Bummed about this spot. The reviews looked promising enough but I have to disagree. Maybe it was just an off Sunday but both our drinks were just outright bad. My latte tasted like it had no espresso & way too much syrup. My boyfriend's coffee was watery, with a burnt flavor. It was over filled and the lid wasn't on right so it spilled everywhere. The staff was nice but they didn't really seem to know what was going on :( the inside is cute but there was no bathroom available when we went. It was out of order and we couldn't use the staff one. Always been my spot for açaí! Nowhere else does it this good. I've tried bowls all over and nothing hits like Babylon Bean. The consistency is always on point (never icy or soupy), the toppings are super fresh, and they layer it right so you're not just eating fruit off the top and "meh" underneath. This place is very cute. Small though, but I really love it. There's only a handful of seating on the inside and maybe 3-4 tables on the outside. It's right on the other side of the main strip so you won't find it in town. The employees are very nice and informative. What I love about this place is that it has gluten free/low sugar items. Walls are decorated with wall art for sale and a mix of coffee and abstract paintings. Staff is friendly and looks like a good spot to get work done as I can see from the customers. Forgot it was a holiday when I stopped here in January for the first time on MLK day. There was a bit of a line around 10am but the line moved pretty quickly. I ordered a latte and acai bowl. I enjoyed the coffee at the Babylon Coffee house but when I went they didn't have the Vietnamese coffee I wanted. I still was very happy with that coffee I selected and it was nice to be able to sit outside. I noticed that they carry such a wide array of healthy beverage options in their cooler, as well as healthy and some not so healthy but amazing delicious and sweet options. The bathroom was clean so I can appreciate that they are tending to it often during the current climate. I would definitely frequent this coffee shop more if I lived closer. read more

Because the Babylon Bean is so wonderfully similar to the Patchogue Bean. You walk in and there is an array of options to choose from! Lattes, cold brews, teas, flavored lattes, cakes, snacks, biscotti, etc. Some options similar to Patchogue's offerings, but I found there were more speciality lattes offered here, including a list of baristas' favorites. I ended up getting an iced Samoa latte, and service was pretty quick! Even with a group in front of me. The latte had this wonderfully strong coconut flavor to it, reminiscent of a Samoa. Looking around, there is indoor and outdoor seating and thankfully it was not packed (because COVID has me mad scared of crowds yo). Overall, although I live quite a distance away, I can totally imagine myself sitting here to do some work with a laptop, and slowly making my way through the entire menu, because I love this chain so much. read more

My good friend and I stopped here after dinner. I had heard great things about this coffee shoppe and have been wanting to stop by for a long time. When we walked in, I didn't even read the whole special board because one drink immediately jumped out: the Lucky Charms latte. I was sold. There was no question that I was getting this. I actually said, "WOAH" when I took my first sip. It was insane how it tasted like adult Lucky Charms. They got the right idea with this one. This drink is for adults who try to stay away from eating Lucky Charms but so much want to eat it the same time. The staff is very cool here. They were patient and nice even though it was close to closing time. As we were leaving, I looked at the special board and finally read the other selections. Found this spot on Yelp and Google. Hands down, one of the best coffee spot I been to. As soon as you walk in, the smell of coffee just filled my world :)! I only tried their cappuccino and their caramel macchiato but they were both very good! My boyfriend tried the latte that had coconut and dark chocolate latte. I tried it, it was good! First time visit to Babylon Bean Coffee shop. Actually, I had a tea. They have a shelf with lots of boxes to choose a flavor from. Ok so that's not so special- as their teas are bought tea boxes from stores with individual tea bags. But peppermint hit the spot. Friend had a hot latte a fav of hers. I have to gone to this specific location twice and both times I have observed that the staff really does not implement the covering of the face with a mask to those who walk in to order their drinks. I understand that you cannot force customers to put on their masks but also, you cannot be so nonchalant about it when taking a customers order who literally has their mask around their chin. As a business you should not be afraid to reinstate the protocol of the mask procedure. During my last visit I had to distance myself from this gentleman who was waiting to place his to go order because his mask was covering his chin. Rather than emphasizing the indoor mask policy the employee behind the counter says, "I get that it does not do anything but please can you please put your mask on." Personally, I think there is no point in saying anything if you are going to negate it in the same sentence. I once again, completely understand that this is a coffee shop where people can sit indoors for dining but again, it is not about them but rather those who are simply coming to place an order and leave. I did enjoy their hot chocolate when I got it the first time but I definitely do not appreciate their blasé approach to a pandemic that is severe- Twice. I love the Bean! You're not allowed to hate on the Bean. Drinks you must try: the Pumpkin Chai. Hey, that rhymed! It's wonderful to be walking distance to a cool cafe that doesn't begin with S and end in bucks. I love the vibe here, and they have a great drink assortment. The winter drinks look quite tempting - I had the gingerbread latte which was pretty yummy and the eggnog latte is made with REAL eggnog. I have not yet tried this, but it sounds amazing. I'm a girl who likes her eggnog. It's just perfect for the season. If you're into tea, I highly recommend the numi berry iced tea, it's awesome and refreshing. Plus, they support the arts here which is just about the best of all. There is artwork from local artists all over the walls. They host an open mic night which I am itching to attend and possibly give my rendition of Jeff Buckley's "Hallelujah" (yes I know Leonard Cohen is the original original) and yes, this is one of my favorite songs ever. This is a place to check out and love. It's about what you would pay at any other coffee shop, but it's a hometown place - support small businesses! I have to update my review of the bean to 5 stars! Since my first visit I have become a quasi regular there popping in once in awhile. The staff is great and the owner Sal has accommodated my husband and I twice! The first time he agreed to let hubby throw me a 30th birthday party at the bean and he shut down the coffee shop for my party. The second time he did us a favor on our wedding day. He let us come into the shop and take some wedding photos in the shop, and he gave us free coffee on the house for our wedding. I love the bean so much and I usually take some guests with me there if they come out to visit Babylon. My favorite thing to get is a snicker's mocha sometimes with peanut butter syrup added to it. I've had red eyes, regular coffees, chai tea lattes, the funky monkey mocha, the snickers mocha, the three berry latte plus various other drinks everything was terrific. The desserts are all incredible, I've eaten the gelato, chocolate cake, chocolate chip cookies, pieces of pie, everything is this place is so great! There's plenty of seating in the shop, there's art work for sale on the walls and if you are an artist yourself you can bring in some work to sell on the agreement that the bean takes a percentage for selling and displaying the work. All the baristas are really nice and the owner Sal is an awesome dude! This coffee shop will always be my favorite! read more

Great little coffee place. Left room in my cold brew even thou I didn't want it. But it was better then Starbucks for 2 dollars less.

Always busy which means their beans are always fresh. I pick up bags to grind at home so I can make cold brew. There is a big difference between fresh roasted coffee and the kind you get at the supermarket that has been sitting on a shelf for months. I've found that their chocolate truffle is perfect for cold brew. While I don't go for anything else, my coworkers do and they love it. Cool atmosphere and friendly service. Reminds me of that coffee house in that hit 90's sitcom. Bring your friends and chill for a fresh roast and tasty dessert. read more
