Tons of ice cream options. The space is small but has booths available -- our party of four fit comfortably. The ice cream was delicious and the service was good!

Ice cream was yummy! And I would say I recommend it except the place needs more help so a possible 4 is now a 3 star review. The line was long even for a Friday night. The poor girl behind the counter was all by herself in the store to serve the entire line. The tables were a mess because prior customers didn't clean after themselves. The owner should hire a second person to help with the line and keep the tables clean. We went in because my husband wanted soft serve. Unfortunately there was a sign that the machine was closed for the winter...it's been Spring for a few weeks. A few kids' ice cream options were also out of stock. We ordered ice cream scoops which were a little soft, as if the freezer wasn't cold enough or the door was opened too long. This all seems like complaints but we enjoyed our ice cream and I would go back except I don't want to clean the table again...

Say hi to Pat, aka Patricia, when you stop by. She remembers my order every time! She should get #employeeoftheyear

Happy Saturday We had yummy fun today Hope you did too Say hi to Pat, aka Patricia, when you stop by @coylesicecream in #islip. She remembers my order every time! She should get #employeeoftheyear Also, the ice cream is the best; the 50s theme is nostalgic, and the service is always GREAT! #SpaSuite4 #weallneedatreat #coyles #icecreamlover #itswhyiworkout #dateday #myhhh #beautifulday

If you read my reviews, I am a chocolate person. I've been to Coyle's in Bayshore a few times. Their chocolate ice cream and fudge is super fresh and tasty. Since we were near the Islip area last night, we had to try their other location. Wow. It was not good at all. I can't explain the taste, but it tasted like practically nothing. It seemed like it was sitting in the tub for a long time. The fudge wasn't as good as their Bayshore location either. We got some candy to-go and it was so hard. What happened last night?

Very very good ice cream, and the shop is adorable. It wasn't busy when we went, but we also eat ice cream all year long, not just when it's hot outside. This shop has been a fixture along Main Street for a long time... we just never think to go there (and don't exactly live in the area)... but so glad we decided to stop by. We enjoyed our ice cream treats a lot!

Customers service was great, real nice and super clean. I would just recommend a bigger garage can or more than 1 as it does fill up quick!

There's a small merchandise area where they sell hoodies, T-shirts, and even a toy ice cream truck. I noticed they had a large selection of ice cream and really appreciated the assortment of cones available. The prices were a little higher than I expected, but the customer service was good. They also offer a BOGO sundae special on Tuesdays, which I definitely plan to take advantage of in the future. For such a nostalgic company, though, I do wish they had some seating so people could sit, talk, and enjoy their ice cream with family and friends. Overall, it's a fun stop for a sweet treat, but adding a small seating area would really make the experience feel more complete.

I went with the ice cream burger which comes with 4 kinds of ice cream so I did Cookie Monster, biscoff cheesecake, chunky monkey and I forget the last flavor but it's sandwiched between two waffle cone 'pattys' dipped in chocolate with sprinkles-it was huge and very tasty! My mom went with the ice cream nachos which was waffle cone 'chips' ice cream and she chose peanut butter sauce. This was just ok-the pb sauce tasted like skippy pb-it does not compare to Ralph's peanut butter sauce at all. There's no seating so we took it to go but the prices seemed ok for what we got.

No way was I letting 3 teens in my car with ice cream. His friend recommended Coyle's off Sunrise Highway. I can't believe we've never stopped here before! It was all decorated for Christmas and had friendly old ice cream shop / diner vibes with plenty of booths and counter seats. It was empty because it was 5 pm on one of the coldest days of the year. They have a wide selection of homemade ice cream flavors, plus soft serve, waffle cones, waffle bowls, their own sundae creations, and ice cream cakes and other treats to take home. I got a cannoli and Irish cream cup, my son got pistachio, and his friend got mint chip and Nutella. My daughter got a hot chocolate that she also enjoyed. I'd say it's easily comparable to OFICS, but the seating and atmosphere takes it to the next level. We will definitely be back -- ideally when the weather warms up!

I tried a few and ultimately went with the cookies and crème with crunchies! My daughter went basic as well with chocolate and sprinkles. They do allow you to taste flavors so if you are feeling adventurous , I saw go for it! You likely will not be disappointed. I typically go to carvel for ice cream cakes, but this might by new go to! Oo and they have two different types of ice creams. Hard ice cream and soft ice cream. I asked what the difference is and they said soft ice cream is soft serve the artificial stuff that you get from the ice cream truck. The hard Ice cream is the ice cream made in house . Aka the good stuff. You're gonna wanna go for the hard ice cream!

Because I am watching my weight, I asked for more fruit and less Nutella. The crêpe was pale, thick, and doughy, but the filling was tasty. I am a crêpe lover, having eaten my first one in its place of origin--Brittany, France--as a 17- year-old exchange student. No crêpe will ever beat my first! That one was a thin brownish pancake made from buckwheat flour and garnished with fresh-squeezed lemon juice, lemon zest, powdered- and granulated sugar. I have never eaten one as good since then, and I have dined in fine French restaurants in NYC and abroad. Yo Go Wild has several small tables inside to sit down and eat, and the place is relatively clean. The service was quick and friendly, but I will not be back for their crêpes. I usually come here to buy their frozen yogurt. They taste fresh and come in a variety of flavors.

Food was pretty lackluster even for a diner. Onion rings were ok, chicken tenders were like every other cheap restaurants. Ordered the Chinese pork roast sandwich and was a total disappointment. Also did not give extras like other diners do. Only saving grace was Banana Silver Dollar pancakes. We were a family of seven and all first timers. Overall, a solid first visit. Ice Palace is located in Oakdale. There is a small, free parking lot behind the building. There are some tables and chairs outside for customers to enjoy their ices. This spot is cash only, so come prepared. Service was cordial. We also encountered the man everyone in the reviews is talking about. He wasn't rude, but wasn't friendly either. Right to the point of taking orders, filling them, and then handling the cash payments. No thank yous, you're welcome, or any other type of friendly chitchat or service talk. Serving sizes were generous, however, the prices did reflect the it. Ice Palace is definitely higher in price than other places. My husband and I tried the Lemon Line Ice and Peanut Butter Oreo. Both were plentiful, tasty, and refreshing. A perfect after-dinner treat. Ice Palace was a solid place to get some dessert after our meal. I wouldn't say we'd return everytime we're in the mood for ices, but if we found our way back to Oakdale, we'd consider it.

That may work at an old school Italian joint, but this is an ices place. There is just too much local competition to not treat your customers like they're valued. They'll go elsewhere. Ok, on to the rest. It has decent outside seating, but the parking is confusing and separated from the storefront. The selection is typical for an ices place, same stuff you'd see at a Ralph's. The prices are high. In terms of the actual ices, the scoops were pretty big and the flavors were good. No knocks on it there. That being said, I can get the same stuff five minutes down the road with a smile, so I'll take my business there.
