Dubai Chocolate Cheesecake on a stick
    Gail B.

I ordered the Dubai Chocolate Cheesecake on a stick, selecting a plain cheesecake as my base. It was fascinating watching how the server put the dessert together (watch the videos below): She took a piece of plain cheesecake, dipped it in dark chocolate, put some pistachio cream filling on top and then for the finale, she drizzled some chocolate on top. It was the best Dubai Chocolate dessert that I have ever had because it was moderately sweet. The ones that I have had at other bakeries and restaurants are sickeningly sweet. The only negative at The Dirty Cheesecake is that the dessert cost $15, which is significantly higher than what I have paid elsewhere even though this one was the only one on a stick. The decor of the bakery-cafe was a craft bakery experience that exposed the ingredients and utensils they used to make their tasty desserts. The servers were professional and enjoyed creating my Dubai Chocolate Cheesecake on a stick. I highly recommend The Dirty Cheesecake.

Such cool cute vibes inside!!! The decor is bright and fun! I can't say we had the friendliest service but the product was AWESOME! I got the rainbow bookie cheesecake. They allowed me to omit what I wanted. I ate it quite awhile later in the day after being in the fridge and it was still delicious! I would definitely go back!

Love that they have new flavors of the month. The whole location was clean, there's parking in the back, and everyone's friendly. Tried a few of their Dirty cheesecakes on a stick, a milk shake, and some of their cookies, and everything was delicious!

This is really 3.5* since it's not a 3 and not yet a 4. Note: There is no sign though there is a 3% credit card surcharge. Late Wednesday night, we wanted dessert and saw that this place opened until midnight. That worked for us since it was a last minute discussion. First thing first, the staff is very friendly and accommodating. I didn't want tea nor coffee, she made a hot chocolate and charged as a coffee. It was perfect. Second, the store looked brand new, wide open space, brightly lite and clean. Seating on the left, display cases of the items and ordering on the right. Third, so many desserts for you to decide from - stuffed cookies, cookies, pies, french macarons, chocolate covered strawberries, dessert in a cup, and cheesecakes to name a few. Everything looks delicious though it turned out to be way too sweet for me. If you love cheesecake, this is the place for you whether it's in a cup, slice, or dipped. Fourth, pricing is similar to NYC prices. Yes, I understand rent cost is high, ingredient cost are going up, and wages are going up. It's just a sticker shock during check out since no process were listed. Take a look for yourself and you decide for yourself.

I love the dirty cheesecake! Everything is always so delicious. The cheesecake is so creamy. I recently got the dirty leprechaun, milkshake and it was amazing

I came here for cheesecake, not to be taken advantage of.... Let's talk about the moment I realized I'd made a terrible mistake: they charged me TWO DOLLARS for sprinkles. Yes, sprinkles. Those tiny, decorative sugar pebbles normally reserved for children's birthday parties and free toppings at literally any normal establishment. For $2, I expected a waterfall of sprinkles. A cascade. A tsunami. They gave me a sad, timid scattering that wouldn't satisfy a toddler. I've seen more sprinkles fall out of a broken ice cream machine. And the cheesecake? Decent -- but not enough to get me back in the doors to get crushed by one of their other "specials". The whole experience felt like being mugged politely.

Wonderful experience! The gentleman who helped us was amazing! He made the best deserts, and was the nicest guy. Everything was beyond delicious. They even have hot chocolate that self stirs in a big dispenser. It was to die for as well! The line didn't take too long and they had so many options. We took the cheese cake to go, and by the time we got it home it was perfect to eat! It was clean and cute on the inside and has a nice vibe. Surprisingly there were a lot of older people patronizing this establishment. Take a trip and give them a try, they have so many options you will be beside youeself!

If you have a sweet tooth, this place is for you! They are known for their trending chocolate dipped cheesecake (hence the name, dirty cheesecake) that is then given delicious toppings of your choice! Pick your own, or choose one listed. By the way, you can do the same with brownies! They have other items like cake in a jar, cookies, cupcakes, milkshakes, cake, etc. If you are a coffee lover like me, they have nitro brew, lattes, and coffee as well! Staff is super friendly and helpful. Btw, the owner is a young girl that had a dream brought to life with the support of family! So inspiring!!!! This is a large location with plenty of seating, and a few Instagram walls to show off the delicious treats! It is bright and welcoming inside, and so clean. Parking is in abundance, so that's another perk! Customers for life!

