My friends and I were looking for a cute cafe to have brunch & we came across Vida! Everyone at the register is so welcoming when you come in, you can tell that this is a family business and it's very well run. They have their menu written out on the wall behind the register as well as a QR code you can scan. The coffee shop has a wide variety of flavors/coffee as well as a small savory menu and bakery menu. When we got our orders everything was fresh and really delicious. You can tell the food is made with love. I really enjoyed the turkey and swiss croissant (not pictured) it was pressed to perfection. My friends really enjoyed their meals and coffee's also. The ambiance is nice and relaxing there are a lot plants and cute decor. There is more than enough seating and they have a super clean rest room. Highly recommend Vida!

The coffee is overpriced & the service is slow. There were 2 people in front of me & it took way too long to get my simple order just for myself. Parking & location are terrible. Business must be in trouble because I just found out it's FOR SALE. The ambiance is nice for what it is, but I will not return as there are better, cheaper & more convenient options.

I was home for the weekend and found this cute coffee shop on my way to visiting my family. This spot has great coffee and lots of choices. We had iced coffee lattes: salted caramel, hazelnut and mocha. All 3 were delicious and overly sweet... just right. The Colombian coffee was robust so the lattes were rich in flavor and body which is exactly why I support small and authentic shops like this one. They serve small bites like empanadas including desserts!!! The staff are so nice and very welcoming. Free parking in the rear is a plus!!! So glad I stopped by during my home visit. I miss NY!!

Vida Coffee Shop is a new addition to the Franklin Square area and one that I will be frequenting! This family-owned coffee shop is beautifully decorated with ample seating and a cozy atmosphere. There are tables, stools, a table off in a corner for more private conversations, a fireplace and Queen Anne chair in another. They also have a bookshelf with books to borrow/swap. Music is playing at a comfortable volume, so that anyone looking to eCommute or enjoy conversation with someone can. They offer a variety of coffee with two sizes available, 10oz and 12oz. The young man who took my order gave a thorough explanation of the different flavors and combinations available to me. I get the feeling that this is a family-owned and operated business and that is fabulous!!!!!!! I ordered an almond milk latte with hazelnut flavoring. Outstanding! This venue is conveniently located and has their own parking lot in the rear, with an entrance in the lot as well. This will come in handy during the colder months. Highly recommend!

New favorite coffee shop ! It's always great when there's a new coffee shop open near by you and best of all when it's a family owned business serving homemade options. Highly recommend the visit! Right now for fall season they are having a great selection of seasonal lattes - absolute fav is the vanilla pumpkin macchiato. They have a list of paninis that are hot pressed and so so delicious. I still have to come back to keep trying their selections. I do highly recommend to try the Brooklyn bite panini-ham, pepperoni, mozzarella, arugula, tomato, marinera. They also sell croissants with ham and cheese- they also hot press the croissant making the taste even better ! This family owned business also serves desserts like flans, tres leches, tiramisu and waffles ! The service is great as they are very welcoming to all their customers. I believe they are Colombian and Venezuelan owners therefore bringing the Latin side of coffee shop.

Their pastries are top notch, both in ingredient and aesthetics, but beyond that I am most impressed with the customer service at this location. And now an even closer location in Plainview! Pretty soon they're gonna open one right in my backyard or something haha. It is a lovely spot for authentic French-inspired pastries and coffee. I've had everything here including cupcakes, brownies, croissants, macarons, cookies, madelines, etc. I've also come here to get a small cake for special occasions. It is also a very nice place to come with friends and enjoy a coffee and pastries. The elegant, pristine interior with marble accents and beautiful displays creates a welcoming Parisian vibe. Perfect for a quick treat or relaxed sit-down. I love the cookies here, they're soft and chewy unlike the Plainview FWS I always leave with a giant bag of 5 of every different flavor of cookie(chocolate chip, nutella, oreo, pistachio, etc) because the texture is so soft and smooth. My new obsession is the fruits of the forest cake. So delicious! Its a must try!!! It gets packed in here, but the line moves quickly! If you haven't tried FWS yet, what are you waiting for?

While on a corner on a pretty busy street, the location seemed slightly obscure. No parking - just 2 or 3 spots in front of the establishment. We came mid-day on a gloomy Sunday in February...so we didn't have an issue parking right in the front. We were greeted by the friendly associate. There were lots of great-looking gelato flavors which the associate also allowed us to sample first (very kind). She was very patient with us and really seemed to enjoy working there. We're BIG hazelnut enthusiasts, so we each had one scoop of hazelnut flavor and one of the Rocher (hazelnut) flavor. They also had an amazing fig and honey gelato flavors which was absolutely delicious. They offer 4 sizes - kids' size, and then the usual - small, medium and large. The small is 2 generous scoops - and that's what we went with. The overall experience didn't disappoint at all; we thoroughly enjoyed the treat, my hubby had an espresso coffee as well (very good) and we got a kids cup of vanilla for our pup. The prices were also decent and for this type of experience, I will gladly support a small business. I definitely recommend checking out this little gem. Will return once the weather get warmer!

Visit Date: January 20, 2026…read more I got the LI cafe passport book from my co-worker for Christmas. In January I got to go to two coffee shops in this book, for five was the second one. I went with one of my friends. We both had the mochas and I had a shot of espresso because the book recommended it. The espresso was good, not overly bitter, pretty much just right. The mocha was amazing a good ratio of chocolate, coffee and espresso. It was pretty busy here and the atmosphere was nice. The snacks looked really good maybe one day I'll go back for a pastry. I give for five five stars and five beans and would recommend coming here if you like coffee shops.

l've rarely encountered such a rude and unwelcoming barista…read more I ordered a pour-over, but when I tried to simply watch the brew process, the barista was incredibly cold and dismissive, essentially refusing to let me see what she was doing. The elitist attitude continued throughout the transaction; she couldn't be bothered to tell me which beans she was using, and once the coffee was finished, she didn't even acknowledge me or announce that the drink was ready. It's a shame when a shop's "gatekeeping" attitude ruins the experience. There is no excuse for treating customers with that much contempt. I won't be returning to a place that makes me feel like an inconvenience for ordering a coffee.
