    Dimsum menu

I have not had dimsum in very long time. I was told that China Pearl serves a very good dimsum by my cousins. So here goes. I ordered siumai, har gaw (shrimp dumpling), rice noodle with beef, sesame balls with lotus paste, and steamed tripe with ginger. They were all delicious, rice noodle is a bit chewy but tastes good regardless. Servers usually come around with cart, but most of them only speaks either Cantonese and/or Chinese Mandarin. Be sure to ask for their menu and point out what you want if language is an issue. The restaurant is huge and family friendly. It is almost a size of wedding venue. Despite its large venue, the ambiance is also intimate for small party (1-4 persons).

One of my favorite Dim Sum restaurants in the area! The restaurant is extremely spacious and well decorated. Plenty of parking available so never an issue when compared to the Boston options for Dim Sum. The line is usually long for dim sum, but it moves quick. There is a wide variety of selections on the carts and it's always fresh from the kitchen! Whenever we are craving dim sum we always go to China Pearl! Bonus: there is an Asian supermarket next door and you can do your grocery shopping after! The only thing I wish they provided as a standard on every table is soy sauce, chili oil, and hot mustard. You have to ask them for the sauces, and when you do, they provide you with a very small to-go container, even if you have a party of over 6 people. A little stingy in my opinion. Overall though it's a great place to have dim sum. The food is incredible and the carts come around really fast!

Last weekend, my friends and I had some time to kill before a wedding ceremony. We were already there at China Pearl so we decided to give their dim sum a try. Shu Mai - it was actually pretty decent. The flavor was good but it did taste like it was over cooked a bit. The yellow outer layer (wonton skin) was a little too soft. Shrimp noodle - definitely over cooked lol it breaks when you try to pick it up. Chicken feet - flavorful and soft. I would get it again. Overall, I probably wouldn't come here for dim sum. But you should come and try yourself!

Three-star is very accurate: good dim sum but the ordering/cart system could be improved. Very similar experience like the location in Chinatown in Boston. Bumping it to 4 stars for two reasons: weekend dim sum start at 9 am (not 10 am like most places) and ample parking. The inside of the restaurant is spacious. It's a transitional push cart dim sum style, where you wait and pick what you want. I went right at opening, and waited until about 9:15 am when the first cart came out. And other carts followed after, but it wasn't until at least 10:30 am that more carts were going around the restaurant. Similarly to the location in Chinatown, it's not exactly easy to flag down wait staff members. If you get to talk to them once, make sure to put in your requests all at once (e.g., more water, an order of something that's not in the cart yet, check, etc). The food is good, but I've had better dim sum. It gets the job done and satisfies your dim sum craving. It's family friendly, and you will see tons of groups here. That said, dim sum is getting SO expensive now! The inflation is real! Also for air quality, it's in the 1000 range for CO2 read at around 10:30 am. Despite the high ceiling, it's just simply too many people. Parking is directly outside and it's free. So it's a huge plus eating here compared to Chinatown (parking).

This our go-to place for dimsum lunch on a weekend before heading to the asian grocery. Our kids love the shrimp dumplings and shrimp noodles. We haven't tried all the dimsum varieties, but so far, everything's great. The only downside here is that you'll need to queue up quite a bit. It gets bus

Our family had a baby party here (100 days old) for a set of twins. The food was really good in terms of tastes, presentation and portion. The lobster must've been at least 7lbs and huge. Its sliced up lobster meat over a bed of fruit salad, topped with mayo (served cold). All the other traditional plates were good as well. Keep China Pearl in mind not just for dim sum, but also for their dinner! The restaurant also has been renovated a bit and looked clean-ish. Plenty of parking in the huge lot.

The food has always been decent. The service is good. The dim sum is yummy. They did a great job doing our wedding. Everything went so smooth. The food tasted good.

I've been to China pearl for dim sum a few times but prices really have gone up. For 3 people, it was about $100. We came on a Sunday morning and it was busy. They do push carts, however there weren't many carts going around so I saw a few people getting up to go to the carts themselves to get food. The "other yummies" food stand near the back has eggplant, clams, shrimp, etc, but was more than half empty most of the time. Food quality is ok. I wouldn't go out of my way to go to this location. They updated their interior in the last several years and it looks nicer than before.

Went there on a Monday for lunch and it was easy to get a table right away. Not many customers around 11:30am. Got a few dim sum items (Shiu Mai, steamed BBQ buns, Glutenous rice tamale) and a pan fried noodle dish with chicken. The carts roll with dozens of choices so you can easily find something to delight your heart. Everything was delicious. The staff was polite and friendly. This place can get really packed during peak hours and days, so be ready to wait in line if you do visit during those times.

It's been a while since I have been here. I love dim sum but it's hard to find a decent place that's consistent. This isn't that place that usually consistent. However the last three times I went the service was on point. The place looks a lot cleaner and better than it use too. They actually push carts around for dim sum. The food itself is on point. I only gauge dimsum on 3 bars. Bad, great which is very rare for me, and very good which is most dim sum places for me, because a lot of it taste the same for me. This place has improved , so I would go again when I get my craving.

