I saw this cafe on Instagram so I came in to give it a try. I ordered a brown sugar shaken espresso and a caramel brûlée latte. The brown sugar shaken espresso was basically undrinkable, the espresso was so burnt and tasted nothing like brown sugar. It also looked exactly like a latte so I'm not sure if it was made wrong. The caramel brûlée latte also tasted burnt, but the caramel flavoring hid it a bit more. Also, when I went in I wanted to order a Christmas drink, but the barista informed me that there was no physical menu of the Christmas menu so I had to go on Instagram to find the drinks. I recommend a physical menu as this would simplify the ordering process. The barista was nice and they have a few parking spots outside but unfortunately the drinks were not my favorite. read more

Cottage Cheese was synonymous with Weight Watchers meetings that I accompanied my mother to when I was a child. I did not like the taste. Now I do ever since I tasted the Avocado Toast at the Grind House. They make theirs with cottage cheese, which beautifully complements the richness of the avocado. The Avocado Toast is the signature sandwich of The Grind House. Staff say that they use the owner's personal recipe, and it is worth every penny of the $8.96 that I spent for it. The Grind House is located in a strip mall across from the Bethpage Train Station. It is a coffee house the makes a variety of espresso-based drinks and other beverages. They also sell gourmet pastries, including a Nutella croissant and a chocolate cinnamon bun. There are tables to sit inside and out--. Cute little coffee shop by the LIRR station. It would be a good spot to wait or grab a pick me up drink/snack on the go. The shop is small but there are tables to sit at to enjoy the space. The barista was nice and recommended one of their popular drinks. I got the ferrero rocher iced latte. For me it tasted artificial and it got too sweet towards the end as the chocolate syrup sank to the bottom of the cup. I'd try it again with maybe half of all the syrups they use. read more

Stopped in to get an iced caramel latte $7.33. They had a bottle of caramel. I was hoping that that would be in my latte. But I got the typical generic "caramel" flavored syrup. Not impressed. Very basic. When I asked the girl about the bottle of caramel that's sitting on the shelf. I asked her what they use that for. She said, "it is just for like drizzling" The place is very small. It's definitely not on par to my expectations. Looking at all the good reviews, I felt lied to. I needed a good coffee fix and thought to try this place. I got the large latte sweetened... it wasn't sweetened, fine... I can deal with that. I'm not sure if they charged me for it. At least the roast and flavor were decent for a local cafe. As for my husband's drink, the ferrero roche latte didn't look like any of the pic, just fyi. There were no chocolate swirls, whipped cream, or hazelnut toppings. It was basically a flavored coffee. I asked the Barista if it was supposed to come with whip cream and stuff, and he said no, but he can add it. Uh, shouldn't there be some consistency to your coffee, especially if your establishment raves about specialty lattes? Lastly, the Barista was training a new barista, but they didn't bother to ask if it's okay or not. What if someone is trying to get a quick coffee on the go? I ended up getting a Ferrero Rocher latte from one the kindest baristas around and was pleasantly surprised by how tasty it was. A strong and sweet hazelnut taste encased with Hershey's Chocolate ribbons. I was a bit disappointed it didn't come with the Ferrero Rocher cream on top, but it was a pleasant sip as I knocked out a few hours of work! Excited to try a new matcha spot and unfortunately the color of the matcha was completely off and yes the saying is matcha tastes like grass. Never have experienced that saying until today. Almost $8 for a large (medium size ) matcha. Service was super slow there was only one drink ahead of mine as I watched the barista spend time on slowly crumpling the oat milk box and talking to another barista. The coffee was weak and too milky. Adding extra cinnamon didn't make much of a difference. The cups are made of thin paper and bent when holding it. At gourmet coffee prices here, I would expect a lot more. This is not a coffee house I will revisit. read more

I've seen the other coffee shops open and close here - probably because they couldn't keep up with the newer trends - like oat milk latte, speciality flavors, updated look and feel - but the grind house did it! Apart from the overall ambience, the menu is perfect with just the right amount of pre-designed selections, and enough options to create your own mix. The owner, Sam, is incredibly personable and friendly, and seems very dedicated to his shop as well as creating regular customers. I ordered a rainbow cookie latte with whipped cream and crumbled cookies on top, and Sam was kind enough to gave me a complimentary croissant welcoming me to the new neighborhood. The latte had the PERFECT combo of rainbow cookie flavors with fresh espresso, and the croissant is wonderfully light & airy. My gf and I FINALLY went here after me begging her for weeks. The coffee is AMAZING!!! We got the rainbow cookie latte with an extra shot. They give the perfect amount of chunks of rainbow cookie in it and they are extremely fresh and delicious. My gf was going insane about how it's the best coffee she's ever had and she could not believe how incredible the rainbow cookie is, calling her friends and telling everyone they need to try it. I went in to order a s'mores hot coffee with whipped cream and avocado toast with eggs and spicy mayo not only did they give me regular coffee but it was iced and no whipped cream and the avocado toast wasn't even toasted just a plain wheat bread slice with avocado spread and eggs (which i had to toast at home) and they didn't give me spicy mayo. I'm not upset about the service and the food wasn't what i asked for but i can get over that i'm just upset because if im paying extra for those things they should pay more attention and add what i want. read more

I was disappointed with the food and coffee we ordered. There was nothing special about the specialty lattes. No toppings and way too much sugar. The barista used packaged avocado spread instead of real avocados and microwaved eggs for avocado toast, which for the price didn't make sense. The barista was nice though the service was slow. She said they no longer make egg sandwiches even though they were on the menu in the store. The ambiance was nice but the seating is very tight so this seems like a take out only place. We were hoping to discover a new great coffee shop, but the Grind House fell far short out of expectations. read more
