Tomato and feta omelet with Israeli salad and some bread
Mel L.

I visited Cafe Kriza with my mom when visiting family in New York. My family raved about this place (probably because its kosher) so we decided to check it out when we got off the train. Upon going in, we realized we probably should have gone to the burger joint across the street but regardless we stayed and tried it out. The place is a little casual and boring for my taste. However, the food and service was surprisingly decent. One of the servers was pretty helpful and tended to our needs. The other server was pretty below average. Bathroom was clean and big. I ordered the tomato and feta omelette. It was clear they put something in the omelette to make it taste the way it did because it was not normal. It was thin. It didn't taste like usual omelettes should but it was still good. The bread was okay. The little side salad was great!! Next time I am in New York I will definitely try somewhere new but it was nice to experience Cafe Kriza once.

The hot sahlab - warm, cinnamony, hit the spot after a rainy day.

Great paninis and friendly atmosphere! I would also recommend the cappuccino as it is the perfect end to any meal here.

Bomb food, lovely staff, go back on a weekly basis for their Tunisian Panini. Not too many tables but wait is usually OK.

The raspberry lemon muffin and the sandies are amazing. The sandies in particular are only $0.85 each so they're very affordable. The pastries were so good that we ended up getting a whole peach cake to go and it was amazing. The sandwiches were just okay. They are served cold, which I didn't expect for a caprese sandwich. The lemonade was satisfying on a hot day. The service was very quick. We found seats at the bar too easily. This is a grab and go kind of place. If you sit, it's probably a good idea to vacate or not take your time if you see a lot of people waiting since there is limited seating.

Both were delicious and not too sweet. The donut muffin tasted like cinnamon and the texture is more like cake donut. The blueberry scone was also good, there were so many blueberries inside and was not too sweet which I loved. I was hard to choose which ones to buy since the other pastries looked good as well. For other pastries, they had cookies, pies and breads. I would definitely come again and try other pastries and drinks :) their pastries were very affordable so I would recommend you to try if you haven't visited!

Lunch hours were busy, but the place was less crowded during dinner, making it a more relaxed time to visit. I love the comfortable and cozy atmosphere. The Lamb Kebab Plate is delicious and healthy. The Matcha Latte with oat milk is to die for, definitely one of my favorites. For dine-in orders, the staff brings your food and drinks to your table by looking for the tag number given to you at the register when you order and pay. The drinks are served in ceramic cups, while meals come in ceramic bowls with stainless steel utensils. It's a nice touch and a more eco-friendly alternative to disposable tableware.

The fact that they have photos of the menu items that actually look exactly like how it looks when it comes out. They deserve a Michelin just for that. So yea . Go to site pick what you want. The Whole menu is fire which is why they getting my whole check. I had the BALT (with an added egg) amazing . My sister had the short rib grilled cheese. We both cleaned our plates. Also had the morning bun chileeee omg delish! For drinks she had the mango ginger which had a nice level of ginger and sweetness. I had the fig sparkling lemon mint soda which was so balanced . A great solo date here . Bring your book, your laptop, just yourself and enjoy. This is a value add to that plaza for sureeee. I enjoyed sitting by the kitchen window to get a front row seat to all of the different dishes coming out. Next up is the salmon and maybe the lamb shakshuka. Don't get me started on the pastries .
