I have never been inside of this bakery, however it is right around the corner from my grandma's house. She walked there the other day to get me a birthday cake. Oh my goodness it was delicious!!! It was a vanilla ice cream cake which was better than any ice cream cake ive had before!!! The ice cream was was fresh and creamy and delicious. The frosting was amazing and it was decorated beautifully. My grandma said the people in the bakery were super friendly and she has gotten other treats there before. I look forward to going there sometime with her to check out other treats. read more

This is an exceptionally fantastic bakery , located in the town of Brightwaters . I've been to this bakery several times and have enjoyed many of their delicious treats . Their cheese cake is so delicious and creamy , they also make scrumptiously , flaky scones and they even make empanadas! Everything is made to perfection with great care and friendly service . Today for Mother's Day my daughter brought over a variety of Mini cakes ... each one more fresh, light and delicious than the next ! The chocolate raspberry was divine ! Due to all the closures it setback our wedding plans, I was a little disappointed but we went ahead got married and decided to celebrate next year. It was a lovely surprise when my sister in law surprised me with a cake and appearance wise I just loved the cake so much!!!! Following that I thought ok now is it going to be good? I tried the macaroons and yum!!!! Absolutely delicious!!!! At this point my expectations were high. Once I cut into the cake it was my favorite red velvet! I'm very picky when it comes to my fav!! Very expensive but worth it, especially the chocolate chip large cookies (very soft and gooey)! I no longer go here because I have cut out all sugars for a healthier lifestyle! However, I do recommend this small business for treating your sweet tooth! Oh and the staff always has a smile to greet you when walking into their shop. Ordered a birthday cake for my daughter's birthday with fresh fruit inside and on top and a blue color icing. The fruit on the top was not fresh at all and had gone bad. It was fruit that should have been thrown out, not on put on the top of a cake, and the writing on top was so close in color to the icing that you couldn't see it. My daughter was so upset she started crying. They offered to fix it but I shouldn't have to bring the cake back to have them fix issues that shouldn't have happened to begin with. It was the morning of my daughter's birthday, and it was a big inconvenience, to bring it all the way back and wait for them to fix it. Fantastic experience from start to finish. After researching custom cake bakers in the area, I stumbled upon this bakery and loved everything I saw online. I ordered a custom 10" round cake for my daughter's 2nd birthday with the theme of "Under the Sea." I was able to text over my inspiration photo while on the phone so we could discuss more specifics. Once the cake flavor and decorations were finalized, I received an invoice directly to my phone. I chose to have the cake delivered so we didn't have to rush around the morning of the party. On the day of the party, the cake arrived on time, looked spectacular and tasted fantastic. So many people asked where the cake was from so they could use the bakery for their next parties. I ordered a cake/cupcakes/cake pops for my daughter's bridal shower and oh my! This is the place to get it from!! We had gone over pictures of how the cake would look and it came out even better than I hoped! They packaged it so carefully for the transport to the venue and came to my car to help. Only four stars cause I'm bringing my "SPECIAL" order there..that will be my make it or break it review.The bakery is very close to places I go regularly and I was just at Gemaginations across the street so..hey I'm parked let's grab some treats.Upon entering there has never been a time I was n ok...i t fully greeted with a welcoming smile.It was hard to decide but the young lady behind the counter loves lemon meringue too so I got one small lemon meringue tart,a cannoli cream tart(mmm) and a dolce de leche tart.Ya,ya I'm am going to share with my Sweetheat why sugar coma alone.I also asked about having a cake made and she was so sweet and kind..plus other reviews on Yelp,I will be there next week.Stop in you wont regret it.. I had no idea what design, flavor, or shape I wanted for the cake, but I just knew it had to be memorable and enjoyable. The ladies here were incredibly patient, helpful, and knowledgeable. They conceptualized a beautiful cake and everyone just had to know where it was from. A little bakery off the beaten path but so worth the trip . My husband got a valentine cake and some little treats there. The cake was very fresh not too rich . It was called death by chocolate chocolate is my favorite food and I lived to tell the tale . Totally delicious. The treats in The shop were inviting as well . I have been frequenting this local bakery for several months now. Everything I have gotten has been delicious and very fresh. They offer traditional bakery items as well as unique treats that are delicately prepared and each one a work of art. To celebrate several milestone birthdays in my family and presented to them on Thanksgiving when they'd all be together, I custom ordered a cake. I took the bakers recommendations on flavor combinations and together we came up with chocolate cake, a chocolate mousse and ganache filing topped with chocolate ganache frosting. Together we decided on fall-themed decorations and placement. It was amazing! The cake was moist and fresh, the filling was to die for, and the overall presentation was simple yet elegant. I will continue to stop in to pick up a treat for myself and will definitely use them when I am in need of another custom cake. read more

This was my first time ordering a cake from this bakery and it was an overall amazing experience. I was throwing a gender reveal party for my sister and the young girl at the counter was so helpful. If you want old refrigerator tasting pastries this is the place to go! FYI as per the cashier pastries are made every 3 days.. I had a bad experience with the pastries called up and explained how the pastries were not fresh and was told by the cashier that the pastries are made every 3 days but usually Saturdays are made in the morning. They must not have had sales the 3 days prior so kept selling the old pastries instead of making new ones. I was told I would receive a call to see what can be done about that. 4 days later I get a call saying nothing can be done that the owner made sure the pastries were done the night before. Moral of the story don't buy from here if you want to take to work or parties because you will be embarrassed. read more

It's the personal attention and details that can only be delivered in a place like this. It's like going into a different part of the country, in a small cozy town (Brightwaters). Today finaly was able to come early in the morning and try out these delicious delicacies!!!!t They were the original facruras that I remembered from Argentina! Th empanadas were to die for! We had loved this place. We got our son's first and second birthday cake there. We've gotten cookies there. Everything was amazing. Then something happened. On Father's Day we got a cake and the frosting tasted like old refrigerator. Then on Independence Day we brought cookies to a friends house, and again it tasted like old refrigerator. A week ago I wanted sandwiches de miga, and thought I would mention my experience. I wanted them to know, so maybe they would fix the problem. They were unaware of any complaints. Yesterday I bought a pound of cookies to bring to a friends house. They tasted like refrigerator again. My friend and wife, tasted the same thing. I just can't go back there anymore. I ordered a cake for my daughter's communion last week. It was $130 - and I made the mistake of paying for the bill in advance. Dulce de leche was supposed to deliver the cake to the Jon Thomas Inne (aprox 5 blocks away) at 1:30. When I arrived at the restaurant at 2:30 the cake was not delivered. Neither I, nor the restaurant could get in touch with the bakery. The waiter then offered to drive there and see what was going on with the cake- if possibly he could pick it up- When the cake arrived at the restaurant it was falling - it looked melted and was warm to the touch. When I received the $130 cake it was inedible. As the host I continued with the party and contacted the bakery the next day. The owner was extremely unprofessional - she admitted that they forgot to deliver it, then instead of delivering themselves, released it to the waiter- and insisted that he was at fault for the cake falling. It is her product! She was paid for it! It was her responsibility to deliver it - I received an inedible cake, and she kept insisting it was perfect. The best part is she offered to do NOTHING for us, claiming her cake was perfect. So if anyone is looking to waste their money, buy a cake from Dulce de leche cake shop! read more

I've probably tried five or six different flavors over the past two years and again all of them were very consistently delicious and amazing. I can't even explain it . It's just perfect. I've had them a few times before when a coworker brought them in. And I finally got a chance to go myself. The product is very consistent. They do have a very specific hours. And as Terry recommended, it's always best to call ahead and either order , check the flavors of the day . & or the shop hours.
