Came here on a Monday morning. I was super happy that there was a large parking lot at the back entrance. The staff was really kind and helped us pick out drinks. The inside was clean, well decorated and bright. There were several tables for seating. We order two of the speciality lattes Cadbury egg and Cheerios, a kids hot chocolate, a vanilla latte and a chocolate cake pop. All the drinks came out fast and delicious. The Cadbury egg was my personal favorite. It was a delicious mix of Carmel, toffee and butterscotch. The vanilla latte was exactly what I was looking for in a latte. Classically delicious. I've been wanting to come here since I worked in Amityville a few years ago and I never made it. I was in the area today, so I decided to stop in. I was greeted right away by barista Alexis. She was so sweet and welcoming. When I told her I'd never been before, she welcomed me and asked me what I like. She got to know me which was very nice! After I told her my flavor profile and preferences she recommend the honey nut cheerio latte (current special). I went with it and within the first sip I felt like I was eating a bowl of cereal! The flavors were definitely a honey nut cheerio to a t! I noticed there are plenty of food options and vegan options available. There's street parking and parking in the back available as well. Service was wonderful and friendly. We arrived on a random Saturday morning and they had many options to choose from. They had seasonal/winter/valentines specials which were pretty cool. I got the Teddy Bear latte and was surprised on how sweet it was; I could barely taste the espresso. My brother got the matcha made in heaven, we are a little picky with our matcha so it was a gamble; he wasn't very fond on it and found it to be very milky/overly sweet. I've been wanting to check this place out for a bit, but it's alway crowded when I did remember. I came here Sunday morning, was greeted immediately when I entered. It was other patrons there but quiet. What annoyed me was there was a lady sitting in her seat while her dog was on a leach away from her and customer had to step over the leach to get to the register to order, some ppl are soo inconsiderate and rude. Anyways besides that, I ordered an iced matcha latte with vanilla. Let's just say I will be coming back, it was really good and trust a lot of time ppl do not know how to make matcha... it was a bit pricey at $9 for a large but it was really good, next time I'm going to try it with lavender and vanilla. The service is sweet, the space is cute, but the coffee was kind of a letdown. I too was attracted to the instagram posts highlighting their extravagant concoctions. You have a wide variety of flavors to choose from, plus a seasonal menu! I walked in a bit perplexed but the staff really was super sweet and patient with me. I ended up with a Banana Cream Pie iced latte and was quickly served. The latte did come with whip and banana bread crumbs on top which I appreciated. But it was just generically sweet and had no banana flavor to it. With that being said, if that is your type of flavored latte, you may enjoy this place! But personally I like my flavored lattes to taste like the advertised flavor and this just did not hit. Overall, I would love to give this place another shot and try another coffee. But for now? Just tried this place out the other day. I ordered a Vanilla Iced Latte with Oat Milk and tried their BLT sandwich. The staff were extremely nice and it didn't take long to receive my food. The latte and sandwich were good. The vibes in this place were immaculate and I felt very comfortable. An issue I had was that they hide the sandwich prices on their menu, which was annoying. The prices also are a bit high, which I can understand but still find extreme. Another problem for me was that it was difficult to eat my sandwich because it kept falling apart. Anchor coffee has great vibes, great pastries, great service, however, lacks in what matters most, coffee. I do understand I am more picky with my coffee and not every place is going to reach my standard. I usually get a cortado to really set the bar of each coffee shop I head to. The issue with my cortado is that there was no milk foam like a true cortado and the coffee was very watery. Almost as if they took pour over and milk and called it a day. It could've been a one off and next time I go there it'll be amazing and that will definitely entice me to update my review. As for the pastries, they were amazing and I truly enjoyed the ambiance. I ordered the lavender vanilla cappuccino with oat milk and they were super kind about me taking my time and looking over all the choices for food. I decided on an egg bagel cause I'm basic and it was so fresh. It was toasted perfectly and didn't have an overwhelming amount of cream cheese on it. This might just be my new favorite local coffee spot. It's cute, nicely decorated, reasonably priced, friendly, and offers a variety of tasty coffees, teas, cappuccino, breakfast and lunch. The staff here is beyond hospitable. This was my first visit and I ordered a vanilla/hazelnut cappuccino with a sprinkle of cinnamon along with an Italian panini. Though I wasn't crazy about the panini, they have a nice selection of pastries to accompany your choice of beverage, which I will get instead the next time I come. The latte I had here was so delicious that I am still thinking about it a few hours later (churro latte made with oat milk, if you must know). It was sweet but not cloying and very, very creamy. Their treats looked amazing but I am on my best behavior so I skipped them this time but would try in the future for sure.
