This place is still 10/10 for me. The food is always consistently good, the staff are friendly from my experience, and it's a cute place. The BEC on a croissant is my favorite. Their cake are really good too. My only complaint is I wish they would finally switch out that coconut chocolate cake (lol).

Best coffee on Long Island 3.5 stars is crazy People are def complaining about the high prices $6.50 for a brewed coffee is on the high side. But in life we must sometimes pay for quality This is an example of that . Indulge in the experience

Gotham Mocha, Iced Tea, for five bacon egg & cheese, forest fruit pancakes, s'mores cookie & oreo cookie

Have been craving an iced Gotham Mocha & have been wanting to try the Honey Butter Pancakes since I saw them on Instagram a while back. The girl at the counter was nice as usual, however once the transaction was finished I just wanted to ask her if the server will bring my food outside if I choose to sit there. I couldn't get her attention if my life depended on it. So I go outside as I see a group eating with plates and silverware, as if the order was brought outside to them. After about 15 minutes of sitting outside, I decide to go back inside just in case me being outside was somehow overlooked. I'm inside at least another 10-15 minutes as I'm starting to feel impatient because how long does it take to make pancakes? It's not like I was with anyone else, it wasn't a big order where waiting that long would be expected. They're finally brought to me and at least they were hot and freshly made. There was a smell of lemon zest which I love. The pancakes themselves tasted more like a zeppole than a pancake to me which was good, but not necessarily the kind of pancake I was craving. The iced Gotham mocha seemed to have less mocha than I have gotten in the past. And before I left I wanted to use the bathroom, only to discover someone went number two and it was smeared all over the tank as well as all over the floor behind the toilet, and the person threw some napkins over it and left, leaving other customers to discover it. Totally made me nauseous and told a manager about it. There was a line of people going to the bathroom as well, so I can't believe people were just letting this go without telling someone.

Can only provide a review as someone who went in quickly and grabbed a couple pastries to go. Not from the area and was actually looking for the French Workshop which was recommended to me by a local and could not find it. Instead I found this place and was happy I did. Everything was so delicious, service was quick and friendly. The space looks really nice to sit inside and enjoy a coffee. Ordered a plain croissant 4/5 pretty good A cake of the day which was an orange cake and was exceptional 5/5 A chocolate chip cookie 5/5 one of the best chocolate chip cookies I've had in a while. It was huge, great flavor and I liked that it was given to me warm! Would definitely get more treats here when in the area.

The prices here are high and overpriced.. a latte is $7+. I will say, it is a good latte at least. It is a very open and spacious place.

One of the reasons I really like this place is because of the chill vibe. They have high tables, low tables & couches for seating. You can sit and enjoy your food/drinks while working remote if u wish. They have an assortment of coffees, pastries breakfast eats and lunch sandwiches. The place is spacious, clean & chill. Places my order and not too long of a wait Rigatoni, Mediterranean bowl and raspberry ice tea was ordered. Food was good. The hummus tasted different but it's because it's made from carrots. Overall nice place to eat

Overall, a nice spot with great coffee! The coffee was amazing--definitely the highlight of our visit. The pasta was okay, nothing too special, and the chicken was unfortunately overcooked and a bit hard. The ambience is really good, making it a lovely place to sit, relax, and enjoy a cup of coffee. I'd come back again mainly for the coffee and the cozy atmosphere.

Keepin' it real out here in Garden City. Decent vibes, located on a beautiful block with a nice cozy interior, average service, and the same can be said about the food and drinks. I've visited this place three times, and the Wi-Fi didn't work all three times. On my third visit, I did a quick search through the reviews and found out that their Wi-Fi almost never works. Not a big deal to some people, but I do take things like this a little personally. I'd rather an establishment not provide Wi-Fi at all than mislead patrons by saying there's Wi-Fi, only to intentionally ensure there's no connectivity. (Just my opinion, no proof or evidence other than my experience and others' reviews.) During my second visit a month ago, I asked the staff about the Wi-Fi issue, and the barista told me to keep trying; it can be spotty at times, but it would work. Looking back, I'm pretty sure the staff is all in on this because I wasn't the only one asking about the Wi-Fi whenever I visited. Can't imagine how many people ask about it on a daily basis especially with a college nearby. Not sure if providing Wi-Fi is a mandate from headquarters, but either way, it would be much better practice to just get rid of the Wi-Fi completely instead of misleading people. I totally understand that having people sit there all day with just a small drink isn't good for business, but the Wi-Fi situation just isn't right. I'm open to being proven wrong because the café really fits my style, but it's just very disappointing to order $20 worth of food and drinks the first few times (just a matcha latte the third time), only to sit down and realize the Wi-Fi still doesn't work.

