    Ricotta toast!

I always knew they had delicious coffee (love the bumble bee and crème brûlée especially) but now I know they also have delicious food! The ricotta toast is incredible! And all made in house. The best!

This is a very calm and peaceful place that serves tasty food, drinks, and pastries that are to die for. The workers are the sweetest and the service is very good. I ordered a few pastries, the Shrimp Po Boy sandwich, and the marshmallow peep latte and it came out in less than 10 minutes. The atmosphere is very chill and pleasant, and the aesthetic of the cafe is nice as well. I would definitely recommend stopping by for some brunch one day.

The Perk & Press - Massapequa, NY What a gem! Stopped in for breakfast/brunch and was so glad we did. The space has a cozy, welcoming vibe with a modern café feel, and everything tasted incredibly fresh. We ordered a The Petra Bowl, the Noyo, and the Tuna Salad Sandwich. The sandwiches came on hearty multigrain bread, perfectly toasted and packed with flavor--mine had egg, veggies, and melty cheese, and it was filling but not heavy. The Petra bowl was colorful and fresh with Moroccan eggplant, hummus, ricotta, tomatoes, cucumbers, and greens, with warm bread on the side. Everything was seasoned beautifully and felt made with care. The quality of the ingredients really stood out--it's not your average café food, but thoughtfully prepared and super tasty. Also loved the presentation, which made the meal even more enjoyable. Definitely worth the stop if you're in the area--this is the kind of spot that makes you want to linger over coffee and good food. Fresh, tasty, and very good

Very cute coffee shop that also offers breakfast and lunch sandwiches. They have a big list of coffee flavors so there's something for everyone! I ordered the blueberry crumble iced coffee which was delicious! The food smelled very good so I will definitely be back for food and another flavor iced coffee. The staff is very nice and helpful as well. It's right by the train station so it's a great spot to stop at while waiting for your train.

This is a hidden gem for sure! The food, the drinks, the staff... everything was just perfect! There was a line that went quickly when we first got there. It's a cute little cafe that you would totally pass by if you didn't know the goodness that was inside! The staff was super helpful when I couldn't decide what I wanted-- 1) because everything sounded so good and 2) because they had SO many options! We didn't try any of the sweet treats but will be back again. We went with coffee and sandwiches, which were delicious! The only downside was that we had to wait for a table to open up for the 3 of us, but even that went quickly while I was deciding on what to get! The food was fresh, the flavors were amazing and definitely a level up from your typical cafe. I got the Jamaican grilled chicken sandwich with the spicy aioli on the side. It came with a delicious slaw inside and really hit the spot. My two friends both got the same sandwich, the Pequa which was chicken cutlet with a spinach dip topping. The fries were SO GOOD! And my friends enjoyed their meal. They have a ton of options for drinks with every kind of milk and creamer you could imagine! I will definitely be back for more!!

I had been looking forward to this place opening for awhile when I had seen the signs first coming up, and I finally got my chance to stop on for a late breakfast and some coffee. The wait was worth it, I have nothing but good things to say about this place. For a Café, there is way more seating than typical which is already a huge plus for me. The decor is nothing flashy but lights are kept a little dim and the music is nice, low and ambient to let you chat with whoever you may be with with ease. I had a French toast muffin, something brand new to me and it was delicious. They had a number of others to choose from that I was interested in as well, along with a decent menu of other hot breakfast and lunch items that looked to be just as tasty from what I saw on other patrons' plates. But let's be real the real name of the game here is their coffee. And not only is it good, but they have enough flavor options to make your head spin if that's your vibe. I went with pistachio and white chocolate, "the Sicilian kiss" and was pleasantly surprised at the robust flavor while not being overly sweet. Staff were both very kind and quick to serve. Parking can be a little weird, but there are side streets and a few municipal lots close by that don't make it too much of an issue. There's a lot of competition for coffee places popping around Nassau and Suffolk, but this place really won me over. Would make for a great date spot or even just a relaxing place to work for a bit if you needed a change of scenery. Looking forward to coming back here and trying out even more of what this place has to offer.

