Fried cauliflower with lemon sauce and toasted almonds

It's been a while since I ate at Rothchilds. Brought my visiting relatives because my nephew missed the excellent food! Wait staff was warm and friendly and attentive. Comfortable and homey ambiance. We loved everything we ordered: their roasted cauliflower will convert you from meat lover to veggie lover! Excellent salmon, burgers, lamb chops. Their complimentary warm bread with dip is delicious! Highly recommend!

The food is amazing. The Syrian kebab, grilled eggplant, steak and egg are all delightful. My favorite was the chicken kebab. So juicy and tender. I'm also grateful that they are so careful and serious about my daughter's allergies. They confirmed the allergens and even tried to rule out cross contamination. They also suggested us to get Ciabatta bread because the table bread has quite a few types of seeds/nuts. The Ciabatta bread was freshly made and was delicious that my toddler finished almost the whole loaf.

TLDR: Neighborhood spot in Great Neck. Middle Eastern fare with some creative twists. Brussel sprouts caesar, chicken schnitzel. Wandered on a weekend and was pleasantly surprised. It's a small neighborhood restaurant in Great Neck. The brusell sprouts caesar was crispy, a bit of saltiness with the caesar but the dried canberries was a nice touch. Fried cauliflower was good as well, bright acidity and lots of flavors. For mains, the burger was a good size portion and it's cool how you can mix both regular and sweet potato fries. Schnitzel was my favorite. It's a very large schnitzel with mashed and definitely ask for some schug. The chicken was tender, breaded well but a good size. I especially loved adding the schug to the chicken and the mashed too. By the end I was dipping the chicken in the mashed with the schug. Definitely will return.

Great AC! And pretty good coffee, actually. My Caesar salad was quite good, but had I known adding grilled chicken would be $12, I might not have added it! Nonetheless, clean and friendly. And bottomless coffee.

Amazing Mediterranean brunch spot! The shakshuka hit the spot, and the Rothschild's breakfast was just as delicious as it looked. Despite being super busy, the service was outstanding. Highly recommend!

It has a great atmosphere ,great food, and the waiter and waitress were amazingly respectful when my food came and there were stuff I didn't like on it they took it back with no problem at all food, atmosphere and service great =great place as an Israeli the food tasted perfect

The best restaurant in town! Nutritious and delicious! Comfortable environment and good service!

I recently went for dinner with a small group of- it was the first time for all of us. I didn't have high expectations, but was very pleased with our meal and the service. The restaurant is on the small side (I suggest a reservation), but very attentive, and the bar area is very cute and modern. Our waitress was very attentive, and everything we ordered was delicious, including my spicy cucumber margarita. To start we shared the falafel platter, large enough to be shared, and the fire roasted eggplant in a green herb tahini sauce (I think that's what it was) - tender and delicious! I had the special brussel sprout Cesar salad w/ added grilled chicken, and others ordered the salmon and enjoyed it. We didn't order dessert, but I'll definitely try something sweet next time!

Matcha lemonade and hummus with mushrooms

My partner and I enjoyed our weekday lunch at Rothchild. We had some of the best falafel we have had in this part of the state. The hummus with mushrooms, while seemingly simple, was also satisfying. I'd suggest splurging for the sweet potato fries, as well. Sleek feel. A teeny bit impersonal waiter, but that's ok for lunch. Robust menu. Lots to try. Pricey but on point for the type of establishment.

Great service from Olga! Everything was delicious except for the fried cauliflower which was too mushy. I would recommend the beet salad and the bronzino.

Oysters are a must get! Has a small kick and super flavorful.

Can't beat great food paired with even better service! This place is a must go whenever you are nearby and looking for some great southern cooking. The smokes meats were all moist, but lacks some of the deep smoke flavor. The Western Steak and Duck was by far the best bite I had this visit. Both dishes were tasty art on a plate. Carefully prepared and perfect temp. The peach cobbler was absolutely amazing finish to the meal. Definitely will come again!

