I called on Thursday to place the order, but the woman who answered told me she couldn't take it and that I had to speak specifically to Diego on Friday. Diego took my order. I assumed all tres leches cake have fruit at the top. Diego didn't ask either so it could have just been a miscommunication The store itself was very clean. I was looking forward to their crumb cake my sister asked for it 3 times and somehow gave us a pumpkin cream pastry instead? I don't love pumpkin so I was very disappointed. Also the place is pricey which I get it's Manhasset I wouldn't have minded but I mind when I get the wrong items and not what I want. The pie was ok it wasn't the best pie or the worse it was lacking a bit in the flavor department. Overall, I'd return but double check if I got the right items before leaving.

It appears he makes a fresh batch of treats each morning. So, we naturally went for those goodies that were hot out of the oven. I am not a scone person, and my scone was divine! Just barely sweet, with just enough chocolate chips and raisins to add some bite. My husband ordered a croissant and cheese danish; both of which he devoured! Coffee was "light and sweet," just how we like it. The best part, though, was the service! The owner is such a fabulous host and got us acquainted with the neighborhood by advising where we should go enjoy our treat (see pic; a beautifully manicured residential park on the water). Today, 3/7/26, Alex, the associate at the bakery counter, told me that the filling is a mixture of prune and apricot. The combo makes for a delicious dessert. MB has a different owner and the quality in my opinion has gone south. The bagels now are bigger but are way too dough. I recently purchase a pound of lox cream cheese and there was barely 2 or 3 little oueces of fish in the pound of cream cheese. The sausage, egg and cheese and bacon, egg and cheese bagel sandwiches leaves a lot to desire. My kids now get all their breakfast sandwiches from Orlando's. When it comes to our hankering for yummy bagels, we go out of our way and hit Munsey Park Bagels on Northern Blvd. MPB has a wide variety of freshly made bagels. They have the freshest lox, veggie, scallion and jalapeno cream cheese available anywhere. In fact you actually taste the delicious smoky lox in every schmear and bite. Their tunafish salad is to die for and is always fresh and reminds me of the tunafish salad my mom used to make when I was growing up.
