I ordered my food and blinked twice and the order was in front of me hot and ready. Which is important if you need to get to the office on time. Well I'm sorry to post a negative review but after last nights Sunday dinner it's warranted. Been going here for 35 plus years. Something was definitely off Sunday evening. The food tasted like it was drenched in a grill solution that many restaurants buy for the flat top such as "whirl butter". Everything tasted like it was marinated in this oil that made us both very sick. We both only ate about 25% of our food as it was full of oil grease and the most disgusting taste we have ever experienced. When bringing to the attention of an employee the answer was shoulders that shook! Really! WTH man was it someone's kid cooking in the kitchen was the staff runners waiter etc just didn't give a f_k??? Never ever ever again. You lost a great old time customer. Yelpers, theres many diners to choose from. Go to Embassy in Bethpage. Atleast if there's ever an issue Gus or his son will do right. This place has gone down in quality and service. Let's start with the ONE pro---child menu eggs were decently priced and a good portion size. Cons-The avocado toast was supposed to be made on ciabatta bread- it came out like this and I just accepted it (my own fault). Took one bite and . The absolute worst avocado toast I've ever had in my life. The avocado was definitely some old pre-made guacamole they got out of a tub... tasted like plastic. It was ice cold. When I gave it back to the waitress when we were ready for the bill, I told her it was cold and terrible, so I didn't want it wrapped. I was told avocado toast is never hot. Well, isn't toast hot? Or at least warm? Bread was mushy like Wonder bread. She seemed annoyed that I didn't eat it. I never asked for it to be taken off the bill.. I should've known better not to order anything. Ambience was normal like a diner... somewhat dingy. It seemed like some shady people hanging around outside in the parking lot. It's a shame to write this review as we loved this diner for many years. The last three takeout orders we received were completely wrong. First time, I understand that mistakes happen. Second time, was shocked and let them know when I went to go pick up what was left behind. Third time, unacceptable and the manager did nothing to make it right. When a business does something wrong, they should offer anything they can to win a customer back, especially one who has been a loyal customer for years. The manager asked us what we wanted him to do and when we said we weren't coming back again to fix their mistake, they had no other options for us and after saying we aren't coming back as customers, he said okay and hung up the phone. Really? Maybe you should be more accodomating and willing to fix your mistakes. First time we were charged for a double cheeseburger, received a single. Second time we asked for extra sauce the wrap came completely dry. Third time asked for Manhattan clam chowder, received Matzo Ball. Maybe they can learn a lesson and have someone check the takeout orders before bagging them up. This was even after I checked my order before leaving, seeing everything was finally right and saying "oh the soup must be right, how hard can that be?" Boy was I wrong, and boy do I NOT recommend this diner for the level of service and lackluster way of properly making and bagging take-out orders. read more

I go regularly for Breakfast and occasionally dinner. The food and service is always wonderful. Whether you are a regular or never been everyone who walks through that door is warmly welcomed. Anytime I need something done specifically due to dietary restrictions they comply.Some of their nightly specials are great. As far as some negative reviews I would say if you experience an issue tell a manager. Give them a chance to resolve it as they aim to please. Things do go wrong and everyone has a bad day. The one negative I wish they would do home fries instead of hash browns but I usually have cold sliced tomatoes anyway. By the way their Matzoh ball soup is terrific. read more

My husband, my mother & I went to the Terrace Diner in West Babylon last Saturday for a late breakfast. We have been there before , but not frequently. That morning a waitress gave my husband a nasty look when we sat down. Three other groups were served before us, but no one came to take our order. My husband thinks it was about color. I would like to think that's was not what it was. Nevertheless, we left after waiting 20 minutes to place an order & went to the Infinity Diner on 109. I tried to customize one of the omelets & was told I couldn't do that (i.e., bacon on the side rather than in the omelet as I don't eat bacon but my friend does so I would give it to him). I ordered eggs Florentine instead & asked for the Hollandaise sauce on the side (this, they could do). The spinach tasted bitter. My friend ordered corned beef hash with eggs & an English muffin. He said the muffin was soggy. He left over half his hash (which is unusual because he loves corned beef hash). Everything was very salty. Stopped in for a Friday night dinner. Sat at the counter water was brought right away. Chose the Southwest Chicken Panini , with fries, coleslaw, and deli pickle. The sandwich was very tasty. I liked the fried inion strips on the sandwich. Adds an extra layer of goodness. The sauce had just the right amount of zing. The coleslaw was a sweet creamy style. I found the flavor very enjoyable. There was a good portion of fries. For dessert I had the Reeses Peanut Butter, was a good way to end the meal. I liked the layout and feel of the diner. I would stop by again when I am in the area. But my Dad who lives 2 towns over keeps raving about the marinated rib eye they call the cowboy. I was off work & he was passing by my house. So family breakfast time! Wowza Wowza Wowza! He was right on the money. I'm usually not a fan of marinated steaks in restaurants. They always seem to be too sweet. Not here! It was perfectly seasoned & cooked medium rare just how I asked. Been here quite a few times and their food was always pretty good. This time I ordered the cowboy marinated ribeye steak medium rare. It came out exactly as I had ordered it very tender juicy and oh what a wonderful flavor from the marinade My wifey ordered the marinated prime rib which also came out exactly as ordered Juicy and Delicious. I was surprised that I could get 2 steaks that was so delicious from a diner my hat's off to the chef And I have to give them credit for their cheese cake and carrot cake that were both moist and delicious.