The word dirty is so interesting, especially in the food world. Normally, you talk about dirt and it ain't a good thing, but throw that word in front of something edible and you get a whole new meaning. I'd say The Dirty Cheesecake definitely grabs a hold of this multifaceted D-word and uses it more for good than evil. You see, there are some great aspects to The Dirty Cheesecake, which my wife and I visited last night. For one, the hours are fantastic, especially if you're looking for some dessert on the later side as TDC is open until midnight...every night. I feel like those hours might not stick long term (who's buying cheesecake at 10:45 on a Tuesday night?), but it's perfect to know that's what they are as of now. Interior is also pretty nice with a handful of tables and enough space to feel like you can browse, order, pay, and eat without bumping into others. Most importantly though is the cheesecake itself. Now there are a bunch of non-cheesecake options (cakes, cookies, macarons, etc.), though it's tough to want to sway in that direction, unless you happen to have an allergy or *gasp* you don't like cheesecake and for some reason find yourself here. Really, the "dirty" comes into play through the cheesecake slice that are dipped in chocolate and then topped with a wide variety of toppings. My wife and I ended up with similar slices (mine was Reese's and hers was peanut butter and Nutella), but wow were there impressive in presentation and thankfully, the taste was also pretty delectable as well. I'll also tack on the staff member who took our order in being friendly and asked if I wanted to sign up for reward points. Cool. Now with all the positives, I do have a few small notices that can make things a bit more dirty (in a negative sense). Pricing didn't seem to be posted anywhere which I felt was a little odd, and the actual cost of our two slices was about $24 with a credit card up-charge (which also wasn't posted). This sounds like a lot for two slices of cheesecake, but I'll give them a pass as it's comparable to a speciality slice at The Cheesecake Factory. It also should probably be a little clearer or mentioned upon purchase that the slices are slightly frozen so to truly enjoy them you need to wait a bit as they start to soften. I noticed this info on the boxes as my wife and I were halfway through our slices as we sat there in the seating area. Once aware of this, we decided to take the rest home to eat as it would be more likened to what it's supposed to be, but a bit more focus on conveying this might be helpful. Lastly (and this is personal preference), TDC definitely has a vibe going as their bright interior, Insta-worthy signage, and semi-loud pop music creates a certain identity. If you're looking for a more chill situation, TDC might not be your thing, but that's what gives this place its Dirty style and flare. For my wife and I, it might not have been the feeling we were looking for last night, but I respect it as being something that could work depending on the person/timing/moment. Overall, The Dirty Cheesecake has a lot to like. I'm impressed with the setup, choices, and the cheesecake itself with their plethora of concoctions that can be created and consumed. There are some questionable things I'm not entirely sure about, though most of them are fixable with just a little more attention to detail. I can definitely see myself returning in the future, though perhaps to-go instead so those cheesecake slices will be ready to eat once home as we're about 15 minutes away from here. So until the next experience, I'll give The Dirty Cheesecake four stars mostly filled with the good kind of dirt, if that makes sense.

This place might be a hidden gem. Had this on my list for several years and finally had the chance to go. Parking is in the back and there's a little underpass to get to the entrance, although it doesn't look like it. Inside is decently spacious and the decor is clean and insta-friendly, wouldn't be surprised to see it in nyc. Shared the dulce de leche and the chocolate lava cookie (with ice cream) with a group of 4 and it was the right amount of food. The slices are very dense so I definitely wouldn't be able to finish one by myself. There are so many other flavors and goodies I want to try. The worker was friendly and even offered ice when we asked for water cups. Some outlets and wifi but beware it's hard to get phone service otherwise.

