Cute little diner! Been here a few times and everytime, weekday or weekend it's been full! Luckily there were seats at the bar that me and my hubby happily sat in w/o waiting! It's always better service at the bar anyway! Stools were but old and shaky but other than that, all good. Bar service was great. We came at brunch and I always get Eggs Benedict in different ways but I must say just eggs and avocado, the way it was cooked is one of my favorites I must say! We always love coming here, it's one of my favorite spots for brunch!

Great diner! Somehow I had never been here before! Staff are really friendly and attentive. Food was excellent. I was happy to be able to have grits available AND they make their own jam which is delicious . Lots of good items on the menu. There are booths in the front dining room and if you continue walking, there is an outdoor covered dining area in the back. And they don't rush you, however , when I left, there was a line and a wait to get in at lunchtime!

Still the best breakfast. Home cooking! Great service and ambiance. Very big menu. It can get a bit crowded on the weekends so get here early. Cash only.

Love love love everything about this diner ! First thing that catches you is the cornbread pieces and homemade berry jelly presented at your table when you are seated . Yes , homemade berry jelly ! The menu is amazing, breakfast served all day ! I am a big fan of their corned beef hash. It is the real deal, not from a can. That is very rare these days. Any breakfast platter I have ordered, I leave out so satisfied and full. Eggs are never served greasy, and the home fries that you come with breakfast are soft inside, crispy outside. If you are a foodie and a lover of breakfast sandwiches, then the Siegel Sandwich is the one for you to order. Two eggs, bacon and cheese on a large toasted croissant served with home fries. It is such a delicious and large sandwich very easy to share. All around here gives you the feel of what diners used to feel like. Like you are part of a community and welcome. The service is great and do the employees hustle. Parking is really tough over here so we prepared, especially on weekends. You can expect to wait online for a table, but they do move fast and also they have outdoor dining in the back . So glad that Northport has this staple and its community.

food!

We stopped here for brunch on our day trip to Northport! It was busy around 1 PM and we waited about 15 minutes for our table. The portion sizes here are ENORMOUS so keep that in mind! + the "wreakfast" burrito: think of a breakfast burrito but with eggs benedict sauce, sounds delicious right? was definitely yummy and very filling! + chocolate chip pancakes: standard pancakes but SUPER fluffy! the pancakes were super big as well. Overall, the food here is worth the price and very filling!

I really love this dinner! After googling numerous dinners and looking over the reviews, I really loved the history about this dinner! I love old school dinners with great history and a great track record of serving good food. I came here with my girl friend and we both loved it here. It had that old school vibe and the hostess was a sweet heart. Came here on a Saturday around 12, and there was a lil wait. The also have a back area all the way in the back which I loved. The back area isn't in the actual dinner, but a great option if you just want a grab food and don't mind not being in the actual dinner. Great food and great drinks here, my girl friend wanted the gravy and biscuits but unfortunately it was sold out so she went with boring pancakes. I got the corn beef has egg Benedict that was amazing. So flavorful and and cooked to perfection. Great food and service and I will definitely be back. This dinner is amazing and I just love the tow of north port. Theirs so many great things to do after and it's located by a marina with a beautiful park. It's great for nicer weather parks walks. Also a lot of great lil shopping areas and a great brewery a few stores down from this dinner. Highly recommend and can't wait to come back! This dinner is 10 out 10 and a great diner.

Such a gem! A cute diner in Northport by the water with friendly staff and fun decor. Keep in mind, they do get packed so sometimes the wait can be quite long. Service was fast, food was good with generous portions, and the staff seemed to be wiping down the booths before seating guests. I was able to try the fish & chips and a hungry man special (pancakes, choice of two meats, potatoes, and eggs). The fried fish was fried well, juicy, and not oily. The pancakes were delicious and so was everything else. There was a mother and child duo sitting across from my table (possibly celebrating a birthday(?)). I thought it was so cute that the staff brought over a treasure chest and let the kid pick out a "treasure." The kid was so ecstatic and the mother seemed so grateful. Overall, it was a nice experience!

Haven't been here since the change of owners, but seems that everything is just as good as it was. My daughter and I sat outside at her request, dreading it because it was 90 degrees that day, but the outdoor area had ample shade and umbrellas at the table so it was actually very pleasant and a super cute area. We had the biscuits and gravy to start which we both loved (she's a super picky eater so I was happy she loved it). I had a Muenster cheese omelette and home fries which was good, and she had the waddlesticks which was cut up French toast sticks that she enjoyed. Only vice is that their coffee is really terrible for my liking. I drink black coffee and their roast has like a very citrusy undertone which is my least favorite, but that's more of a personal preference than a criticism. Server was very nice. Can't wait to come back!

Best corned beef hash I've ever eaten. Marion's blintzes were fabulous. It's a must have breakfast spot. The crew is also awesome.

Since my review of a disappointing first experience at Birdie Bar, I have returned quite a few…read moretimes (largely because there aren't many options in area and the ease of parking), and have found some dishes to be excellent. This includes the olive oil cake, bbq pulled pork nachos, crispy Brussel sprouts, smash burger (although not consistent in size), and chicken picante. The restaurant is relatively new (just reached third year anniversary), so perhaps the kitchen needed more time to prepare dishes more consistently. For the most part the food now matches the social media hype. TIP: Others have recently noted slow service, incorrect orders. I have been visiting at the start of dinner service, and have not encountered this, so some of these issues may potentially be avoided by arriving before inexperienced service staff are overwhelmed. Most people will be seated on second floor which requires walking up a staircase. If special accommodation is needed I suggest informing restaurant in advance. There is some seating downstairs, but depending of time and day this area (bar) can get uncomfortably loud.
