Had a nice lunch with a friend. First time to Northport and it's a nice town. The restaurant is small, maybe 20-25 person capacity, but the food was tasty. Brussel Sprouts in General Tso sauce was a nice starter - not too spicy. Tuna and Shrimp tacos, a Harbor Spritz and a Bloody Mary made for a great lunch. Great first experience. Came here on a weekday for a late lunch so the restaurant was quiet, service was good. Very impressed with the menu items I ordered. The New England Clam Chowder absolutely earns its place as an award winning soup. The baked clams were perfectly cooked in a delicious lemon butter sauce. I always love to come to this place in the summer because it's the vibe is casual, perfect for grabbing a bite to eat and walking the town of Northport. I always get the poke tuna nachos. Those are a fan favorite. The thick chick sandwich is a big piece of chicken and loaded with flavor in the sauce, onions and pickles. The pasta was a nice size and loaded with flavor. The burrata burger was a nice size, although it's more of a fork and knife burger, since it's open face with no top bun. Drinks were good (no pics provided). Service all around was good, however the fries for the burger took forever to come out and we asked a few times on the whereabouts. All in all, it's a good spot for a quick bite, and it's right in the heart of the town. read more

Give this place a shot! It's cozy inside & perfect for a quick bite while walking around the village. We went on a Sunday afternoon (2:30 ish) and we were sat right away. They have a small/medium indoor seating area as well as out door seating. Service was very prompt & friendly. The drinks and food came quickly after. I had a strawberry mojito (8/10) & voodoo steak tacos (7/10) I subbed the jalapeno cheese for regular. Everything was great but I wasn't into the tortilla, it kept falling apart. This was our second time here, but it had been awhile since we visited. We made a last minute reservation and they were so accommodating. We had two very small kids with us and they didn't miss a beat. Our server Mark was terrific. He recommended the Mac n Cheese for our toddler and he was correct. It is now my favorite Mac n Cheese on Long Island. The combination of cheeses as well as the semi burned cheese on top was out of this world. I didn't know I was missing that on Mac n cheese, but now that I have had this one, it's going to be hard to top it. I had the Brown Sugar Spiced Salmon. Mark mentioned it was new and one of his favorites. I have to agree it was really good. The salmon was cooked to a perfect medium rare. The veggies and rice were excellent with it too. I think next time I will ask for light teriyaki sauce as it tends to be a little too salty for me. I left nothing behind which is rare for me. Oh and the Mint Chip Espresso Martini is a must for mint chip and coffee fans. It's safe to say we will be returning for multiple menu items. read more

Salted on the Harbor is right by the water, and we went on a beautiful night. It was a bit hot, but as the sun set, it was lovely to enjoy the breeze outside. Be sure to make reservations if you want to sit inside! I got a coin shortage and my friend got a salted passionfruit margarita. Both drinks were very good. We learned they have a mixologist on staff, and it's clear that their expertise really shines through. For starters, we got lawbsta fries, calamari arribiata, and asian brussel sprouts. For our entree we got lobster rolls with fries. My favorite thing from here were the Lawbsta fries, which had butter-poached lobster, truffled créme, melted cheese curds, sour cream, applewood-smoked bacon, and scallions on fries. There was a generous amount of lobster and bacon with the perfect amount of cheese. Our server, Lauren, truly made the evening special with her exceptional service. Throughout the evening, Lauren was incredibly attentive, making sure our glasses were always full and checking in just enough to ensure we had everything we needed. The mimosa was delicious and the food was too. The chicken and corn chowder was amazing. Shredded chicken and melted cheese in a hot corn chowder. The calamari was a close second for the apps. This is a quaint little restaurant and a good lunch spot if you are in Northport. It is off the water so the views are lovely even on a cold winters day. We stopped in for lunch and the place was a little busy which I take as a good sign. It is rather small with a nice looking bar and a few tables. Our waiter was friendly and quickly brought over some water. Our order came in a reasonable amount of time. We started with Brussel sprouts cooked in a balsamic sauce that was rather tasty. My only criticism is that it was a bit too oily. I did enjoy my Shrimp Tempura Tacos. There were two tacos each with one shrimp. The corn, pineapple and red cabbage sat on top of a double tortilla that had some cheese in between. It was flavorful but a bit messy as most tacos tend to be. My children both had the Chicken sandwich served on a chibatta roll. There was Quacamole, tomato but no bacon as the description had stated. That was a bit disappointing. The fries well well cooked and the taste of truffles was quite evident. If I ever return to the area I can not say I would definitely return. I wish I could have added a half star as a 3 is a little too harsh. read more

