Came for a small coffee during a Long Island Errands run and the service was pretty fast! The place is super clean and nice which I really enjoyed and I think the prices are great for a coffee shop! I ordered a pistachio iced coffee with almond milk and it was $5,50 The pastries look delicious and will definitely stop by for a next run! Just a little tiny note, I felt like they had a good amount of staff for the business but also felt weird when they hurry you for your order or just looking at you jaja read more

Came here on a Monday morning. I was super happy that there was a large parking lot at the back entrance. The staff was really kind and helped us pick out drinks. The inside was clean, well decorated and bright. There were several tables for seating. We order two of the speciality lattes Cadbury egg and Cheerios, a kids hot chocolate, a vanilla latte and a chocolate cake pop. All the drinks came out fast and delicious. The Cadbury egg was my personal favorite. It was a delicious mix of Carmel, toffee and butterscotch. The vanilla latte was exactly what I was looking for in a latte. Classically delicious. The cake pop was chocolate on the outside vanilla cake on the inside. I'd happily come back here for more drinks! The pastry's looked amazing and I need to come back to try more read more

I've been wanting to come here since I worked in Amityville a few years ago and I never made it. I was in the area today, so I decided to stop in. I was greeted right away by barista Alexis. She was so sweet and welcoming. When I told her I'd never been before, she welcomed me and asked me what I like. She got to know me which was very nice! After I told her my flavor profile and preferences she recommend the honey nut cheerio latte (current special). I went with it and within the first sip I felt like I was eating a bowl of cereal! The flavors were definitely a honey nut cheerio to a t! I noticed there are plenty of food options and vegan options available. There's street parking and parking in the back available as well. I would definitely stop in again! Cheers! read more

Service was wonderful and friendly. We arrived on a random Saturday morning and they had many options to choose from. They had seasonal/winter/valentines specials which were pretty cool. I got the Teddy Bear latte and was surprised on how sweet it was; I could barely taste the espresso. My brother got the matcha made in heaven, we are a little picky with our matcha so it was a gamble; he wasn't very fond on it and found it to be very milky/overly sweet. The drinks itself are pretty expensive for what it is. I'm willing to give them another shot read more

I've been wanting to check this place out for a bit, but it's alway crowded when I did remember. I came here Sunday morning, was greeted immediately when I entered. It was other patrons there but quiet. What annoyed me was there was a lady sitting in her seat while her dog was on a leach away from her and customer had to step over the leach to get to the register to order, some ppl are soo inconsiderate and rude. Anyways besides that, I ordered an iced matcha latte with vanilla. Let's just say I will be coming back, it was really good and trust a lot of time ppl do not know how to make matcha... it was a bit pricey at $9 for a large but it was really good, next time I'm going to try it with lavender and vanilla. Cashier was sweet and the young man making the drinks was nice as well. Fyi if you want to come and work they do have wifi and all. read more

The service is sweet, the space is cute, but the coffee was kind of a letdown. I too was attracted to the instagram posts highlighting their extravagant concoctions. You have a wide variety of flavors to choose from, plus a seasonal menu! I walked in a bit perplexed but the staff really was super sweet and patient with me. I ended up with a Banana Cream Pie iced latte and was quickly served. The latte did come with whip and banana bread crumbs on top which I appreciated. But it was just generically sweet and had no banana flavor to it. With that being said, if that is your type of flavored latte, you may enjoy this place! But personally I like my flavored lattes to taste like the advertised flavor and this just did not hit. Overall, I would love to give this place another shot and try another coffee. But for now? It's on the lower rung of coffee shops on LI imo! read more

Our girl Hailey was attentive, friendly, a warm smile to proceed a nice cup of joe. A very nice assortment of coffee and baked goods, pet friendly, nice merch, and great playlist while we occupied our table. Street parking and back lot. Only thing, especially during this wintery weather was it was soooo cold inside. Guess that's the suggestive selling to get you to buy a sweatshirt well played Anchor... well played. read more

Just tried this place out the other day. I ordered a Vanilla Iced Latte with Oat Milk and tried their BLT sandwich. The staff were extremely nice and it didn't take long to receive my food. The latte and sandwich were good. The vibes in this place were immaculate and I felt very comfortable. An issue I had was that they hide the sandwich prices on their menu, which was annoying. The prices also are a bit high, which I can understand but still find extreme. Another problem for me was that it was difficult to eat my sandwich because it kept falling apart. Overall, I liked my experience here and if I had the money I would go again. read more

