Really great breakfast/brunch spot, I love their specials. The staff works super hard to deliver high quality eats, love this hometown spot. The decor inside is also unique and really fun, there's something to look at on all the walls. Been coming here for 10+ years and hope to confuse to support them for many more.
Came here for the first time on a snowy Sunday, and we loved it. We had a short wait, grabbed coffee across the street, and were called back quickly. I got the vegan pancake wrap which was INCREDIBLE. I've been vegan for 7 years and finding thoughtful menu items at breakfast spots aside from the standard avocado toast can be a challenge. This was a treat. My fiancee got the pastrami waffle special and he loved it. They played a new wave playlist, there's kitschy things everywhere, and the staff is super welcoming. What else do you need?
Food is very good and portions are good as well I just wish they had more healthy options on the menu , they didn't have much . Otherwise the food was seasoned well and used great ingredients
Finally got breakfast from here. I ordered the Margarita Wrap. It had Roma tomatoes fresh mozzarella & pesto. Not only was it HUGE and I'm still full from it 10 hours later, but it was delicious! It tasted so fresh. The tomatoes tasted as if they were fresh from a garden. Pesto was delish too...tasted homemade and not from a jar. Everything about this wrap was delicious. I would order it again or order it just as an omelette. I did a delivery order via DoorDash. Next time I will definitely eat in! I would love to try lunch next time.
The drink was great, the food was just OK, and the ambience is just OK. The best thing there was the caramelized banana French toast with vanilla bean gelato. Definitely recommend. I also loved their gelato. But beyond those, the eggs and everything else was just OK and more like a deli purchase rather than a diner let alone a restaurant.
Great place for breakfast or brunch! They have a wonderful , fun and unique menu, that has vegan and gluten free options! Nice outdoor area to eat as well. Food is very delicious . They do state on the menu that prices have gone up 20%, so I appreciate being told ahead of time . Service was good, friendly and attentive. Food was great . Parking is on the street but seemed pretty available.
Food was mediocre, service was even worse. We sat outside and waited for our waiter for 15-20 minutes. One person in our party was late but we were ready to order drinks and at least an appetizer. When he didn't come out, the manager came out and said "we can't hold this table for you... can you at least order something?" We proceeded to tell him we were waiting to do just that. Then, the waiter came out. Right off the bat, that put a bad taste in my mouth. He was very abbrasive as well. We sat outside and the yellow jackets were awful... not their fault but I would suggest sitting inside. The waiter was so slow and I think he forgot about us more than once. The food was ok. Nothing special. They do have a bunch of different mimosas which were very good, I'll give them that. I had a mango mimosa and it came in an awesome skull glass too which I enjoyed. I wanted to get the soup of the day with the grilled cheese which is listed on their menu, but there was no soup that day.... Which I don't understand with it being a regular menu item but whatever. I opted for the BLT with avocado. It was very greasy and the bacon (which I asked for well done) was barely cooked. I had to take it off the sandwich. My friend had the poutine dish which she said had a bit too much gravy. All in all, I won't be back and I'm pretty upset because I wanted to love this place.
Have been coming here for over 5 years now and I still think this is one of the best breakfast/lunch restaurants on Long Island. My personal favourite is the margarita omlette, while my hisbamd always gets the fat bastard platter. But honestly - you cannot go wrong with anything on the menu.

