Excellent and attentive service for sure. Ordered 4 items. 1. Singapore rice noodles with curry sauce Curry smell overpowering this dish and makes it hard to enjoy. Not spicy though 2. Pork and shrimp with chives dumplings Ingredients tastes good but not the skin as it like musky or powdery skin 3. Radish cake Disappointed as looks delicious yet it's also mushy 4. House special roast pork bun Favorite of all time. Came hot and delicious. Recommend.

Amazing food, but not very good service. We asked the waiter to help us take a group photo, we asked three times, he was right there collecting plates and putting on new dishes, but he pretend didn't heard us at all. It was very weird and kind of ruined our happy ambiance a little. We were there to have a good time, not taking attitude from a grumpy server. The food was absolutely delicious. But let's be honest, there are a lot of great Chinese food in this area, to stand out needs good dinning environment or good services. The environment is limited by being very popular, it was crowded and loud. But the service can be a little bit more friendlier. If he responded he's busy or even don't provide photo taking service is fine, but completely ignore customers is very impolite and embarrassing. The 4 stars are for the delicious food and other very busy but very kind kind servers. You can see in the photos all the dishes are absolutely scrumptious. I will go back to try it again, maybe during a time it's not too busy. Hopefully next time will be a better experience.

    Dim sum!

Fun fact: Boston's Chinatown is the last standing Chinatown in New England! My parents love visiting Chinatowns when they're on vacation, so a trip to Boston wouldn't be complete without it. We stumbled upon Jumbo Seafood and thought they weren't open at first (hours incorrect on Yelp), but saw another party walk through! We got an assortment of dim sum. All tasty! The shrimp dumplings in particular were large and plump! Just a FYI: we tried to order chow fun and pea shoots but were told those items weren't available until 11am, so it seems in the early morning hours it's limited to the steamed and fried dim sum only. Service as expected at a Chinese restaurant: curt but got us what we wanted when asked. At $75 including tip for 4 people, this was a great value!

Pure-blooded Chinese, here, and I can wholeheartedly say that Jumbo's one of the better restaurants in Boston's Chinatown. The food is especially delicious, with some unique dishes that you definitely won't find in any other place! Service and ambiance are just about the same as any other Chinese restaurant, which, if you don't know, is something we don't really pay to much attention towards. The Yu choy in supreme broth with garlic; you know, it was fine. Nothing to write home about. It honestly just tasted like any other vegetable dish; fibrous, leafy, but HOLY was it expensive! The stir fried silver fish, though, chef's kiss! Thin slivers of fried silver fish deliver concentrated seafoody flavors that just work extremely well with the fragrant, aromatic chives and vegetables. The jellyfish added a fun snappy texture that I personally enjoyed. Finally, the star of the show: that MASSIVE seafood coconut "paella." First off, that thing was DELICIOUS! Tons of seafood, from clams to shrimp, enveloped in a thick, coconut sauce that was almost like a gravy, all served with a generous portion of rice mixed with salted egg yolk. This could honestly feed 3 to 4 people! This is absolutely something you must order. While it's nothing like a paella, it works well as a seafood stew/curry that is just bursting with flavors from the sea. Also, for around $36 for that massive dish??? With all that seafood, too??? STEAL!!!

We came here expecting a greater selection of seafood such as scallops, oysters, lobster and such but we were disappointed to not find steamed oysters, scallops and the lobster tank looked empty. The service is abysmal. I had to flag someone to take our order and to pay. We order the fish fillet and tofu casserole and stir fried on-choy. The on-choy was fine. The casserole was on the salty side and the tofu was fried and deflated which suggests that it is old. The fish fillet is heavily battered which we would not have ordered if we had known. I was leaning towards not tipping him because he really didn't wait on our table but I didn't want to be hassled so I tipped meagerly at the risk of being harassed. I'm pretty sure they charge for tea even though you don't ask for it. Each bowl of rice is $2. The ambiance is fine but the food quality, inattentive service and lack of fresh seafood menu selections left me disappointed. You are much better off going to Gaga Seafood which is a block away. This was a regrettable miss for us.

