I love all the healthy options The Green Fork has! It was actually pretty hard to choose which salad bowl to get so I asked a staff member which one she recommened. I definitely want to come back and try more! The salad bowl pictured is the Mediterranean. At first I felt the price point was a bit high but these bowls are definitely enough for two seperate meals! Also if you choose to dine in, there is indoor and outdoor seating!

I'm not familiar with Babylon village but I think this might be one of the only places that does a build your old salad, healthy vibes, lunch spot. I could be wrong but in my very quick and brief search I stumbled upon The Green Fork. After finding this place on Yelp I walked around the entire village of Babylon because I could, not, find, it. It is NOT visible from the street. I think the Green Fork is all about health and they want their customers to do a couple laps around the village before actually finding them, which I kind of appreciate. I met my steps that day and I owe it all to the secretive location of the Green Fork. Anyways. I finally found it. You have to go down an alley and then it's there on your right. It's clean and bright and healthy and worth a visit. I walked in and saw one of the workers cleaning the different canisters and the second she went to take my order she changed her gloves, which I loved. Please don't use the same gloves you use to clean to make my salad, and this girl knew what was up. Anyways. I built my own salad. It's like Sweet Green if you're familiar. She knew I was knew because I kept asking about how many toppings I got and how many proteins etc. Once I made my salad she said, Oh by the way, quinoa is actually extra. Maybe something she should have told me while I was ordering but the extra $2 didn't bug me, just a courtesy thing I guess. The chicken on the salad was beyond minimal, I mean, really kind of pathetic. The salad cost me $17 and it was absolutely fresh and filling but eh, kind of pricey for salad. But gosh it is 2023, everything is pricey. I did spinach, arugula, chicken, quinoa, broccoli, tomatoes, black beans and pickled red onion. They had a lot of dressings. There's room to sit inside. I hope this place does well I really do.

Delicious, fast and fresh. Babylon Village has needed a place like this for a LONG time. We certainly have our fair share of amazing restaurants, but when you're a local...it's great to have a place that you can grab n' go. Bonus points for a HEALTHY vegetarian friendly place like that! Enter the Green Fork. My friend came down to the Bab to visit and we decided to take out from here, as the weather was looking questionable and we didn't want to get caught with our green goods in the rain! The people working here were super courteous and friendly. Don't know the young man's name who helped us, but he gets an A+. We decided to customize our bowls. I got spinach, wild rice, falafel, carrots, cucumbers, shredded mozzarella, croutons and carrots. For the dressing, I opted for the miso ginger. My friend, who is vegan, inquired about which dressings were vegan friendly. The young guy working was informed enough to tell us of all the dressings that contain honey, which many of them do. Some vegans are OK with honey and others aren't. We both really appreciated this knowledge and think it will be helpful to others as well. I have to say, my salad was delicious. It was fresh, the combo of ingredients worked well, and the croutons gave it that perfect crunch. Also the miso ginger dressing was on point - would definitely try it again, although they did have some other interesting flavors that also looked really good. The inside was spotless - perfectly clean. Employees all followed protocol with masks, gloves and social distancing. I highly recommend and imagine this being one of my new go-to spots. Welcome to Babylon, The Green Fork!

Power Steak Bowl....steak, grains, sweet potato, cheese, chick peas, pickled onions...whole pile of yummy!

There are many "smaller" bowl and plate shops that cater to the organic food crowd. Some are bigger and/or better than others. This places is excellent! They're located in Babylon Village and they fit very nicely with the village motif of the area. And, they have Doordash so delivery is a great option right now. They have a varied menu ranging from carnivore to vegan.(I'm in the former category) I can tell you that their power bowl is phenomenal! The steak is full flavored without the "gamey" intensity that it can have sometimes if it's not top quality. The grains and veggies, like the quinoa and pickled onions, were a tasty surprise and I do mean TASTY! Though, the meals SEEM a bit pricy, they are quite filling and actually a nice value! And, the compostable flatware is a very cool small touch that dovetails their overall organic stance nicely! Great food, great fresh flavors...and a solid value! Live this place!

