Whether you're an ice cream enthusiast or just have a sweet tooth, Mickey's has something for everyone: traditional ice cream, cakes, hand made pies, premium pints, non-dairy options, and their famous ice cream sandwiches (yummm). There were so many flavors and treats to choose from that it took us a while to decide! I loved seeing the grab-and-go pints, such a great idea for busy families or for bringing dessert home. Before making my final choice, I sampled the cookie dough ice cream (which was rich and packed with doughy pieces), but I went with a scoop of Java Chunk in a cone with chocolate sprinkles. The flavor was spot on! A perfect blend of coffee and chocolate chips. My niece opted for her all-time favorite, cotton candy with rainbow sprinkles. The look on her face was pure joy. We took our treats outside and enjoyed them in the seating area, which was spacious and comfortable, perfect for relaxing on a sunny day and making the most of the beautiful weather. Mickeys ice cream kitchen was omnipotent! All the flavors, how they mix, how tasty it was! The smell of sweetness hit me as I walked through their doors. The site of ice cream came into my vision as soon as I walked into the shop. How heavenly everything looked! I really didn't know what to choose because everything looked sooooo good and yummy! I was standing in line forever, trying to decide, when my eyes suddenly landed on the most scrumptious, most marvelous, most extraordinary flavor. When this flavor came into my gaze, I almost started jumping with glee. "VANILLA!I" I almost screamed. I felt like I grew wings and flew high into the atmosphere. I couldn't wait to order. When I went up to the nice lady at the counter, I ordered a vanilla soft serve with gummy bears. The wait wasn't too long, which was just magnificent. I got my ice cream and ran to the out outdoor tables. The sun was just about to set so it was the perfect time to be outside. There were picnic tables with fairy lights and gravel, which I just loved. I felt so cozy. But now it was time to eat my ice cream. I opened the lid and took a gargantuan bite. My eyes wide and and my mouth opened very wide in awe. A little scream actually came out of my mouth. It was DELICIOUS!!! I wanted to scream and dance and singand leap onto a table, but I knew I couldn't make a fool out of myself. I felt like I reunited with my dog after eight years, that's how good it tasted. I was so happy I came to Mickey's ice cream kitchen. I started to text all my friends to come to Mickey's and that the place was just wonderful. Overall, I rate Mickey's a 1 million out of 10. I would say that this might be one of the best ice cream places I've been to, and I have been to a lot on Long Island and elsewhere . Their ice cream is made for them off site. This is a free standing beautiful white building with plenty of parking in their parking lot and a large outdoor area with many picnic tables. In addition to their regular flavors, they have some fantastic dairy free and vegan ice cream choices! The ice cream flavors we bought had lots of large chunks of whatever they said, large pieces of chocolate in the cherry bomb flavor . I wasn't going to get any toppings, since the ice cream had so much in it, but just couldn't turn down the free toppings, so I added almonds, hot fudge and whipped cream. My other companion go sprinkles, nuts, hot fudge and marshmallow . Another person got peanut butter chips! Staff were incredibly friendly and accommodating. Service was excellent. This was a real happening! At 8 pm we didn't expect to see a loud children's party with a DJ and lines out the door. The line moved quickly and our ice creams were excellent. Great new spot in the heart of St James. Saturday afternoon, we're running around and doing our weekly errands. I knew there was a new Ice Cream Shop opened on Lake Ave, the flags outside caught my eye as we swung into the parking lot. The first thing I noticed is how large everything is, from the parking lot to the outdoor deck, Mickey's Ice Cream Kitchen is ready to have a party! Walking inside, its a nice looking spot with window seating up front. There's a case with grab & go homemade ice cream sandwiches. The flavors look amazing and there are multiple selections. The girl behind the counter was helpful and answsered all our questions. My wife wanted a taste of whatever I ordered so chocolate peanut butter chunk it is! sooooooo good! I also got another peanut butter flavor scoop but with pretzel mixed in? Here's the issue, when you have ice cream sitting with pretzels, the pretzels will get soft and soggy. Mickeys Ice Cream was very fresh and the pretzels tasted fresh so Total fan! Great to see a new shop opened in St James, we'll probably come here because its closer to our home. read more

Both flavors had the perfect amount of rainbow cookie and cannoli shell/chocolate chips throughout the ice cream that you got a little bit in each bite. The flavor of the ice cream bases were distinct, yet subtle and not overly sweet. My husband had a cookies and cream MickStacker which was loaded with cookie pieces and fudge. Portion sizes are generous and the pricing is remarkable considering the ice cream is made fresh with obviously high quality ingredients.