Came here for my friends birthday lunch and wasn't too impressed with this place. I had intentions of either getting the soup of the day and grilled cheese or something off the specials because they usually sound good from all the yelp pix I saw, however, this time there was nothing good and apparently no soup of the day-which was not a special, that's on their regular menu. I ended up getting the avocado blt which was decent but very greasy and the bacon was not crispy at all which we specifically asked for and the pineapple mimosa to drink which came in a cute skull glass. We got the loaded homefries for the table which were pretty good. Service was pretty awful though. I think our waiter forgot we were there because there were very long gaps in between him coming to our table and the table next to us changed twice while we were there waiting.
Cornucopia Nursery may be small--with only about seven tables and no reservations--but it's absolutely worth the trip. We were seated immediately, and from there the experience just kept getting better. The menu has something for everyone, including a vegan menu plus the regular menu all had vegan alts as well, which is surprisingly rare for any place and especially a brunch spot. Everything we ordered was excellent. The piña colada pancakes were a standout, topped with pineapple chunks, whipped cream, and coconut flakes for the perfect balance of sweet and tropical. The pigs in pancakes were another favorite, featuring sausages wrapped in fluffy pancakes and beautifully presented. We also loved the loaded home fries--a mix of regular and sweet potatoes topped with melted cheese, jalapeños, and bacon bits. They were packed with flavor. The alcoholic drink menu is fairly limited, but the mimosas were well made, generously poured, and hit the spot. The staff was attentive, friendly, and made us feel welcome throughout the meal. One of the most memorable parts of the restaurant is its unique atmosphere. A large werewolf statue greets you at the entrance, and the Gothic, Halloween-inspired décor gives the place a fun personality that sets it apart from the typical brunch spot. There's also outdoor seating if you prefer to dine outside. If you're looking for a unique brunch experience with great food, friendly service, and plenty of menu variety, Cornucopia Nursery is definitely worth checking out. read more
Ambiance (5/5): It was surprisingly empty during 9/10am on a weekend. The café is small with only a few tables for dining. There are cute items for purchase on the side/front (e.g., salt and pepper, décor, jewelry). When we dined during Halloween, we loved all the themed décor! The open kitchen concept provide a view into the food prep and aroma! Very retro to have the check come in a DVD case! Service (5/5): We were helped quickly and the owner was sweet. She created the vegan menu and also provided some recommendations for fan favorites. Pigs in a Blanket (4/5): I liked the idea of it but when combined, there was too much pancake and not enough meat. However separately, the pancakes were fluffy and beautifully flavored. The small sausage pieces on the inside was also good. Super filling because of the massive amount of pancake! read more

ordered food to pick up on sunday morning. It was ready quickly and correctly. The food was very good. I didnt find the "crack" drink that good but maybe its just me. The parking in the area is interesting i parked behind the store. read more

My husband and I come here for breakfast every other week. I'm vegan and he's not, and we both love that there are great options for us both. The food is consistently delicious, and the flavors are always spot on. We truly enjoy every visit!! PS the tofu scramble is amazing!! read more

The drink was great, the food was just OK, and the ambience is just OK. The best thing there was the caramelized banana French toast with vanilla bean gelato. Definitely recommend. Wanted to check this place out since it's fall and Halloween is right around the corner. We were welcomed by our server Paul who told us we can sit anywhere. It's a tiny place but well decorated. The two servers (Gigi+ Paul) displayed the specials on a chair which was on a board. I ordered the apple cider mimosa, it was served in a skull glass. You will not regret ordering it! It's everything fall and Halloween is in one glass with a sugar cinnamon rim. For our meals I ordered the San Fran with brown bread which was really good. The fiancé ordered the poutine with sunny side up eggs- i liked it better than my dish but I didn't want to have a heart attack (lol). The service Paul provided was outstanding! Our bill came in an old DVD case of 28 days later lol Come to this place if you want to grab brunch and trendy ig pics. read more
Wife and I decided to drop by my nephew and his wonderful family in Long Island for the weekend. We woke up early on a drab and cold Sunday morning, we got hungry, looked up a place to eat breakfast here in Yelp and decided to pay Cornucopia Noshery Inc a visit. It was THE BEST decision we made! Even though Kevin (our server) wore a mask, I can right away noticed he greeted us with a warm smile, he was very amiable, jovial, funny and knowledgeable about the menu/specials. Nick and Erica are very nice as well. Amazing crew! My wife ordered The Red Flannel Hash and I went for the Brisket Hash (recommended by Kevin). OH WOW! Kudos to the Chef! The portions are huge! These dishes are immersed in such savory flavors as to make my taste buds dance with delight! My Brisket was so tender and juicy, my wife's meal was so tasty! Our bill came inside an old Avengers DVD case... it's brilliant! LOL All in all, if I were to live in the area, this will be my go to for everyday breakfast and also to see Kevin again! read more
It's hard to find a good restaurant with vegan options but here they do it right! Every time I come here the foods is just delicious! I always try to order off the specials and today they had a jerk tofu scramble. It was packed with flavor and left me happy and full!! They also have great coffee!!! read more

