We tried a mix of drinks and pastries starting with the Nutty Shakedown which was rich and smooth with a great pistachio espresso flavor. The mango matcha dream was a standout and a great first introduction to matcha, light, refreshing, and really enjoyable. For pastries, the double chocolate cookie was warm and indulgent, the pistachio croissant had a strong authentic flavor, and the lemon bar was bright, sweet, and easily a favorite. We ended with the organic berry refresher which was super refreshing and a perfect way to finish. Overall, a great spot for coffee and treats with a seasonal menu that's definitely worth checking out.

The biggest positive was the staff. Everyone was extremely friendly, welcoming, and happy to answer questions. I ordered a cold brew with nonfat milk but was disappointed to learn that nonfat was not available, so I went with 2% instead. Unfortunately, the coffee was bitter rather than smooth, which is normally one of the qualities I enjoy most about cold brew. I also tried the blueberry scone. It was just OK--perfectly edible, but not particularly memorable. For comparison, the cranberry walnut scone at Gregorys Coffee is considerably better. Brewology offers an extensive selection of creative drinks and attractive pastries, so other customers may have better luck with one of the specialty beverages. Still, the prices felt a bit high for what I received. Between the appealing setting, interesting menu, and exceptionally kind staff, there is potential here, but the coffee and scone did not quite justify the cost for me. Overall, it was a mixed experience.

I wanted a funfetti cake and the one they had readily available had lovely sunflowers on it. The woman working was so sweet and put some writing on the cake for me. The 6" cake was about $50 dollars which seemed a bit high, but I think its pretty standard for a bakery. The cake itself was very moist and absolutely delicious and I would give it an A+. The cake I purchased for her birthday from another local bakery last year was really dry, so I was pleasantly surprised by this cake. The buttercream frosting was where I felt the cake fell a bit short. It tasted like pure unsalted butter and had almost no sweetness to it, so we ended up just eating the cake center and leaving the frosting. Unfortunate for an expensive cake but based on the other reviews I'm wondering if it was just a one time error. I don't think I would get another cake from there, but the rest of the baked goods and empanadas looked awesome so I will definitely be bake to try those!

Unfortunately, my latest order that I put in for pickup was not ready when I arrived. It appears that the staff forgot my order and had to make it on the spot. It took about 20 minutes. Another time I stopped by and got the Milk & Cereal Mochi Donut ($5.39), Croissant Donut with Nutella ($5.79), and Milk Bread ($5.99). I redeemed the Free Shareable Bread or Baguette (125 points) and my purchase was discounted $5.99. I like anything with cereal so this cereal mochi donut was very good and crispy.

Ordering a basic Americano shouldn't be a head-scratcher, but the barista working seemed completely unfamiliar with how to pull the shot and dilute it properly, resulting in a pretty awkward interaction and a hit-or-miss drink. For a boutique specialty shop charging premium prices, reliable baseline bar skills are a must. I'd definitely drop back in for the vibe and give them another shot--hopefully, it was just an off day for staffing.
