, and spicy. I have been sleeping on this place! My new favorite dim sum spot in Chinatown. It's casual, located in Chinatown, with shared tables. They take credit card. My favorite item was the Shrimp Noodle Roll which was truly the best version of this dish I've had--I could just eat this and be happy! They put the biggest shrimp in and really fill it up, and also have a really yummy sauce. The shrimp and chive dumplings are also yummy. The shrimp and fish roe dish was also good and filled with shrimp but not as flavorful. The congee was also a sleeper hit! We got a plain version since I don't eat pork and it was sooo flavorful. I wasn't super impressed during my latest visit to Dynasty... I had dined here once before ~2 years ago for a special event and really enjoyed my experience so the expectations were maybe too high. First of all, the arrangement they had for queueing for tables was a bit confusing and unclear. We were given a slip of a paper with a number on it, which the hostess eventually called out after about 10 minutes. I wish they had a more seamless system for handling this (in an app or taking phone numbers instead). We ordered lots of dishes to share.. pineapple buns with roast pork, the viral crab rangoon scallion pancake, soup dumplings, rice rolls with ribs, etc. The standout for me was definitely the crab rangoon scallion pancakes. I 100% get the hype! It's ooey and gooey and perfect for any crab rangoon lover. First time last weekend I took my elder parents, husband and little one to try. I stopped by on the way to check on the restaurant really quick as I am not so familiar with its location. Pretty busy when I came in and was told all of their 11 tables are full. I was pretty disappointed as I want something new for my family to try when I was visiting Boston. You order off a checklist menu, so no carts rolling around, but everything came out hot and fresh. This is what we ordered. 1. Char siu sou bbq pork flaky pastry - OMG. These were so buttery, flaky and melt in your mouth. I wish I got more orders. This was by far my favorite dish. I'm still dreaming about it. 2. Har Gow Shrimp Dumplings - these were solid. Piping hot and delicious. 3. Siu mai pork and shrimp dumplings - also solid. Large and juicy. 4. Bean curd rolls with pork in oyster sauce - I didn't love these. They were kind of chewy. 5. BBQ pork noodles rolls - very light and yummy 6. Xiao long bao soup dumplings - these were not too soupy but had good flavor. 7. Molten egg yolk buns--These were surprisingly delicious. We arrived on a Wednesday afternoon and did not have to wait. Service was quick. We ordered some of the dim sum staples like har gow, sieu mai, tripe, vegetables, shrimp rolls, pork spare ribs, etc. I will say that the portion they give is bigger than what we're used to back home in Los Angeles but I find the flavors lacking and bland. Visited Dynasty for the first time this evening. I was surprised how big it was inside, considering what I found as I walked up to the front door. The restaurant gave the impression of a higher-end Cantonese Restaurant than I typically frequent in Chinatown. I really enjoyed the experience. I had a beef brisket dish with rolled fried crispy rice noodles, peanuts, peppers, and a tasty sauce. Also, half a Peking Duck was at the table along with a clay pot seafood tofu dish. All dishes came across as quality and tasty. The Peking duck skin was nicely crisp with little fat left on it, it was quite a treat. The cut-up duck meat pieces were also relatively clean of fat, yet tender and moist. Making and eating the little sandwiches, with sauce, scallions, and cucumber on super-thin pancakes was delicious. Before I left, I took a quick look at their live fish tanks. I was very pleased to see they were crystal clear and very clean. They also had some interesting seafood to try. We ordered the T4 Quail Egg Shao Mai (new to us), T7 Beef Tripe with Tofu Puff (always love to get tripe, but had to try with tofu puff), T12 Bean Curd Rolls with Pork in Ouster Sauce, T23 Fried Dough Noodle Rolls, T32 Poached Seasonal Vegetable (needed some veggies), T8 Spare Ribs with Taro (never had it cooked with taro), and tea to accompany everything. We arrived early on a Sunday morning and were seated right away--no wait at all for our party of five. Wishing our menu had pictures like some other dim sum places but hey this is Chinatown so we were happy to explore. Tables were very close together and the place is not overly spacious. Bathrooms were clean. We settled for ( dishes to start and they ended up being plenty. The highlight of our meal were the brisket beef with noodles (sauce is delicious and although the brisket was somewhat chewy but the sauce made up for it) and the shrimp dumplings (had plenty of shrimp). They have all the dim sum classics (shrimp dumplings, soup dumplings, sweet and savory buns) as well as regular menus you can order off of (we saw other tables doing this), but I think you have to specially request a non-dim sum menu for that.
