    Caramel Macchiato
    Veronica C.

It was my first time visiting this shop, and the coffee was great! I ordered an iced caramel macchiato with almond milk. It was a bit sweeter than I normally prefer, so next time I'll just ask for less caramel--purely a personal preference. I also picked up two mini donut croissants for $2.50 each to give to my kids. I really enjoyed the coffee and will definitely be back for more. The service was excellent; the gentleman behind the counter explained the menu to me, and I was very happy with his help. Finally, the location is amazing and beautifully decorated--I loved the Valentine's theme throughout the shop!

    Iced caramel Latte

I love that they stay open late for a great late night coffee option. I ordered the brown sugar shaken espresso and a caramel iced latte. The caramel iced latte was a letdown as it didn't taste like caramel at all, just milk. The shaken espresso was good, I would order that again. They have a big parking lot and an outdoor (enclosed) area that has seats and is a cozy spot. Inside, they have a few tables, but it is tight in there.

sad avocado toast, with half a cold egg that cost $2 extra

Tried NY Caffeine after seeing it all over socials, but honestly, it was a big letdown. We were initially excited because the pastry display looked promising -- tons of options ranging from Western classics like cheesecake and muffins, to twists like a Dubai chocolate croissant and chocolate baklava, to traditional Middle Eastern desserts like kataif and regular baklava. But then came the actual food... My sister ordered the avocado toast and we genuinely laughed when it arrived. It was served on thin, cheap grocery store white bread, with a barely-there green paste and half of a cold, pre-made egg on top -- and they charged $2 extra for that sad egg. She returned it and asked for a refund. She then tried to order an egg and cheese on a croissant, but they were out of eggs. Not a great start. We also tried the honeycomb, which was super dry and crumbly -- not soft or fluffy like it should be. I literally had to sip my drink just to help swallow it. Then came the cookie-brownie-croissant combo, which sounded amazing but was practically inedible. It was dry, overly sweet (like box mix sweet), and the croissant base was either raw or overbaked -- so hard that my fork broke trying to cut it. We returned that too. Even the drink didn't hit. We ordered a large, but it came only ¾ full. It was watery and a little too strong, so I politely asked if they could just add more milk -- the barista said they couldn't because of how the cans work (??), but she ended up remaking it from scratch. Honestly, we left super disappointed. Everything looks great online, but the actual taste, quality, and customer service don't match the hype. If you want good drinks, Middle Eastern desserts, and reliable service -- just go to Qahwah House instead.

To start, they "brownies" are not actual brownies. They are individual slices of cake. I didn't notice this 2 years ago but having it again last night, the Cadbury brownie tastes like a layered sheet cake made from box mix. The frosting on top wasn't too sweet, but certainly doesn't carry the richness of Cadbury chocolate. In a slice this simple, there's really no place to hide and paying that much for something that taste like it was battered out a box is not worth it in my opinion. The Dubai chocolate slice tasted better, but tbh, the Dubai chocolate cake from Costco not only tastes better but has a better price point! I was really excited to try their ice cream - I loved their flavor choices, but that's where my fondness pretty much stopped. The pints were pricey and taste super home made (not in a good way). The ice cream was hard and while it tasted like sweet cream, it was definitely not churned enough to carry a smooth texture. They pints were Van Leeuwen prices but the taste and texture was far from quality ice cream. In this case, I much rather pick up a pint of Hagen Daz, again much better price point and better quantity. The store is pretty but I won't be returning.

My brother and I were actually buying some Korean dishes at the spot right next to it for our mother's birthday and we also wanted to get a cake. I looked up bakeries in the area and this bakery showed up so we just walked on over to take a look at the selection. The cakes actually looked pretty good with a good variety of flavors but there wasn't much left (looked like a lot was sold). They also have a refrigerated section of Asian drinks and also individual baked goods in addition to the cakes. We ended up getting a Blueberry Fresh cake ($29.99) that had blueberry fresh cream, white sponge and blueberry. It looked very pretty and honestly tasted very good! It wasn't overly sweet and heavy which was what we liked about it. Everything in general was a little pricier than what I'd like but it's definitely more convenient to get a cake in Hicksville than to drive all the way to Queens for something similar. Another plus is the huge parking lot and there are always spots available.

Most recently, I purchased the ube cream donut ($3.95), matcha cream donut ($3.95), brown sugar bubble tea ($6.00), and milk tea bubble tea ($6.00). In the past, I've also purchased milk pan bread ($5.95), sausage roll bread ($4.25), taro milk tea ($6.00). I really enjoy their baked goods and think they are better than their drinks. Their drinks are okay and I more get it for convenience. The prices are reasonable. I am looking forward to trying one of their fresh cream cakes. Staff are always friendly and it doesn't take long to checkout.