Went out for a random night with some friends for a late dinner here. The place is small but has a nice bar and comfortable seating. Service was excellent considering how busy they were. Our waitress attended to our needs/revisions of some of our orders. Drinks were very good too. Shared the delicious ribs with my husband as an apetizer. For dinner, I had the Cobb salad and instead of chicken I got a very nice portion of lobster on it. Very filling. Only downside was the place felt a bit loud but it's bar so I get it. We got our food relatively fast. I got the Shaved Brussels Sprouts & Kale Caesar Salad. It was delicious, full of cheese, both in the dressing and shavings. So good. The hubby got the Thick Chicken Sandwich which he said was good, not great but good. The spicy sauce was good. The chicken, considering it was a thigh, should have been a bit juicier. Finally tried salted on the harbor and we came it at the perfect hour, happy hour. You have to be seated at the bar for the happy hour specials and you definitely don't want to miss them. All their cocktails except the martinis are $10. The mules sounded so refreshing unfortunately the peach one I wanted they didn't have the ingredients to make so I got a different drink that was kind of their take on a piña colada meets margarita. The coconut tasted very artificial. At first the bartender was not really friendly and seemed bothered so I was nervous to ask for something different, but it was really unpleasant. Thankfully she kindly made me a new drink. We both got the huckleberry lemonade and it was delicious and topped with fresh blueberries. They had good choices on the happy hour menu for apps but the lobster French fries were really calling our name. They were crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside and piled high with huge chunks of lobster and gooey cheese. For entrees we got the clam chowder and the BLT. Both were delicious and again well portioned for the price point. The vibes inside were boho beahy and it ceilings were adorned with these cute sphererical wicker looking lamps. This place is amazing and after visiting North port to grab beers at sand city brewing I was in love with the scenery. I def wanted to come back and check out the marina and come check out one of the locals restaurant in the area. My gf recommended salted on the harbor since she was Damian with the restaurant. Love the vibe of this place and the staff was amazing. Now to the food, me and my gf got a few apps and drinks. For apps I got truffle fries, eggplant meatballs, calamari, and we got shrimp tempura tacos. The bartender was great and Ed knew how to make a drink. Wasn't cheap on the alcohol and drink were very well balanced. I was amazed and shocked on great the drinks were. The margaritas were spot on and tasted amazing. I really liked this place and I definitely will be back. Anyone in North port looking for a great place to eat. This place is definitely it, across the street the have a beautiful marina with boats on a dock and a beautiful park. This part of long is beautiful and it must be nice to have money. I couldn't afford a house here but it's a very nice part of Long Island with great bars, restaurants, brewer, bars, etc. Highly recommend coming to grab lunch or dinner with you significant other or just family. read more

It's a perfect atmosphere with the harbor right across the street. This is a small restaurant with a friendly vibe and attentive staff. The brunch menu was large and of course there's a nice cocktail menu as well. Our entrees ranged from the Baja Benedict, the Breakfast Burrito, and the tacos to name a few. Everyone loved their food. The only disappointment for me was that they didn't have the Lemon Curd French Toast which my wife and I were looking forward to. I can here for brunch with my friends and we had the best time. We are hoping to go back for dinner one day. The restaurant is located in North Port across the street from the harbor. The name kind of is deceiving and makes you think true restaurant is on water. Their Bloody Mary's are excellent and they offer unlimited with brunch for $20 extra, well worth it.
