The bakery is located in a large shopping center with a huge parking lot, but finding a spot close to the store can still be challenging during busy times. The prices are definitely on the higher side, but the quality has always justified the cost in our experience. One thing that stands out is how helpful the staff is. They're always willing to answer questions and help you choose something based on your preferences, which is especially helpful given the large selection. On this visit, we tried four Rainbow Cookie Donuts and four Cannoli Rainbow Cookie Donuts. While both were delicious, the clear favorite among our group was the Cannoli Rainbow Cookie Donut. The regular Rainbow Cookie Donuts were very tasty but extremely sweet, while the cannoli version had a better balance of flavors and was more enjoyable overall. I wish we had a spot like this in south Florida. I definitely bought more than I needed but it was so worth it to bring these tasty treats back to Florida with me. I tried their viral rainbow cookie donut and rainbow pignoli nut cookie. They seriously were the best of both worlds, the rainbow cookie and donut combo is perfection. While everything was so delicious and I wanted one of everything, I couldn't for the prices. They are on the higher end but it was worth it for a one time experience. Every time I walk into this place it somehow feels like the first time. Maybe it's the nostalgia from going there with my family for so many years, or maybe it's because it's still family-owned and truly has that warm, welcoming vibe. When you go somewhere twice on a trip, it must mean it's a very good thing. It's like heaven when you walk in there. The bakery has anything you could imagine in the way of a cookie, pastry, or cake. I could have got one of everything if it didn't have calories..lol! The kids had vanilla cake pops and I shared a cinnamon cannoli crois-nut with my husband. It was soooooo good! We ended up going back and got a few different kinds of pastries the next day to share with our family. There was a strawberries and champagne cake we split among all of us that everybody enjoyed as well. The staff and service was wonderful when we went both times. The service is terrible, always a line and the line moves very very slow. I went to place an order, stood on line for about 20 minutes, got to the counter and the lady who took me said you need to wait for the other lady since I don't take special orders, waited another 10 to 15 minutes before I could be helped. I placed my order and then a week later I picked it up, ordered 25 mini carrot cupcakes and several of these cupcakes were on its side so the presentation was not good at all. Will not be returning after years of going here. Disappointed with both the customer service and the presentation of my special order. Will find another bakery for my future occasions. read more

I would've given 5 stars but Alpine (to my knowledge) isn't offering lower sugar versions of the offerings. I'd LOVE to see some baked goods with Stevia in them...and not so much sugar. Not everyone can handle the high amounts of sugar in many baked goods (not just at Alpine). I came to this shop because it was highly recommended to me. I was looking for pastries for my sisters bridal shower. The lady up front was not friendly at all. She rushed me and kept saying "what else" instead of giving me a minute, it being my first time there. She grabbed the cupcakes and ruined their shape, threw them in the box instead of placing them in there so they wouldn't jam up against each other. Sorry to leave a negative review......all the cases were filled with beautiful looking desserts ......The rum babka looked beautiful, but it was stale, dry, no rum and cannoli cream was dry along with the decorative icing. It was discarded shortly after tasting.......I was very disappointed...... my advice is that having the showcases filled is fine if the products are fresh and move fast, otherwise you are doing a disservice to your customers and your business. Typically, we love the Alpine Bakery, so much so that we frequently make the 30 minute drive rather than patronize the bakeries closer to home. Thus, when my mom asked for a cannoli cake for her 89th birthday, I knew where I wanted to shop. I called the Alpine the day before Mom's birthday to order a basic cannoli cake for 8-10 people. The woman who answered the phone told me there was no need to pre-order the cake as the Alpine had cannoli cake "in person" everyday. I specifically asked if one would be available the following morning. She assured me it would. You guessed it! When I arrived the next morning, there were no cannoli cakes in the store. The young woman who helped me said I could have a cassata cake, a cannoli cheesecake, a chocolate mousse cake with cannoli filling or a chipwich cannoli cake. What I wanted and would have been happy to order in advance was a classic cannoli cake, which they could not provide. So this was a very disappointing experience. Luckily, Alpine Pastry is in the same shopping center as Uncle Giuseppe's which has cannoli cake, so I was able to buy what I wanted, but I would advise fellow Alpine customers to learn from my experience and order the cake they want in advance. I would also suggest that the Alpine accept orders for cakes they consider standard stock. read more

Be still my beating heart.... Alpine still has the cronuts that everyone still seems to obsess over. Alpine still has great baked goods and they never miss the mark. The reason for the 4 is sometimes they're too busy chatting with each other and not helping customers OR moving at a snail's pace around the bakery. Such is life and it's still a good bakery. Yet another cake ordered and it was not what I asked for. I have come here on and off for 50 years because of the cake variety but the few times it was wrong I got nowhere. All I asked was for the cake to be redone and it was refused. So why do I bother this time? I ordered an expensive cannoli cake w HEAVY rum for Mother's Day. I was embarrassed because family and guests said the cake was dry and there was zero rum. I tasted a slice and it was dry. A small speck of rum at the center bottom of the cake. I will find another bakery. I spend a lot of money at bakeries so perhaps o find someone to take my money who can make a cake to order and not give me a hard time if they get it wrong. The variety of delicious pastries is unbelievable. If only I had more time on Long Island, I'd be 10 pounds heavier because I need to work my way through trying everything at least once! Of the items I tried; lobster tail, cannoli, Napoleon, black and white cookie and lemon coconut cupcake, the cannoli and lobster tail were the best! These items were so good that I hauled them back to Cali. The bakery sold me unfilled shells and put the filling in a pastry bag for me. I had planned to bring some goodies back so I packed a small cooler with ice packs for the plane ride. It worked out perfectly! The filling for the lobster tail was lusciously creamy which is our favorite. The cannoli filling is also perfect for us; not too sweet, a few chocolate chips and a hint of nutmeg. Maybe that's the spice? The cannoli shell was also nice and thin. If only I lived closer! read more

I've been going to this bakery for years. Everything is always fresh and the staff is always nice and very efficient. The cakes and cookies are excellent as is the jelly and glazed donuts. They also make fantastic Italian pastries in both large and small sizes. The bakery has 3 large counters to display everything as well as bread racks and an area for "breakfast stuff". The lines can be long at holiday times but you never have to wait as long as the line looks. read more

Okay, STOP THE PRESSES! Because their vanilla and chocolate funfetti cakes are some of my favorite birthday cakes EVER! They are the perfect blend of sweet and flavor, and taste as a birthday cake should. I also absolutely love that this bakery allows you to order cakes through Door Dash at a reasonable price and will even write on them through the instructions in the app. Definitely helps in a pinch! I do love this bakery, but trying to come during a busy time or even a moderately crowded time and it's incredibly chaotic in there.
