Cheese Steak Sandwich.

Our server Sydney was excellent. The food is always cooked perfectly fresh and they served the largest portions. Every time I come to town, I have to visit the diner. The seating area is large and clean. The ambience is Diner traditional.

Based on first impressions I originally thought this place would rank more stars but there were several things that was a missed. I ordered matzoh ball soup and the waitress brought out chicken noodle soup instead. Asked for fries well done, they were not. Turkey burger was dry. The half roast chicken was still pink, not fully cooked near the thigh, leg and breast bone. The bill was incorrect, charged dinner price instead of lunch special price. The food comes out too fast. You place an order, the waitress goes into the kitchen and within minutes out comes the food. It wasn't even enough time to cook things fresh. It makes me wonder if things are partially cooked and just heated up or held in steam tables? Portions are huge but if the quality isn't good enough why bother.

The Olympic Diner has one of the most creative menus I've seen at a diner! Today for lunch, I had their French Onion soup--topped with a crispy onion ring, loaded with fresh mozzarella, and packed with caramelized onions. Such a fun twist on a classic! The cubed bread was just okay, but the soup itself was excellent. I've been here several times before, and my favorite menu item is the Lemon Blue Stack pancakes--fluffy, studded with fresh blueberries, and topped with house-made lemon whipped cream. Absolutely delicious and so unique! My server today, Elena, was wonderful. She greeted me right away, brought the menu promptly, and took my order with a genuine smile. She made me feel like I was her only customer--but honestly, every server I've had here treats me the same way. It was noisy today, but I expected that with the lunch crowd. If you're looking for creative diner food with consistently great service, I highly recommend the Olympic Diner.

2.5 start but rounding up to 3 because I am feeling generous. Stopped here after visiting Tanger Outlets for a quick lunch. Typical diner vibes. It has a pretty outside area with a pond and nice landscaping. The service was pretty good but the food was slightly disappointing. I ordered the Rustic Chicken Panini - it was "OK" taste-wise, but it came out basically deconstructed (see photo) and the bread was soggy. The Tuna Wrap was pretty tasty (better than the panini). One thing to note is that the portions are HUGE, so it was a shame that the food wasn't up to par. I've been to much better diners, so Olympic doesn't quite fit the bill for us.

That's a long time to be on hold

The food and portions are good and in person service is super quick but this is a long time to be on hold. This has been a reoccurring experience recently

Simple diner. No frills or thrills. Food comes out hot and fresh. Service is standard. Not much else to say. Reliable. No complaints at all

Sam, who has been our server of choice for many years.

Place is ok nothing to rave about. It is a little pricey but it's one of the only diners in the area.

I like the fact they have a person specifically to serve coffee to everybody that has a cup. The service was very good as well. The waitress Vikki did a great job. They're very quick to give you your food and water first. My friend had the bruschetta avocado toast. I had the avocado, cheddar, and tomato omelette with home fries. 1. The bruschetta avocado toast: They're too generous with the balsamic glaze. They need to lighten it up so you can enjoy the rest of the ingredients. Anything balsamic is typically a strong flavor as a small amount. The avocado, mozzarella and tomato are too heavy for the bread. They should try a more sturdy bread like sourdough to keep it up. The bread they currently use will just break apart. 2. My avocado, cheddar and tomato omelette w/ home fries: The home fries had some good flavor, but could've been better. The potatoes were cut like coins for the most part and I think that kills most of the home fries experience. Usually something like this is diced up to give an evenly crisp and cooked experience. All I really got was flimsy potato coins with some crisp here and there. Which led to the potatoes being soft and dull. It should've been pressed down onto more to give a more crisp flavor and texture. The omelette was pretty good. At certain points it seemed like the avocado was not ripe enough to cook with. It had a similar taste to steamed unseasoned broccoli, then at other portions of the omelette, it seems fine. The cheddar used lacked a bit taste. Overall, it was still good experience. The people are considerate and friendly. I also think they should bring the food out when it's a bit hotter. I'm not saying I need it to burn my mouth, but I don't want room temperature food that is slightly on the warm side.

Service - 4/5 - went above whats needed. Ambiance - 4/5 - nice vibe and decorated nicely. Overall - 3/5 - ok spot. Service and ambiance were better than expected but food was sub par. Food was pretty lackluster even for a diner. Onion rings were ok, chicken tenders were like every other cheap restaurants. Ordered the Chinese pork roast sandwich and was a total disappointment. Also did not give extras like other diners do. Only saving grace was Banana Silver Dollar pancakes. Service did go above, water was always full, chef and waiter helped get us an order they don't normally do. They went above what was needed. Inside was decorated really nicely, felt very festive and upbeat. Was not expecting that. If food wasn't sub par, would definitely be worth a stop.