Fantastic breakfast!! Highly recommend!! My friend and I planned on eating at Brownstones in Amityville, but it was a 50 minute wait! We found Cornucopia's Noshery on Yelp, called to inquire about the wait time- 15 minutes! We left Brownstones, went here and we were seated IMMEDIATELY! The cold brew iced coffee was delicious, the food took about 15 minutes and tasted as good as it looked. The prices are great for the portions you get and our waitress was very friendly! read more

On our way to the pumpkin patch, my sister spotted the Amityville sign. We had to make a detour in to town. It could not have been a better start to our day than stopping by the Cornucopia Noshery Inc.. There is outside seating and it was already packed. You could tell it's the town hot spot for brunch. The tables would not stay empty for long as tables wrapped up their bills. There is a lot of two tops but we managed to snag a table for the three of us quickly. Right away I loved all the Halloween décor. It's my absolute favorite time of the year. They went all out that there was even a werewolf by the counter. The specials board was brought over to us but we were too late for the Campfire S'mores French Toast. I was drawn in by the "Frogs in Holes" which is, two eggs cooked in French Toast and a side of potatoes. My nephew thought the "Fat Bastrad" and the "Skinny Bitch" were hilarious. My sister and he ended up splitting the "Fat Bastard" since it was a ton of food. He said it was his "best eggs in 2020" and the pancakes were super "fluffy". He was in brunch heaven! My sister loved the super thick bacon that came with the meal. And she also couldn't stop raving about the sweet potatoes mixed with the regular potatoes. I enjoyed the salty, sweet balance of the meal. I ordered an oat latte to go with my meal. My sister ordered a black coffee that was forgotten and we had to reorder. There is unlimited refills, so I would make sure to get that coffee order in. It was super busy as I mentioned. I would also mention, you want like 5 packets of ketchup, maple syrup and hot sauce when ordering. You are outside and things will get cold, so super important to get everything in on that order. There are gluten free, veggie and vegan options. This made me very happy since I have more and more vegan and gluten free friends to consider when traveling. Once we put in our order my sister and my nephew went for a walk. The neighboring tables started chatting with me about Halloween and there outside front lawn décor. I guess I was giving off the Halloween vibes to all around me. The funny thing is, Halloween is one of the few times a year I wear what I want and people think it's because of Halloween. The table eventually gave us there candy that comes with the bill. When we got our bill, it came in an old dvd horror case and was filled with three candy packets of the good stuff. (Skittles, Haribo and Twizzlers) I would love to return for lunch sometime and secretly hope the Halloween décor will still be up. Very much enjoyed our meal here and look forward to our next visit. PS Also loved our waitress' sugar skull mask and jack-o-lantern tee. read more
Delicious once again! Although indoor eating has opened up, my hubby and I stopped by for the outdoor experience. It was awesome. He got the sloppy joe waffle special (I tried the meat A+). I got the San Fran egg wrap which hit the spot. The veggies were cooked perfectly and still had a bit of crunch in the wrap. I'm glad they've survived the Covid Shutdown! read more

Absolutely amazing experience! Went for the first time ever and my friend and I were seated immediately! The waiter came over right away and started on our order. There is social distancing between tables and all staff wear masks. There was outdoor seating as well available. The service was great! Everyone was so friendly. I got the poutine and it was so good! Definitely would recommend! Will be returning and hope to continue supporting them in these tough times! read more