Food was good. I ordered a smaller salad (Lil' forker) it was good enough. I will go back and maybe try the larger salad.

$16 for a simple salad??? Maybe I would pay that anywhere in New York City, but on Long Island? i think not.

We gave a phone number and walked to another restaurant in case a table opened up faster there. While we were waiting at the other place, the hosts at BS contacted us and said we're next for a table so we walked back. When we got there, there were two groups waiting and one of them were called to get seated. We asked how much longer and the hosts said that we had to wait another 15 minutes because they had to accommodate a reservation. It was annoying just because they called us and told us our table was ready and then had us come and wait - the other restaurant also had a table waiting for us but we decided not to leave because it was cold out and did not want to walk back. To make matters worse, a couple of guys came in, gave their number, and were called for a table in under 10 minutes. I'm assuming because they were a two-top. It was still frustrating. After returning, a total of five groups of people were say before we finally got a table. Onece we got our table, our server quickly took our order. My cousin had their short rib entrée with mashed and veggies. Her cousin had the power bowl. I ordered the short rib-stuffed shells. I was not expecting whya arrived to the table. It was blanketed under thick cheese, with what looked like, canned gravy poured on top. I tried it and parts were cold. I went for one of the "stuffed shells" and nothing was inside. The pasta tasted undercooked and the entire dish was bland. For $22 I would expect housemade gravy, tender short rib, stuffed shells, and salt. My cousin ate about half of her short rib entrée and her cousin ate about half of her power bowl, also complaining that it as cold. The food came out very quickly for how it's assembled, which also is a red flag. The server graciously took my order off the bill. I declined ordering anything else. We then waited for her to return so we could get the check. She disappeared. I had to go to the host and ask her to find the server. Another person came and disappeared, returning with our actual server. We got the bill, paid and left. I think we were charged gratuity and I wish I checked before paying because I think I got duped into a double gratuity. The vibe of this place is a mix between college kids and ladies' night for the older crowd. The music is too loud and everyone is screaming because they're competing with the too loud music. We could not hear ourselves talk. It was weird to be at a table and have to yell. In Westchester, we have places like this but it's still a restaurant and you're able to hold a conversation. This place doesn't know what it wants to be - A bar? A club? A restaurant? Parking was horrendous, but I did luck out with a spit right across the street. It's playing a game of musical chairs - you're basically driving up and down the street, hoping the car you're near is about to leave. This restaurant was a suggestion from a person that ended up bailing last minute and I wish we took that as a sign. Maybe I'd come back for brunch service but I'm not too keen on that.

The Brixton is a beautiful restaurant with very relaxed and casual vibes. The word around town is that their drinks are awesome. What about their food, though? They originally would not seat us in the middle of the afternoon because most of the empty tables were reserved. We had to request to sit outside, which was empty, before they decided to serve us. Odd that they did not even offer that to us. The General Tso' Cauliflower was the only great thing served to us. It is incredibly crispy and flavorful. You almost forgot that you were eating a piece of vegetable at times. The Short Rib Brisket Sesame burger was shocking. $18 for two White Castles-sized sliders. It was easily consumed, and I was left much to be desired. This is most definitely an appetizer item, not an entree. The Chicken Waffle was good. Nicely deep-fried and packs a lot of flavor. The waffle looked dubious. If I had to guess, it might not be mad fresh to order. Essentially, it's 3 drumsticks/wings over a possibly frozen Eggo waffle. I would recommend a second dish if you are looking to get full. The Steak frites and Eggs Benedict were the final dishes served. It is hard to mess these dishes up, but the ribeye was nicely seasoned and cut up. The dishes were nicely displayed. Overall, this is just an OK experience. When the deep-fried cauliflower appetizer is the most memorable dish here, it is quite alarming. Portion sizes are on the small end, and none of the flavors for the entrees really stuck out. Perhaps I will come here strictly for the drinks next time.
