Got the French dip it was inedible. Roast beef dry and hard. Avoid this place at all costs. Pricey and serves garbage!

What should be a buffalo chicken wrap

Got the buffalo wrap way to much sauce. The wrap was basically creating a puddle of sauce on my lap. Gross

Really tasty vegan food and snacks. They have lemons available for your food and water which is nice great place to order to go order quick bite to dine in. The service was nice as well. The food was a bit pricey, but overall no complaints with the taste.

Stopped by this place after driving by so many times. Wow!! What a great surprise I had the grilled chicken ceaser wrap and it was absolutely delicious. My son had an Açaí Bowl and loved it too. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. I can't wait to go back.

Garlicky chicken panini (special)

I had the garlicky chicken panini for lunch, it was on special and it was so good. The chicken was super tender and the sandwich itself had great flavor. I loved the addition of the caramelized onions. A great spot to check out for lunch...paninis, wraps, sandwiches, salads, burgers. Vegetarian, gluten free, meat eaters... they have a lot of options for everyone.

This place is really good food. Lots of vegan options and delicious grill food. Personal favorites are the Buffalo chicken salad, and the chef salad . It's a casual vibe kinda of hipster. They always have specials and the prices are decent for the area. The parking sucks however and it can be hard to make a left out of there.

I really really wanted to love this place! The menu looked delicious so I just had to try it. They do offer limited indoor seating and some outdoor seating as well. The place was pretty busy so it took a little long to get our order, but it just made me more excited to try the food. We ordered the buffalo seitan wrap and the ranchero burrito. Both of these orders bring a nice portion so make sure you bring an empty stomach! The ranchero burrito was nice and moist and flavorful. On the other hand the seitan wrap had me a little bit confused. I honestly did not really taste any buffalo. I also noticed that the "blue cheese" sauce was not included in my wrap. I told the waitress and she immediately got me more sauce. After a while trying to eat the seitan wrap I noticed that it was extremely salty. I felt bad about sending it back so I decided to just not finish it. I'm not sure if they were going for salty, but it was way too much salt, my mouth dried up right away. We also ordered some sweet potato fries and let me tell you that those are probably one of the best fries I've had in a long time. They had the right balance between sweet and salty! We also dipped them in the vegan cilantro aioli which was so creamy and full of flavor. Of course we had to finish the meal with some vegan ice Cream cookies which were pretty good, I just say $5 per cookie is a bit extreme, but I guess majority of vegan food is expensive. Overall the service was good and the food was ok too. Might give it another try! If you're looking for a delicious quick by, don't hesitate to stop. And if the food is indeed salty, make sure you let them know!

If you are done with Dunkin' and Starbucks scene in Northport, Batata Cafe, is the place for fresh coffee (hot or cold). Grab a quick lunch or not sit in Macadoo's or Batata's gluten and vegan friendly. Oh and so are the ladies. Ciao!

We are a "blended family" when it comes to food choices. Ranging from vegan to healthy choice to meat eaters. It's always a challenge when we get together for a meal. Batata Cafe certainly exceeded our needs. They have plenty of options and our choices were prepared very well. They included pancakes with cranberry butter, the friendly farmer (sun dried tomatoes, mushrooms, spinach, and eggs served in a wrap with a very nice apple on the side), and a ham and cheese omelette cooked as good as any five star restaurant with a generous amount of ham. They have many cheese options. Choose the smoked Gouda! They also have many other items on display, including chocolate. The seating area is also attached to Macadoo's Grille. We look forward to our next visit.

Overall - 3/5 - just another typical deli in Northport. Definitely some better ones but this place is fine. Menu is lacking a bit and a bit pricey for what you get but it is Northport Village. Staff did go a bit beyond what needed which was nice. Place was nice clean on the inside. Solid spot but nothing worth going out of your way for. Best Dish - Smash Burger

It comes in a giant plastic bowl, with a great mix of spinach, arugula, and romaine lettuce. On top sit two perfectly hard boiled eggs, half a ripe avocado, halved grape tomatoes, feta cheese, pomegranate seeds, and sunflower seeds. Also... the dressing is so good... really fresh and binds the whole thing together. I'm totally coming back to get this again!! They have a bunch of refrigerated cases with fresh fruit salads, chobani yogurt cups, and drinks that would be great for a picnic in the park. In the deli case they have a whole bunch of cold salads... chicken, egg, tuna, and a yummy looking chickpea salad that I want to try next time. According to the man working behind the counter, they opened yesterday (5/26) and are still printing out labels and menus. The whole family was helping out and welcomed me with a smile. I'm glad that this place is fulfilling that deli niche in the tradition of the northport harbor delicatessen, just with an updated and fresher take on the same classics. I'm so excited to come back for more!

With a combination of sweet potato, avocado, black beans, egg, and chicken, I expected it to be more exciting for my taste buds. It definitely needed a sauce, and a little salt and pepper would have gone a long way. The burrito was good, but there is still room for improvement. My husband chose to Build a Bowl that included Catalina Chicken, brown rice, crispy onions, red/green peppers, mushrooms, avocado, pickles, and cilantro vinaigrette. Overall, he was pleased with his order, but he also believed a sauce would've enhanced the dish. Both of our smoothies, the Coconut Pineapple Macha and Lota Berry, were enjoyable, we had to adjust our expectations a bit, but overall, we appreciated the natural taste without the excessive use of additives. We had a pleasant experience; the staff was friendly, the space was clean, and there were many menu options to choose from. We would return.

We weren't there for restaurant week but it was going on. Definitely a beautiful, upscale restaurant that is great for special occasions. I wouldn't consider this your casual weekend night dinner. Everyone was dressed nice (no t shirts). The food and service were honestly amazing. Our server was attentive, gave great suggestions and was so pleasant to chat with. We shared the duck gnocchi appetizer which my husband and I both thought was great and unique. Got the burrata and wedge salad. Both were yummy but not original or life changing, but if you're in the mood for it they were good! The entrees were the standouts. The lamb I had was so flavorful, cooked to perfection and it came with roasted potato's and carrots. I would get this over and over. My husband had the tuna steak which he also loved. We shared 2 sides, Mac and cheese and broccolini. While both were excellent, it wasn't necessary, it was so much food. The our door decor and outside seating looked so nice and I would love to come back in the summer to enjoy drinks there!