Honestly a really disappointing experience. I remembered this place more fondly in my childhood memories. To begin, the food was definitely frozen and nothing special in terms of quality especially with the premium they're charging you. However, the service was also terrible. The lady serving us put our calamari order in wrong and when we asked to change it she blatantly told another staff member to ignore our request in Cantonese thinking we couldn't understand. I'd probably rate this place lower if it weren't for nostalgia.

Social distance tables with masks. Few carts with all the essentials. Feeling safe with yummy food.

Haven't been here since before Covid started and glad to see it still up and running. Carts were back on the floor which I imagine they had changed while Covid was more intense. Less carts than usual and the hot bar where you'll find turnip cakes, clams and other assortment of freshly grilled foods but I know they will be back! You'll still find you Dim Sum favorites like Shui Mai, chicken feet and short ribs along with a fried selection of egg rolls, crab claw puff and fried shrimp. Dessert of course has to be the sweet silken tofu to finish the meal off. Glad to see this local business continue best they can to serve great food and provide excellent service.

My go to Dim Sum Restaurant since it is not in Boston and they have plenty of parking so that is a positive. The restaurant went thru a renovation and looks more mature and modern. They do the cart style dim sum. Food is still good and good in portions. Prices might have gone up slightly, but service is great, open floor plan with high ceilings. I always love the siu mai, beef noodle, congee, and spare ribs.

At a dim sum restaurant, that guts the entire point of being there. Instead of ordering what I wanted, I was left picking from what happened to still be available, which is not how this cuisine is supposed to work. The food itself did nothing to redeem the situation. Dumplings were dull and lifeless, with uneven textures and no real depth of flavor. Nothing tasted freshly made or particularly cared for. Even the tea was bad. Not weak, not average, but actively disappointing. Essentially hot water with barely any tea leaves. This is not a new place working out kinks. It has been around for years, which makes the lack of execution harder to excuse. At best, this felt like a restaurant coasting on inertia. I left wishing I had gone elsewhere. One final note: as others have mentioned, this restaurant is cash only, which would be fine if the experience justified the inconvenience. It did not.

It's so much more spacious, the staff is way friendlier, and the food is just as good--if not better. The dim sum staples are an absolute must: the shrimp and celery bean curd roll, rice rolls, shu mai, and harkow are all perfection. If you're with a bigger group, their family-style shareables like the house fried rice and stir-fried Chinese broccoli are top-tier pairings. There's plenty of parking (though it definitely fills up during peak hours!), and the vibe is super family-friendly. It was about 2 hours before closing time on a Sunday night, and only 3 or 4 tables in the huge dining room were occupied, which spooked me a little. Turned out we had nothing to fear---the food was excellent, really on par if not better than anything from Chinatown where we usually hit the New Golden Gate restaurant when hankering for some Cantonese food. Best of all, none of the parking headaches of Chinatown! Only downside to this place is the table service---food was brought out fairly fast after ordering, but servers had to be flagged down to get their attention throughout, otherwise they were off socializing with each other on the other side of the space most of the time. We normally don't expect super duper service at Asian restaurants but this was a bit worse than usual. Very elegant and attractive space inside might make you fear for inflated pricing, but the prices were actually pretty reasonable given the quality and quantity of food you get. Am planning to come back, despite the lackadaisical service.

Ground Pork W.preserved Vegetables Clay Pot Rice梅菜肉餅煲仔飯: The English translation is already a bit misleading. This dish should be pork patty with preserved mustard greens, but what was served didn't match either component. First, this was not meicai梅菜(preserved mustard greens). Proper meicai should be dark brown and fibrous even after soaking, whereas this consisted of pale yellow granules, both in appearance and taste much closer to dongcai冬菜 (preserved Chinese cabbages). While dongcai can appear in some clay pot rice dishes, this was clearly not what it should be. Second, this was not a pork patty. The meat was simply loose minced pork scattered on top of the rice, without any mixing or shaping. As a result, it lacked the cohesion, tenderness, and springy texture that define a proper pork patty. There was even a slight sour note, which felt off. Third, the "claypot sauce" was surprisingly slightly viscous, like Singaporean dark soy sauce, and had a strong ginger flavor. I also tried the rice roll sauce; it had a normal soy sauce texture, but the ginger flavor was still very strong, meaning it was still not authentic. Given the stated Taishan background, the lack of traditional structure and technique in this clay pot rice was quite surprising. Compared to Clay Pot Cafe in Boston Chinatown, which offers a way more authentic execution, the difference becomes even more apparent. That said, to be fair, the rice itself was decent: grains were distinct, and there was a noticeable wok aroma. Milk Tea: The old menu called it "Hong Kong style milk tea," while the new menu simply said "milk tea," which seems more accurate. It was bitter at first, then intensely sweet, not fragrant at all--very weird. As someone who grew up in Guangdong, it's honestly frustrating to see it reduced to something so off. If you're looking for an authentic Cantonese clay pot rice experience, this would likely be a disappointing stop.
