Service: The bell on the door signals the counter help to come from the back if they're not already there. My service was immediate and helpful. A bakery selling old stale pastries isn't getting my business. Dortoni's and Leonetti's would never sell this to their customers. I'm insulted actually. You sold me an inferior product. When you go to a restaurant, is it okay for them to sell you yesterday's leftovers? Steer clear of this bakery. They do not care about their customers. You have a 50/50 chance of getting leftovers...not bakery fresh food.

He cornered me and loudly accused me of stealing in front of everyone. After putting me through that terrifying and humiliating ordeal, the store manager finally stepped in only to casually say "it was a mistake" and send me on my way. A "mistake" does not cover the trauma of being targeted. I know deep down that the color of my skin had everything to do with why I was profiled, harassed, and put in danger today. You cannot just falsely accuse and put hands on innocent people because of your biases and then expect a brushed-off apology to make it okay. I am greatly affected by this and mentally exhausted. Someone from Stew Leonard's corporate office needs to take accountability and issue a real, formal apology. This cannot be allowed to happen to anyone else. Please share this. To start, they "brownies" are not actual brownies. They are individual slices of cake. I didn't notice this 2 years ago but having it again last night, the Cadbury brownie tastes like a layered sheet cake made from box mix. The frosting on top wasn't too sweet, but certainly doesn't carry the richness of Cadbury chocolate. In a slice this simple, there's really no place to hide and paying that much for something that taste like it was battered out a box is not worth it in my opinion. The Dubai chocolate slice tasted better, but tbh, the Dubai chocolate cake from Costco not only tastes better but has a better price point! I was really excited to try their ice cream - I loved their flavor choices, but that's where my fondness pretty much stopped. The pints were pricey and taste super home made (not in a good way). The ice cream was hard and while it tasted like sweet cream, it was definitely not churned enough to carry a smooth texture. They pints were Van Leeuwen prices but the taste and texture was far from quality ice cream. In this case, I much rather pick up a pint of Hagen Daz, again much better price point and better quantity. The store is pretty but I won't be returning.