Oh my goodness, where do I even start? If you love cheesecake, you HAVE to check this place out! From the moment you walk in, you're hit with the sweet, inviting smells of fresh coffee and bakery treats--it's like a dessert lover's dream come true. The real star here is their cheesecake on a stick. You can choose from a variety of amazing flavors or create your own custom treat. We tried the Fruity Pebbles and the Nutella Peanut Butter, and both were out of this world! The cheesecake itself was rich and velvety, and I love that it's stored cold/frozen before being dipped in chocolate--makes it perfect for that satisfying, cold cheesecake bite without it being mushy or warm. The service was super friendly and quick, and I was especially impressed that they're open until midnight! If you're like me and tend to crave sweets late at night, this is the perfect spot to satisfy that sugar fix. Plus, parking is available in the back, which is always a nice touch. Definitely coming back soon! Highly recommend this place for anyone who loves cheesecake or just wants to try something totally unique and delicious. Go check it out!

    Lilly's cheesecake
    Scott A.

Nicely located, super helpful staff, very clean. An enormous variety of cheesecakes. We had a single slice of Lilly's cheesecake which was delicious. Do I think it was worth $13? Not really. I'm glad we went and I might go back and try something different but at the prices they charge I'm not in a big hurry.

Always friendly. Bring your hunger because it's all good! The dipped cheesecake is so unique and delicious. The cheesecake is also good on its own. They make wonderful coffee drinks with the best coffee, illy. Definitely worth the calories!

That describes the last time I was at Nappi's Nook, over two years ago. Flash forward to this morning and we're looking at an update that shows a much different experience this time around. You see that first time at Nappi's was not long after they had opened. Kinks were definitely still being worked out and at the time, I just couldn't see it as a place worth choosing over other breakfast spots. But seeing reviews, awards, and that the place was still standing years later led my wife and I to come check them out again. This second time around we snagged a table (they definitely get crowded quickly) and had some very friendly service from our waitress. Things started with their Nappicinos which were a huge misfire that first time, but a definite improvement today. My wife got the Biscoff variety while I got the Peanut butter cup and boy were they tasty. A good balance of coffee and sweet flavors. Now when it came to food, last time I went with chicken and waffles which (from pics) still seemed like something I might enjoy more elsewhere and so instead, I landed on The Stove Top Skillet. This was a combo of onions, peppers, potatoes, sausage, cheese, and over easy eggs. It came out piping hot and it was honestly impressive in how it tasted. I liked the thinly sliced sausage coins and although the pepper pieces were a little massive, they were soft enough with everything mixing together nicely. As for the wife, she went with a special in the form of the hash omelette which was exactly as it sounded with Swiss cheese and paprika hollandaise sauce on top along with breakfast potatoes on the side. I tried it and it was pretty tasty as well. One last item we chose to order was a single beignet for $2.50 as a side option. Sometimes we're just not feeling a full sweet breakfast, but this little fried ball filled with chocolate did the trick. Was it comparable to Cafe Du Monde? No way, but it was still quality. Honestly, the whole meal was quality and definitely several steps up from that first round a few years back. The only true gripe I can give is the soundtrack to Nappi's. The music, a touch louder than one might think at 9 in the morning, was a little too trance/dance/club for the vibe of breakfast. Maybe on a Sunday for a boozy brunch, but perhaps some music changes would create a little more of a "Nook" feel. Perhaps? Overall though, I'm really very impressed and glad to have given Nappi's Nook a second shot. It may have taken some time for that to happen, but it showed that this place was the real deal because it was still around, and winning Best of LI awards in the meantime. Perhaps a place to get to on the earlier side, but for sure a location I know I will be returning to for round three much sooner than expected.

For my coworker, I picked up a pound of assorted cookies so she could try a little bit of everything. Selfishly, I was definitely thinking I should've ordered a box for myself too! She absolutely loved them, which came as no surprise. If you want truly great Italian cookies and pastries, Alpine Pastry Shoppe is the only place that comes to mind for me. I'm so happy to see that they're still open, and I truly hope they remain a neighborhood staple for many years to come.

Had to try the Rainbow Cookie Donut ! The anticipation was killing me. It is a bit pricey at $9.50…read morefor its size but it was absolutely delightful . The inside Rainbow cookie is moist and dense. The chocolate outside was one of the best chocolate hardened glaze I have had in quite some time. **This is a weekend item** The inside is full of temptation. I also grabbed Easter bread and a Crumb Cherry Pie. You can order ahead of time and slip past the line to pick up inside on the right side.