Anchor coffee has great vibes, great pastries, great service, however, lacks in what matters most, coffee. I do understand I am more picky with my coffee and not every place is going to reach my standard. I usually get a cortado to really set the bar of each coffee shop I head to. The issue with my cortado is that there was no milk foam like a true cortado and the coffee was very watery. Almost as if they took pour over and milk and called it a day. It could've been a one off and next time I go there it'll be amazing and that will definitely entice me to update my review. As for the pastries, they were amazing and I truly enjoyed the ambiance. The service was absolutely amazing as well! read more

I went to Anchor coffee because I have been seeing their posts on instagram with these cute, extravagant coffees and wanted to try it out! And in all honesty, I was very disappointed. I think their instagram is all for show, just to get customers through the door. I ordered the Banana Cream Pie Coffee- it tasted really good but was nothing like the pictures they show on instagram. It did not have caramel drizzle, no whipped cream and no bananas on top. Sadly I wouldn't go back as this was the reason why I came in. read more

Great coffee and amazing service! I've been trying out new coffee shops all over LI, but this has to be one of my favs. I came a couple weeks ago, so they had a few seasonal flavors available. I got the pumpkin pie iced latte, which was delicious. I'm not sure how busy it can get, but there was only 1 other customer in the store at that time so my drink came out super quick. It's also the perfect place to sit down and get some work done if needed. Would definitely visit again! read more

The 2 girls had an attitude. Slow service. The croissants and other items I bought are on the heavy/greasy side. A customer next to me on line asked the girl that he was still waiting for his order. She snapped back, "There were about 30 people here! I will get to it!" (It's a small place, you can only fit about maybe 15 people on line) I sat at a table for a bit, it needed cleaning, it was greasy and had crumbs. read more

Unwelcoming and rude service. Never again!!! The man behind the counter had the worst attitude.

Nice ambiance when I walked in. Nobody was at the counter. I waited about 5 minutes and knocked on the door to let them know I wanted to order something because they were hanging out in the back. The girl gave me a snotty attitude once walked in and she took my order. $20 for a large coffee and an apple turnover. I asked for a receipt and she added on a granola bar which I didn't ask for. I wonder if she put it on there so she can eat one. I didn't say anything and just took the bar. Tall black hair girl should work on her hospitality toward customers. Otherwise food and coffee was great. read more

The barista's(the tall young lady with blonde hair working on 5/25/15) nasty attitude, slow service weak coffee and the syrup that that's used in my s'mores latte didn't taste good. Order a medium latte and she made me a small latte!!! When I expressed that I didn't like the latte, the barista made me wait, told me I cut the line when I didn't and purposely kept skipping over me until I had to bring it to her attention. Furthermore, she did not offer to make me a new drink, I had to pay for another drink. Ursula read more

LOVE LOVE LOVE this coffee spot. I met my friend and colleague here and we had an absolutely great time enjoying coffee, sandwiches and the vibe! I ended up staying here for 3 hours while sipping, eating, and plugging away on my work laptop. One of the best coffee experiences I've ever had! Some of the friendliest people work at Anchor Coffee and they welcome you with open arms and hot lattes. I ordered the lavender vanilla cappuccino with oat milk and they were super kind about me taking my time and looking over all the choices for food. I decided on an egg bagel cause I'm basic and it was so fresh. It was toasted perfectly and didn't have an overwhelming amount of cream cheese on it. The vibe here is honestly just like a big hug from a loved one. I highly recommend stopping in and chatting with the lovely staff. This might just be my new favorite local coffee spot. It's cute, nicely decorated, reasonably priced, friendly, and offers a variety of tasty coffees, teas, cappuccino, breakfast and lunch. The staff here is beyond hospitable. This was my first visit and I ordered a vanilla/hazelnut cappuccino with a sprinkle of cinnamon along with an Italian panini. Though I wasn't crazy about the panini, they have a nice selection of pastries to accompany your choice of beverage, which I will get instead the next time I come. Thanks Anchor House for your help in ordering and for a pleasant experience. Looking forward to returning! read more

The latte I had here was so delicious that I am still thinking about it a few hours later (churro latte made with oat milk, if you must know). It was sweet but not cloying and very, very creamy. Their treats looked amazing but I am on my best behavior so I skipped them this time but would try in the future for sure. A good selection of scones, cookies, muffins, etc. They also had some fruit and yogurt cups available.