I was able to check out Perk and Press today which is a sister location of The Perk and it was phenomenal! Let's start with the food (10/10). I tried the French fries which were very unique as far as the cut but were perfectly crispy along with the chicken fingers. I also had a hazelnut pastry that was filled with Nutella which was also superb. I also tried the PB&J soup and yes it's exactly what you think it is- my taste buds are still confused as to why it was so delicious. It's a butternut squash base with peanut butter and grapes on top. Trust me it's worth a try! They have tons of flavors for coffee but they also have wine on top for those looking for a mid-day drink. The ambiance (10/10). It is the perfect blend of a coffee shop/lunch spot with tons of seating. The space is beautifully decorated and can also be a good place to get some work done. Service (10/10). The service was great and the staff was able to give great descriptions of the menu items. Our food also came out very quickly and they were on top of cleaning off the table. I shall be back!!

They gave us a number to bring our order to us.

I'm so glad I got to stop in. This sister location to Massapequa Perk brings menu favorites in a larger space. The service is pleasant as always and I can't wait for my next visit.

No Yo egg white breakfast sandwich
    Duayne D.

Came to try this place because of the high Yelp ratings. And I can say they are legit. Friendly, but most importantly, efficient staff. My food was fast, hot and delicious. Had the "No Yo" egg white breakfast sandwich, which was simply scrumptious. Fluffy egg whites, quality other ingredients, on multigrain bread toasted to perfection. Excellent coffee also. Plenty of seating at cleaning tables. Yes, prices are a little high, but worth it given the overall service and quality.

They asked for drink orders and we were left alone for a long time until the drinks arrived. Though we were ready to order, the server just dropped off our drinks and went to bring another table upstairs. I went down to the counter to get someone to take our order, and it took nearly an hour before our order was in (and even then, they took the order of the second table before taking our party's order). It was almost an hour and a half since we entered the restaurant when the food finally arrived at our table, and then it took so long for someone to come with our check and process payment, we went down to the counter to do it. During this time, another family was seated upstairs and left due to not being attended to. This caused big delays in our day and I had to cancel an appointment because we spent over two hours at this restaurant when we didn't want to. That said, food was good. I got the lemon blueberry pancake, which was a little bit gummy but mostly tasted fine. My brother got the mangu, which is kinda hard to find around here, let alone on the menu of a breakfast brunch restaurant. It was my brother's first time having it, and he thoroughly enjoyed it. Besides him choosing scrambled eggs instead of fried eggs, it was very classic mangu breakfast. The real crabmeat omelet was another hit-- crabmeat was so real there were little pieces of shell lining-- really ambitious and deliciously executed. The menu is really fun and the food was overall good. Again, I think the very slow service wasn't on purpose and it's because they didn't anticipate such a large crowd on a Friday, but I would say run if they try to seat you upstairs and you're the only ones up there. Be prepared to wait for a long time if you want the reward of nice food.

We were seated immediately, and from there the experience just kept getting better. The menu has something for everyone, including a vegan menu plus the regular menu all had vegan alts as well, which is surprisingly rare for any place and especially a brunch spot. Everything we ordered was excellent. The piña colada pancakes were a standout, topped with pineapple chunks, whipped cream, and coconut flakes for the perfect balance of sweet and tropical. The pigs in pancakes were another favorite, featuring sausages wrapped in fluffy pancakes and beautifully presented. We also loved the loaded home fries--a mix of regular and sweet potatoes topped with melted cheese, jalapeños, and bacon bits. They were packed with flavor. The alcoholic drink menu is fairly limited, but the mimosas were well made, generously poured, and hit the spot. The staff was attentive, friendly, and made us feel welcome throughout the meal. One of the most memorable parts of the restaurant is its unique atmosphere. A large werewolf statue greets you at the entrance, and the Gothic, Halloween-inspired décor gives the place a fun personality that sets it apart from the typical brunch spot. If you're looking for a unique brunch experience with great food, friendly service, and plenty of menu variety, Cornucopia Nursery is definitely worth checking out.