I spent $40 here with getting an oat honey iced latte and an egg, bacon jam sandwich. Also a cinnamon roll to go. I think this place is pricey. It's clean and seemed pretty busy on a weekday. However I wouldn't call this an "it" brunch spot. It's just okay for a quick bite.

Met up with a good friend of mine to catch up. She absolutely loves this place so I was convinced to meet up here for an early lunch. Aesthetics 10/10, nice vibe. I was a little thrown off because I expected to sit first and have food brought to us but you go up to the counter to order food then sit down and wait for it to come to table. I don't drink coffee so I chose coconut water with my falafel sandwich which comes with a small salad with dressing tossed in. The falafel was fresh, nice toasted pita, very tasty tzatziki sauce. Overpriced but expected. My friend got a garden city egg sandwich and some version of latte. We had great conversation and enjoyed the afternoon.

This place is grossly overpriced. I'm just saying. A slice of cake, and a spinach pie (pattie) = $20. That's crazy!

Well, that day finally came, and I'm so glad it did! First off, the restaurant is absolutely beautiful. The ambiance alone makes it feel like a special night out. Our waitress, Milessa, was amazing, super friendly, attentive, and very professional. She really added to the experience. We tried three different menu items. While two of them were a little too spicy for my personal taste, the sliders were my favorite, full of flavor and perfectly done. And I can't forget dessert, the warm pecan pie with ice cream was absolutely delicious and the perfect way to end the meal. Overall, a great experience with excellent service and a gorgeous setting. I'm happy we finally stopped in and would definitely come back (maybe asking for mild next time ).

The restaurant has a beautiful, bright, modern atmosphere that feels much more upscale than its surroundings. Based on other reviews, the standout dishes seemed to be the grilled Spanish octopus and the SB Smash Burger, so I ordered both. Unfortunately, the execution fell short in several areas. The East Coast oysters arrived with mignonette but without horseradish or oyster forks--small details, but noticeable oversights. The oysters, octopus, and burger were all tasty, but the presentation of octopus and burger was surprisingly sloppy, as though little attention had been paid when the dishes left the kitchen. The bar also was understaffed. A single bartender was serving both the bar and the entire dining room, which led to waits for drinks. My bartender was friendly, attentive, and worked hard, but one person simply wasn't enough. I finished with the Key Lime Custard, which had what appeared to be a layer of shredded cereal on the bottom. I wasn't sure what it was. The dessert itself was enjoyable, though I think a base of toasted sliced almonds with a few fried blueberries on top of it would have added better texture and complemented the flavors more effectively. One nice perk is the validated valet parking, for a reduced fee, which makes arriving and leaving especially convenient given the mall location. The whiskey selection could also be improved by adding a few more interesting, off-the-beaten-path single malts or blends. Overall, the kitchen shows promise! And perhaps I came on an off night. With better attention to presentation, appropriate bar staffing, and a more adventurous choice of spirits, Small Batch could deliver an experience that better matches its reputation.

I stopped by last night after a multi year hiatus and was surprised to see the place so crowded on a Monday evening. The vibe has certainly amped up from quiet and relaxing to lively and frenetic, especially around the bar area. Maybe their "Mussel Mania" promo** (a 3-course repast for $39.95pp including appetizer, a nice array of mussels, fries and chocolate mousse) drew in the hungry hordes. I noticed that most tables chose to join the Mania when I was there. Service was good considering the situation. They offer an amazing selection of Belgian beers served up in authentic glasses from the breweries that produce them. I chose the dark Cherry Chouffe and appreciated its 8% kick and hoppy fruity taste. The lobster croquette appetizer was miniscule but tasty. Mussels with bread crumbs, served in a large black pot, were OK but on the small and dry side. Chocolate mousse dessert, presented in a small cup with chocolate sauce drizzled on top, was a puzzling Americanized version of one of my favorite rich desserts. I saw some tempting things on the menu and plan to stop by another night to sample different items; in fact the cheesy onion soup is calling my name now..... **Tip: Make sure to ask your server for the mussels promo if that's your choice, as it isn't offered on the main menu they hand out.