The food, I do not know. The Ambiance, probably ok. The service, absolutely horrible. So I posted this review on google and this is what that person replied and he is the owner of the restaurant. No wonder I was shocked that how can the owner hired someone like him. It makes sense now since he is the owner, I bet he won't hire himself as an employee. Anyway, here is the brief review I posted on google: "At January 11th 12:54pm I wanted to ordered a walnut shrimp, a dude pickup the phone and doesn't seem to understand what I was saying. Maybe it was a signal problem, who knows. That said, instead of asking for clarity, he just hung up. I called back and asked for walnut shrimp, he said okok and hung up. I called again to confirm if he actually ordered it, he impatiently said "yea yea I did." How would I know if you did, because normally you would give the price and time but he just said "yea yea, I did." impatiently. I wouldn't want to be there and have my order not ordered. Also, with this poor customer service, I wouldn't be surprised if he would spit on your food. Therefore decided to order from someplace else." After I posted this review, 16 hours later, he replied "I confirmed the order with you and said will be ready about 15 mins. You called back and asked for your order was already send. I said yes and told you picked up 15 mins, you never asked for how much and only asked for cash discount. I said no and you just hanged up the phone. You didn't come to pick up the order and I tried to call you to pick up the order and you don't even bother to answer my call. Now you complained about our service..You are such an idiot. " First of all, he hung up twice on me. Second of all, I hung up because I wouldn't want to hear his impatient voice somewhat yelling at me. I am a customer, I don't want to be treat it that way. This whole time, I remained nice and polite. Lastly, even with the all unpleasant experience, I simply stating the fact without calling people name such as idiot. What kind of restaurant customer service called people name, especially I remained nice and polite all this time and you just hung up on me twice. I don't have to say much, as you can see the way he talks to customer. Shrug* FYI, I just realized this is my first 1-star review. Maybe their food tastes good, which could explain why the owner has such an ego. That said, I don't care how good the food is; I shouldn't be treated like crap, no one should. Perhaps he's the owner of several big restaurants and is used to compliments, so he feels entitled to act however he wants. Maybe I just happened to call when he was in a bad mood, and he took it out on me. Plus he is used to verbal abuse and personal attack to others without any consequences, that is why he could even called people names as the representative of the restaurant in the review. Lastly, I asked about the cash discount in the first and second calls (which he hung up on me twice,) not the third. In the third call, I simply wanted to confirm my order. Also, I did asked for how much on the first call. Anyway horrible, horrible experience.

Came on a weekday dinner with some friends. Service was great! Food is good too! Everything was phenomenal. I highly recommend this place if you're looking for traditional Cantonese food.

    蒜蓉粉丝蒸贵妃蚌,猪肚鸡,鱼香茄子

We came here for 猪肚鸡. It's not bad. They cooked it in a pot on the table and then took out the ingredients so that they were not over cooked. They also have sauce for dipping. I would prefer they put a bit more white pepper and a bit more 猪肚. For half a chicken it's more than $50. So it's not cheap. We then ordered 蒜蓉粉丝蒸贵妃蚌. It's a bit overcooked and it's a bit bland. The 鱼香茄子 is not 鱼香茄子 at all. The dish tastes sour. They probably added too much black vinegar. The service is good, but the food is ok.

The waiter who denied us to make orders then take the order from another group.

This restaurant is one of my favorite in town. I always go here after clubbing. But this time, as usual, we came at 2am, we ordered food, and one of my friends wanted to order more and the waiter , who is wearing the white shirt, told us the kitchen closed!!! However, later on, we saw another group came in, they still took their order!! What is the point here???

This restaurant was recommended to us by some locals and the dim sum was excellent, would recommend to others.

We enjoyed our Thanksgiving dim sum! This is a busy Chinese restaurant in Boston's Chinatown that serves great food. My son is attending college in Boston and missed good Chinese food. This satisfied his craving and we all enjoyed the dishes. The restaurant is clean with good service. We ordered a variety of dim sum as well as some veggies and noodles. Yum!

Family style Chinese restaurant with many options. I ordered the salt and pepper calamari and beef chow fun noodles. I love coming here with a group since they are generous with portions. The staff are also friendly. I will be stopping here whenever I'm in Chinatown.

I wish they had a more seamless system for handling this (in an app or taking phone numbers instead). We ordered lots of dishes to share.. pineapple buns with roast pork, the viral crab rangoon scallion pancake, soup dumplings, rice rolls with ribs, etc. The standout for me was definitely the crab rangoon scallion pancakes. I 100% get the hype! It's ooey and gooey and perfect for any crab rangoon lover. I was however pretty disappointed in the pineapple buns (one of my favorite dishes) and soup dumplings, which honestly just tasted like they were frozen and reheated from the grocery store. The service was also very absent and it took awhile for us to wave someone down so we could pay our bill. Not sure if we visited on an off day or something, but I wasn't very impressed.