I've visited New York MANY, MANY times, especially since my daughter moved there 13 years ago, and NEVER have I been subjected to the brash, harsh, nasty demeanor of the stereotypic bad rap of being called "a typical New Yorker." In fact, I have been pleasantly surprised with how nice New Yorkers are (at least in our experiences), no matter where I've gone over these 13 years. Until this place. I had to travel to Amityville, NY to find the stereotypic "New Yorker," and I do NOT say this with pleasure. The woman who waited on us at this eatery, I don't know, maybe she had a bad day, maybe she had some customers BEFORE us that pissed her off. All's I know is that when she waited on us, she was brash, harsh, and simply put, NOT NICE. She was the only one waiting tables (not that many to begin with, a very small place), so I don't know if it was the owner who waited on us or what. IF we did get the owner, then shame on her. We did nothing to incur her wrath, yet we got it. I am not one to usually go on about the service, but when it's really bad, I will (and thus, the reason for only 2 stars). I would probably have awarded 3.5 - 4 stars for the food, but with that service, they're lucky I didn't give only 1 star total.) It was a weekday breakfast, the tables were mostly full, and there were 5 of us in our party. I wanted to ask her a question about the Yelp coupon, and that's when it started. She told me NO, very abruptly at that. She didn't want to address it then and told me to wait. It was the nasty tone and harshness, again, the New York stereotype, it just put me off in a way that I never experienced. I wasn't mean, so why was she? She absolutely refused to talk about my very simple Yelp coupon question. (As an aside and to clarify, the waitress honored the coupon, but my issue wasn't with that... it was just her harshness and unwillingness to let me ask a simple question.) Okay, fine, so I tried to move on. Did I piss her off that I am part of the Yelp world? Who knows. She walked off for reasons I don't know, then eventually returned to take our order after we waited a fair amount of time. The problem was that she continued to be very abrupt. Nobody asked for anything out of the ordinary, so why she was annoyed, I'll never understand. As we waited a long time, a couple came to sit down beside us, had their order taken rather quickly, and they had TWO ROUNDS of food delivered BEFORE WE GOT OUR ONE round of food. In other words, they ordered cereal and fruit, got and ate that, but then, they got their egg dishes, very similar or the same as what we ordered, before we got ours. We were there first, ordered before them, although not much before, but they got their food first. NOW, I'm pissed....... but still, I didn't let the waitress know because she was already bitchy to us, and I sure as heck didn't want to hear from her with her level of nasty. Our food finally came out. It tasted decent enough, and it was filling....... but the meal was ruined by her and her attitude. I don't know what she didn't like about us, but she clearly had some vendetta against us. Maybe she hates anyone who sits at that particular table. I clearly don't know, but I can assure you, we won't be back. There are plenty of other restaurants we can go to. Now that I've finally met up with the stereotypic mean New Yorker, I'm just glad people like her are far outnumbered by all the nice New Yorkers. read more

Was simply acting like a tourist in my (relatively new) town, and came upon this cafe. Loved the funky vibe inside (drinking from skull-shaped glasses!), and the waitress was so sweet and attentive! I got the veggie goat cheese sandwich, which was SO GOOD, along with a salad. I was tempted to have some gelato, but restrained myself. The check arrived in a Napoleon Dynamite DVD case (because what else are they going to be used for anymore?!). It was a wonderful experience, and I can't wait to go back with my husband and all my friends! read more

Everyone loves the decor here, it's infectious and eclectic with sugar skulls, funky retro items and a touch of magic. Its the love child of witches brew (hempstead) and a classic diner. They definitely dance to the beat of their own drum here, and I like the music that's coming out of it. My friend was visiting the area and and invariably, we get on the topic of "long guyyland" accents and mom voices. After trying to convince me to have a breakfast beer (teeempting!) our hilarious server Kevin jumped right in on our antics. He was a pleasure the entire time and just showed us that this place has more personality than just it's looks. Unfortunately dishes I was interested in had bacon or roast beef (ew). Sacrilege I know, but I don't really go ga-ga over bacon. I'll deal if it's mixed in, but if I can avoid it I will. The menu says no substitutions, but I did convince a cock-eyebrowed Kevin to do an omission. They were able to abide and omit the swine from my beet and goat cheese omelette. With a side of savory home fries (that I was warned may have essence of bacon) I was overjoyed. The pesto/margarita omelet on my friends plate was also up for picking. No complaints about the food otherwise, I did especially enjoy the salad dressing as it was super light and fresh. One can appreciate how their menu changes to reflect seasonal items and stock, however sometimes I feel like I may only be interested in one or two things. I try not to go too sweet, or too heavy on my breakfasts. Of course this is all solely based on personal preference. I think at one point they had a couple of staples (skinny b*tch?) that were repeat offenders on the menu but I don't think that's the case anymore. Additionally they have gelato, and I'm a sucker for that creamy stuff. My lovely partner in crime convinced me to share some cappuccino crunch gelato with her. Let me tell you, that was not a mistake. They also serve affogato which makes this girl a little bit giddy considering I never see it on the menu anywhere! Cookie-sandwiches too. Ughhh, don't tempt me... just don't ! Until today I didn't even realize that they did something other than brunch. I'll be back when the sun's not shining. read more