    Shashuka

Really lovely spot to grab brunch or lunch. I had this place bookmarked for quite some time but planned my long run so that I can treat myself to a really nice meal after all those calories burned. And it was so worth it. The staff was so warm and welcoming the moment that I walked in to get a table outdoors--each and every one of them. I got the Shashuka and although I'd never had it before and wish there were some more spices that give it an extra kick, it was very delicious. Love that it was served in a cast iron skillet that was pippin hot--straight from the oven--when it was brought out. I don't remember if I actually finished it but got through a lot of it and I could still taste the tomatoes in my burps in the aftermath for a good hour! The bread and balsamic vinegar and oil that they served were also winners and were great complements to the Shashuka, otherwise I wouldn't have known if it was to be eaten by itself or with bread. Prices were very reasonable and not one menu item was $20, which is almost unheard of these days. I'll definitely be back for lunch soon!

I joined a friend for brunch at Rothchild's and it did not disappoint! It's a casual and comfortable space. The food was delicious and the portions are huge. I ordered the Rothchild's breakfast. You can choose 3 fillings if you opt for the omelette. It comes with a huge assortment of sides/spreads. Tahini, pesto, labneh, feta, cucumber tomato salad and more! My friend loved the shakshouka! The servers were very friendly and made sure to check if we had any allergies. Rothchild's is a hidden gem! Definitely give it a try.

Do you still have shakshuka on your menu?

I was there today and they did have it on the menu.

    Do they serve jachnun?

    Yes on the weekends

    Is there a parking lot?

There's no restaurant-owned parking lot. However during weekdays it's not hard to find parking spot on two sides of street. Even without street parking space, there's a district municipal parking two blocks away; a quarter for 30 minutes.

What time is breakfast served until on Saturday? Is the shakshuka available all day or just during breakfast hours?

Rothchilds yummy shakshuka is available until 4:00.

When will you be open past 4p?

    Yes!

I believe the menu is kosher too, in terms of dietary considerations. The baba ghanoush was excellent, it had a rich texture and a slightly sweet aftertaste that was very unique. I ate it with the veggies served alongside, as well as some rice later on in the meal, but honestly could have wolfed it down on its own. And then for mains, I had the fesenjun, a sweet stew with chunks of marinated chicken, served with a plate of rice. It was out of this world, with a thick consistency and lots of meat throughout. If you're up for a classic Persian dish and feel adventurous to try a sweet stew, I strongly recommend the fesenjun. And then throughout the meal, they kept bringing complimentary dishes that were outstanding. From the tahdig with ghormeh sabzeh on top, to the plate of hummus, to the fruit that came with our teas for dessert, all such a nice touch! Colbeh is excellent, come hungry and you'll be very pleased.

We had sigara borek and hummus as appetizers, and the hummus in particular was so fresh and flavorful - definitely the best hummus I have ever had. We ordered a couple of entrees and unfortunately the wrong food came out. We didn't initially realize and thought they had put out two meals on the platter (and they were just small portions) and included some extras as well, until our waiter came over a few minutes later and apologized. Unfortunately, because we received the mixed grill instead of our two chicken entrees, the solution of charging us the price for the mixed instead of our two meals only took roughly $10 off the bill but resulted in us having less than half of the food we otherwise would've had. That aside, the food was delicious enough that Kebab House still warrants five stars and we will be back, just more aware of what to expect as far as portions.

We got a table quickly. However, everything else in this restaurant seemed to take a very long time even though the restaurant was pretty empty. It took an exceptionally long time for the waiter to take our orders. We sat with empty glasses until dinner arrived since no one came to fill our glasses (this was in spite of us asking about 5 times for water). We had to repeatedly ask for the water to be refilled. It took a while to be served. The waiter brought a pre-meal nibble to the table, which was nice, but it was tiny and not nearly enough for 7 adults to sample. When my glass of water spilled on the floor, none of the workers or the waiter even noticed and the water remained on the floor through out the meal. The food was plentiful but not great. When we wanted to take our left overs, the waiter brought over 7 containers and 7 plastic bags for us to assemble and bag ourselves. We were surprised to see that at a fine dining restaurant. I think that since the Shiraz waiters know they are getting a 20% tip no matter what, they don't have to go above and beyond. This restaurant should not be anyone's first choice with Chattanooga and Colbeh just a stones throw away.
